Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic autoimmune disorder marked by persistent synovial inflammation and joint degradation,posing challenges in the development of effective ***,an alkaloid found in lotus leaf,has shown promising anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects,yet its efficacy in RA treatment remains *** study investigated the antiproliferative effects of nuciferine on the MH7A cell line,a human RA-derived fibroblast-like synoviocyte,revealing its ability to inhibit cell proliferation,promote apoptosis,induce apoptosis,and cause G1/S phase ***,nuciferine significantly reduced the migration and invasion capabilities of MH7A *** therapeutic potential of nuciferine was further evaluated in a collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)rat model,where it markedly alleviated joint swelling,synovial hyperplasia,cartilage injury,and inflammatory *** also improved collagen-induced bone erosion,decreased pro-inflammatory cytokines and serum immunoglobulins(IgG,IgG1,IgG2a),and restored the balance between T helper(Th)17 and regulatory T cells in the spleen of CIA *** results indicate that nuciferine may offer therapeutic advantages for RA by decreasing the proliferation and invasiveness of FLS cells and correcting the Th17/Treg cell imbalance in CIA rats.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate blood pressure rhythm(BPR)in Yin deficiency syndrome of hypertension(YDSH)patients and develop a random forest model for predicting ***: Our study was consistent with technical processes and specification for developing guidelines of Evidence-based chinese medicine clinical practice(T/CACM 1032-2017). We enrolled 234 patients who had been diagnosed with primary hypertension without antihypertensive medications prior to the enrollment. All participants were divided into Yin deficiency group(YX, n = 74) and non-Yin deficiency group(NYX, n = 160).Participants were professionally grouped by three experienced chief traditional chinese medicine(TCM)physicians according to four examinations(i.e.,inspection, listening and smelling, inquiry and palpation).We collected data on 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM) and YDSH rating scale. We divided 24 h of a day into 12 two-hour periods [Chen-Shi(7:00-9:00), Si-Shi(9:00-11:00), Wu-Shi(11:00-13:00), Wei-Shi(13:00-15:00), Shen-Shi(15:00-17:00), You-Shi(17:00-19:00), Xu-Shi(19:00-21:00), Hai-Shi(21:00-23:00), ZiShi(23:00-1:00), Chou-Shi(1:00-3:00), Yin-Shi(3:00-5:00), Mao-Shi(5:00-7:00)] according to the theory of “midnight-midday ebb flow”. We used random forest to build the diagnostic model of YDSH, with whether it was Yin deficiency syndrome as the outcome. RESULTS: Compared with NYX group, YX group had more female participants with older age, lower waist circumference, body mass index(BMI), diastolic blood pressure(DBP), and smoking and drinking rate(all P < 0.05). The YDSH rating scores of YX group [28.5(21.0-36.0)] were significantly higher than NYX group [13.0(8.0-22.0)](P < 0.001), and the typical symptoms of YX group included vexing heat in the chest, palms and soles, dizziness, dry eyes, string-like and fine pulse, soreness and weakness of lumbus and knees, palpitations, reddened cheeks, and tinnitus(all P < 0.05). A real-world study of the differences in traditional chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment rules for coronavirus disease 2019 between Northern and Southern China

OBJECTIVE:To explore the differences in traditional chinese medicine(TCM)diagnosis and treatment rules for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)between Northern and Southern China based on the real-world data from 982 COVID-19 ***:All consecutive cases of COVID-19 admitted to the TCM department of designated COVID-19 hospitals in eight provinces and cities were retrospectively *** were divided into a Northern and a Southern group according to the location of the admitting *** symptoms,syndrome elements,syndrome distribution and herbal treatments were *** core prescriptions were extracted using the multiscale backbone-based network comparison algorithm(msbNC).RESULTS:The distribution of syndrome elements showed that dampness was common in Northern and Southern China,wind and heat were more often present in the South,while fire toxin and spleen deficiency were more often encountered in the *** distribution of syndromes showed that the South was dominated by heat dampness accumulating in the lung(55.69%),while the North was dominated by dampness-toxin stagnating in the lung(44.90%).The results of core prescription mining showed that dispelling dampness,dispersing wind,clearing heat and strengthening spleen were the common treatment methods in Northern and Southern *** mild cases,Jinyinhua(Flos Lonicerae)and Lianqiao(Fructus Forsythiae Suspensae)were often used in the South to clear heat and relieve exterior symptoms,while Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis)and Huangqin(Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis)were often used in the North to relieve muscles by expelling *** moderate cases,Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis),Qinghao(Herba Artemisiae Annuae),and Shigao(Gypsum Fibrosum)were often used to clear heat of Tri-jiao Channel and stomach in the South,while Fuling(Poria),Chenpi(Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae),and Dangshen(Radix Codonopsis)were often used to invigorate spleen and remove dampness in the *** severe cases

Objective:The aim of this study was to explore the effects of Babao dan(BBD),a traditional chinese medicine,on gastric cancer(GC)progression in *** and Methods:A subcutaneous xenograft mouse model of GC was established using MGC80-3 *** terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP:2'-deoxyuridine 5'-triphosphate-biotin nick-end labeling method was adopted to detect cell apoptosis in *** expression levels of proteins associated with proliferation,apoptosis,and angiogenesis were measured by immunohistochemical staining or western blotting(WB).The activation and protein levels of p-c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK),p-p38,p-extracellular-regulated kinase 1/2,p-nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB),and p-STAT3 were examined by Bio-plex and ***:BBD significantly inhibited tumor growth in GC mouse models with no adverse effect on body weight or organ *** was also found that BBD significantly suppressed the proliferation of GC tumor cells,induced the apoptosis of tumor cells,and inhibited angiogenesis through inactivating with mitogen-activated protein kinase,NF-κB,and STAT3 ***:BBD exerts suppressive effects on GC tumor growth by regulating multiple pathways in vivo,which may provide a novel treatment option for GC therapy.
