Hydrochemical insights on the signatures and genesis of water resources in a high-altitude city on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, South-west china

Water resources have crucial implications for the steady development of the urban social *** study investigated the hydrochemical signatures and genesis of water resources in the urban area of Lhasa city(UALc).To this end,several analyses,such as ion ratio analysis and correlation analysis,were performed by comprehensively applying mathematical statistics and integrated hydrochemical *** results show relatively low concentrations of major ions in the groundwater and surface water(GSW)of the *** primary anions and cations are HcO3-and ca2+,reflecting the HcOg-ca water ***,groundwater exhibits higher concentrations of key chemical components compared to surface *** are weakly alkaline,with pH values of 7.78 and 7.61,respectively,and they have low salinity with average concentrations of total dissolved solids being 190.74 and 112.17 mg/L,*** inputs have minimal influence on the hydrochemical features of GSw,whereas rock weathering is the dominant controlling ***,cation *** a significant *** influencing their hydrochemical *** to the isotope analysis(H and 180),the primary source of recharge for GSW is atmospheric precipitation,with some input from melted ice and ***,GSW samples from the UALc show relatively similar 2H and 18O isotopic compositions,indicating the existence of a discernible hydraulic connection linking the two water *** research findings can serve as a valuable scientific reference and foundation for the sustainable development,effective utilization,and proper safeguarding of regional water resources in high-altitude areas.

Macro-micro behaviors and failure mechanism of frozen weakly cemented mudstone

Understanding the mechanical properties and multiscale failure mechanism of frozen soft rock is an important prerequisite for the construction safety of tunnels,artificially frozen ground and other infrastructure in cold *** this study,the triaxial compression test are performed on mudstone in the weakly cemented soft rock strata in the mining area of western china,and the mechanical characteristics and failure mechanism of weakly cemented mudstone are systematically investigated under the combined action of freezing and ***,the quantitative relationship between the microstructural parameters and the macroscopic strength and deformation parameters is established based on fractal ***,the failure mechanism of frozen weakly cemented mudstone is revealed on both micro- and *** results show that temperature and confining pressure significantly affects the elastic modulus and peak strength of weakly cemented *** decreasing temperature,the compressive strength increases,while the corresponding peak strain decreases *** the deformation curve,the plastic deformation stage is shortened,and the brittle fracture feature at the post-peak stage is more prominent,and the elastic modulus correspondingly increases with decreasing *** low-temperature conditions,most of the weakly cemented mudstone undergoes microscopic shear failure along the main fracture *** micro-fracture morphology characteristics of weakly cemented mudstone under different temperatures are quantified via the fractal dimension,and an approximately exponential relationship can be obtained among the fractal dimension and the temperature,compressive strength and elastic modulus.

NIR-IIb-triggered photodynamic therapy combined with chemotherapy platform based on rare-earth-doped nanoparticles

Photodynamic therapy（PDT）,with high spatiotemporal selectivity,minimal side effects and less drug resistance,has emerged as a promising approach for the treatment of ***,inadequate penetration depth and poor efficacy seriously restrict its practical *** address these challenges,we developed a combined therapy platform（RENP@c/D-FA） based on rare-earth-doped nanoparticles（RENPs） with a structure of NaErF4:Tm（0.5%）@NaYF4,on which photosensitizer ce6（chlorin e6） and chemo-therapeutic drug（DOX）(doxorubicin) were loaded by encapsulating with an amphiphilic polymer distearoyl phosphatidylethanolamine-polyethylene glycol-folic acid（DSPE-PEG-FA）.RENPs with NaErF4as the matrix possess multiple excitation/emission peaks,enabling activation of PDT under near-infrared-Ⅱb（NIR-Ⅱb,1500-1700 nm） excitation and luminescence imaging in NIR-Ⅱb region by absorbing 808 nm near-infrared ***,DOX can be selectively released in the acidic microenvironment of *** from the tumor targeting capability of folic acid,this platform can successfully ablate tumor cells and inhibit tumor growth by combining PDT and *** innovative approach holds great promise as a powerful tool for cancer treatment,showing the potential to revolutionize PDT.

Developing earth-abundant electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is important for the sustainable energy ***,efficient and stable heterocatalysts consisting of crystalline-amorphous M@MN_(x)(M=co,Fe,Ni)encapsulated in N-doped carbon layers supported with N-doped graphene sheets(denoted as M@MN_(x)@Nc-NG)are synthesized by facile hydrothermal reaction and nitridation *** the nitriding process,metal ions in M(tzbc)_2(H_(2)O)_4(tzbc=4-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)benzoic acid)complexes are reduced to crystalline M cores,accompanied by the formation of amorphous MN_(x)shells;the tzbc ligands are insitu carbonized to form outermost N-doped carbon(Nc)layers that connect with inner MN_(x)via M-N-c motifs inherited from the complex precursors and inhibit the transition of MN_(x)from amorphous to crystalline *** co@coN_(x)@Nc-NG catalyst exhibits excellent HER activity with small overpotentials of 45 and 64 mV at a cathode current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)and low Tafel slopes of 40 and 85 mV·dec^(-1)in 0.5 mol·L^(-1)H_(2)SO_4 and1.0 mol·L^(-1)KOH electrolytes,*** co@coN_(x)@Nc-NG retains 97%of the initial overpotential after 100,000 s in both acidic and alkaline *** outstanding HER performance originates from the crystalline-amorphous co@coN_(x)that redistributes electrons around the heterointerfaces,facilitating the conversion process of H^(+)/H_(2)O to hydrogen and thereby promoting HER *** outermost Nc layers serve as the armor of co@coN_(x),and graphene nanosheets act as carriers of egg-like co@coN_(x)@Nc and conduction paths for electron shuttles,ensuring stable and continuous electrocatalytic hydrogen production.

Bifunctional core–shell co-catalyst for boosting photocatalytic cO_(2) reduction to cH_(4)

Solar-light-driven cO_(2) reduction cO to cH_(4) and c2H6 is a complex process involving multiple elementary reactions and energy ***,achieving high cH_(4) activity and selectivity remains a significant ***,we integrate bifunctional cu2O and cu-MOF(MOF=metal-organic framework)core–shell co-catalysts(cu2O@cu-MOF)with semiconductor TiO_(2).Experiments and theoretical calculations demonstrate that cu2O(cu+facilitates charge separation)and cu-MOF(cu2+improves the cO_(2) adsorption and activation)in the core–shell structure have a synergistic effect on photocatalytic cO_(2) reduction,reducing the formation barrier of the key intermediate*cOOH and**** photocatalyst exhibits high cH_(4) yield(366.0μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1)),efficient electron transfer(3283μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1))and hydrocarbon selectivity(95.5%),which represents the highest activity of cu-MOF-based catalysts in photocatalytic cO_(2) reduction *** work provides a strategy for designing efficient photocatalysts from the perspective of precise regulation of components.

Tetrathiafulvalene esters with high redox potentials and improved solubilities for non-aqueous redox flow battery applications

The exploitation of high performance redox-active substances is critically important for the development of non-aqueous redoxﬂow ***,three tetrathiofulvalene(TTF)derivatives with different substitution groups,namely TTF diethyl ester(TTFDE),TTF tetramethyl ester(TTFTM),and TTF tetraethyl ester(TTFTE),are prepared and their energy storage properties are *** has been found that the redox potential and solubility of these TTF derivatives in conventional carbonate electrolytes increases with the number of ester *** battery with a catholyte of 0.2 mol L^(-1) of TTFTE delivers a speciﬁc capacity of more than 10 Ah L^(-1) at the current density of 0.5 c with two discharge voltage platforms locating at as high as 3.85 and 3.60 V ***/Liþ.Its capacity retention can be improved from 2.34 Ah L^(-1) to 3.60 Ah L^(-1) after 100 cycles by the use of an anion exchange membrane to block the crossover of TTF *** excellent cycling stability of the TIF esters is supported by their well-delocalized electrons,as revealed by the density function theory ***,the introduction of more and larger electron-withdrawing groups is a promising strategy to simultaneously increase the redox-potential and solubility of redox-active ma-terials for non-aqueous redoxﬂow batteries.

Algorithms and statistical analysis for linear structured weighted total least squares problem

Weighted total least squares(WTLS)have been regarded as the standard tool for the errors-in-variables(EIV)model in which all the elements in the observation vector and the coefficient matrix are contaminated with random ***,in many geodetic applications,some elements are error-free and some random observations appear repeatedly in different positions in the augmented coefficient *** is called the linear structured EIV(LSEIV)*** kinds of methods are proposed for the LSEIV model from functional and stochastic *** the one hand,the functional part of the LSEIV model is modified into the errors-in-observations(EIO)*** the other hand,the stochastic model is modified by applying the Moore-Penrose inverse of the cofactor *** algorithms are derived through the Lagrange multipliers method and linear *** estimation principles and iterative formula of the parameters are proven to be *** first-order approximate variance-covariance matrix(VcM)of the parameters is also derived.A numerical example is given to compare the performances of our proposed three algorithms with the STLS ***,the least squares(LS),total least squares(TLS)and linear structured weighted total least squares(LSWTLS)solutions are compared and the accuracy evaluation formula is proven to be feasible and ***,the LSWTLS is applied to the field of deformation analysis,which yields a better result than the traditional LS and TLS estimations.

MOF-derived porous graphitic carbon with optimized plateau capacity and rate capability for high performance lithium-ion capacitors

The development of anode materials with high rate capability and long charge-discharge plateau is the key to improve per-formance of lithium-ion capacitors(LIcs).Herein,the porous graphitic carbon(PGc-1300)derived from a new triply interpenetrated co-balt metal-organic framework(co-MOF)was prepared through the facile and robust carbonization at 1300°c and washing by Hcl *** as-prepared PGc-1300 featured an optimized graphitization degree and porous framework,which not only contributes to high plateau capacity(105.0 mAh·g^(−1)below 0.2 V at 0.05 A·g^(−1)),but also supplies more convenient pathways for ions and increases the rate capability(128.5 mAh·g^(−1)at 3.2 A·g^(−1)).According to the kinetics analyses,it can be found that diffusion regulated surface induced capa-citive process and Li-ions intercalation process are coexisted for lithium-ion ***,LIc PGc-1300//Ac constructed with pre-lithiated PGc-1300 anode and activated carbon(Ac)cathode exhibited an increased energy density of 102.8 Wh·kg^(−1),a power dens-ity of 6017.1 W·kg^(−1),together with the excellent cyclic stability(91.6%retention after 10000 cycles at 1.0 A·g^(−1)).

Extensive Resetting of Feldspar Pb Isotopic composition in Archean–Paleoproterozoic Granitic Rocks from the Kongling Terrane,South china:Implications for Tracing Thermal Evolutionary History

Feldspar Pb isotopes have been widely used to trace magmatic formation and evolution ***,it remains unclear whether post-magmatic thermal events can affect feldspar Pb isotopic ***,the in situ Pb isotopic composition of feldspar hosted in granitic rocks(thirteen Archean and one Paleoproterozoic)from the northern Kongling terrane,Yangtze craton,South china,is *** samples reveal a substantial variation in their Pb isotopic composition,spanning the gap between the 1.9 Ga and present-day geochrons,which indicates extensive resetting by later tectonothermal *** resetting was interpreted to have likely resulted from Paleoproterozoic and Neoproterozoic tectonothermal events related to the assembly and breakup of the columbia and Rodinia *** results suggest that Pb isotopes should be used cautiously when tracing magma sources and petrogenesis in magmatic rocks that have experienced post-magmatic ***,the in situ Pb isotopic composition of feldspar in ancient granitoids may also potentially be used to reveal later tectonothermal *** extensive resetting of the Pb isotopic composition in feldspar by regional thermal events may also provide new insights into our understanding of the Pb isotope paradox.

Achieving exceptionally high strength and rapid degradation rate of Mg-Er-Ni alloy by strengthening with lamellar γ' and bulk LPSO phases

As-extruded Mg-Er-Ni alloys with different volume fractions of long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)phase and density of lamellar γ' phase were prepared,and the microstructure,mechanical,and degradation properties were *** the bulk LPSO phase and the lamellar γ' phase,and controlling the dynamic recrystallization processes during deformation by adjusting the volume fraction of LPSO and the density of the γ' phase,a synergistic increase in strength and degradation rate can be *** the one hand,the increase in corrosion rate was related to the increased volume fraction of the bulk LPSO phase and the densities of the lamellar γ' phase,which provide more galvanic ***,high densities of the lamellar γ' phase can provide more corrosion interface by inhibiting the recrystallization process to refine dynamic recrystallized(DRXed)grains during the hot *** the other hand,the ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and tensile yield strength(TYS)of the Mg-Er-Ni alloy increased from 345 and 265 MPa to 514 MPa and 358 MPa,respectively,which was mainly attributed to grain boundary and texture strengthening,bulk LPSO phase and lamellar γ' phase ***,Mg^(-1)4Er-4Ni alloy,which contains the highest volume fraction bulk LPSO phase and the densities of lamellar γ' phase,re-alized a synergistic enhancement of strength and degradation *** UTS,TYS,and degradation rate of Mg^(-1)4Er-4Ni were 514 MPa,358 MPa,and 142.5 mg cm^(-2)h^(-1)(3 wt%Kcl solution at 93◦c),*** research provides new insight into developing Mg alloys with high strength and degradation rates for fracturing tool materials in the application of oil and gas exploitation in harsh environments.
