This paper studied the effects of different retarders on the performance of the"one-step"alkali-activated co.posite cementitious material(ACCM)which is co.posed of ground granulated blast slag(GGBS)and fly ash(FA),and analyzed its mechanical properties,hydration mechanism,and retardation *** effects of retarders on the hydration products,mechanical properties,and hydration kinetics of ACCM were investigated using XRD,SEM,FTIR,EDS,and thermoactive *** results showed that Na_(2)B_(4)O_(7)·10H_(2)O(B)delayed the exotherm during the alkali activation process and co.ld effectively delay the setting time of ACCM,but the mechanical properties were slightly *** setting time of ACCM increased with the increase in SG co.tent,but the mechanical properties of ACCM decreased with the increase in SG co.tent.C1_(2)H_(22)O_(11)(CHO)co.ld effectively delay the hydration reaction of ACCM and weakly enhanced the co.pressive strength.H_(3)PO_(4)(HP)at a co.centration of 0.05 mol/L had a certain effect on ACCM retardation,but HP at a co.centration of 0.07 and 0.09 mol/L had an effect of promoting the setting and hardening time of ACCM.

Iron is a crucial micronutrient, and its deficiency can have detrimental effects on the health of infants. Dietary polysaccharide-iron(Ⅲ) co.plexes(PICs) are promising for addressing iron deficiency due to their minimal adverse reactions and high iron absorption rate. This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary Enteromorpha prolifera polysaccharide-Fe(Ⅲ) co.plex(EP-Fe) on newborns, using 3-day weaned piglets as the iron-deficiency model. Results showed that EP-Fe improved iron levels and promoted intestinal development in piglets. Transcriptome sequencing revealed that EP-Fe increased the survival of intestinal epithelial cells under hypoxia by upregulating the expression of genes that promote the development of the vascular system. Additionally, EP-Fe enhanced the muco.al barrier functions by inhibiting myosin light chain kinase(MLCK)/phosphorylated myosin light chain(p-MLC) signaling pathway to increase the expression of intestinal tight junction proteins. Furthermore, the 16S r RNA gene sequencing of gut microbiota showed that EP-Fe promoted the enrichment of Bacteroides＿fragilis and other gut microbes that can metabolize carbohydrates. In co.clusion, EP-Fe is an effective iron supplement for newborns, and it can be developed as a co.prehensive nutritional supplement.

The paper presents experimental investigation results of crack pattern change in cement pastes caused by external sulfate attack （ESA）.To visualize the formation and development of cracks in cement pastes under ESA,an X-ray co.puted tomography （X-ray CT） was used,i e,the tomography system of Zeiss Xradia 510 *** results indicate that X-CT can monitor the development process and distribution characteristics of the internal cracks of cement pastes under ESA with attack *** addition,the C3A co.tent in the cement significantly affects the damage mode of cement paste specimens during sulfate *** damage of ordinary Portland cement （OPC） pastes subjected to sulfate attack with high C3A co.tent are severe,while the damage of sulfate resistant Portland cement （SRPC） pastes is much smaller than that of OPC ***,a quadratic function describes the co.relation between the crack volume fraction and development depth for two cement pastes immermed in sulfate solution.

In the realm of Intelligent Railway Transportation Systems,effective multi-party co.laboration is crucial due to co.cerns over privacy and data *** Federated Learning(VFL)has emerged as a promising approach to facilitate such co.laboration,allowing diverse entities to co.lectively enhance machine learning models without the need to share sensitive training ***,existing works have highlighted VFL’s susceptibility to privacy inference attacks,where an honest but curious server co.ld potentially reco.struct a client’s raw data from embeddings uploaded by the *** vulnerability poses a significant threat to VFL-based intelligent railway transportation *** this paper,we introduce SensFL,a novel privacy-enhancing method to against privacy inference attacks in ***,SensFL integrates regularization of the sensitivity of embeddings to the original data into the model training process,effectively limiting the information co.tained in shared *** reducing the sensitivity of embeddings to the original data,SensFL can effectively resist reverse privacy attacks and prevent the reconstruction of the original data from the *** experiments were co.ducted on four distinct datasets and three different models to demonstrate the efficacy of *** results show that SensFL can effectively mitigate privacy inference attacks while maintaining the accuracy of the primary learning *** results undersco.e SensFL’s potential to advance privacy protection technologies within VFL-based intelligent railway systems,addressing critical security co.cerns in co.laborative learning environments.

Mechanical properties of frozen rock mass with two diagonal intersected fractures

Based on previous research results, this paper investigated the influence of fracture morphology on mechanical properties and failure modes of rock mass with two diagonal intersected fractures. This study carried out a series of triaxial co.pression tests on rock-like specimens with two crossed fractures under negative temperature, co.cluded the following co.clusions. The strength and failure modes of rock mass are significantly influenced by the dips of two crossed fractures. The strength of rock mass with two frac- tures cannot simply be estimated using the method that was developed for the rock mass with a single fracture. When the intersecting angle is less than 30~, the failure plane initiates at the tip of ＂artificial rup- tures＂ and extends to the upper and lower ends of the specimen. In case of a higher dip and intersecting angle ranging from 30° to 60°, the failure plane propagates along one of these two fractures. The mechan- lca! parameters of rock mass are not only related to the trace length, but also depend on the trace !ength ratio. One co.ld roughly calculate the strength parameters using the approximation proposed *** paper..For the rock mass with a trace length ratio 〈0.3 （short trace length/long trace length）, the failure mode is dependent on the fracture with a longer trace length. When the trace length beco.es significant and the trace length ratio approximates to 1, the failure plane propagates along two fractures, where an *** pattern is presented： For the rock mass with moderate frac!ures and a trace length ratio of approxlmately 1, the failure mode *** on fractures, which is simllar to .the damage pattern of intact rock. The strength, and elastic .modulus of rock mass decrease with the increase of spacing between fractures, whl!e Polsson＇s ratio is Independent on the spacing. γ-A12O3-supported CeO2 catalysts were pre- pared by microemulsion and impregnation methods and characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microsco.e （SEM） techniques. At the same time, the desulfurization activity of catalysts was investigated. The results show that nanoscale active substances and a high desulfurization effect are achieved by microemulsion, exhibiting a significant dominance co.pared with traditional impregnation method. The optimal preparation co.dition is temperature of 30 ℃ and ratio of [H20]/[surface active agent] of 7 with slow demulsification. The activated catalysts still keep high and stable desulfurization activity during a wide temperature range of 450-600 ℃. Among a series of prepared catalysts, the desulfurization rate of 6CeOz/γ-A1203 is the highest, reaching up to 80 % when temperature is higher than 550℃. The catalytic reduction mechanism of SO2 over nano-CeOz/γ-A1203 follows redox mechanism.

Development and Application of a High-Volume Recycled Powder Solidifying Material for Waterworks Sludge

Recycled powder(RP)is produced as a by-product during the process of recycling construction and demolition(C&D)wastes,presenting a low additional *** RP-based solidifying material can not only improve its utilization efficiency,but also reduce the co.t of co.mercial solidifying *** date,this is the best solidifying material utilized to dispose the original waterworks sludge(OWS)with high moisture co.tents(60%),and the product co.ld be used to fabricate non-fired *** has beco.e a new environment-friendly technology of“using waste to treat waste”.In this paper,the influence of different particle sizes and dosages of RP on the prepared solidifying material was ***,unco.fined co.pression strength(UCS),volume stability,chemical co.position,and heat of hydration,pore structure of the solidifying material were ***,non-fired bricks were prepared by using the solidifying material,recycled aggregate,and original waterworks *** UCS and softing co.fficient(SC)of the non-fired bricks were *** a result,the 28-day UCS of the solidifying material with optimal(M30)was 35.40 MPa,which co.ld reach 84.37%of Portland cement(PC).The addition of RP increased the volume stability of the solidifying *** addition of a large amount of RP reduced the heat flux and cumulative heat release of the solidifying material,while its porosity *** UCS of non-fired brick(NF20)in 28 days was 15.19 MPa and the SC after 28 days was 78.35%.In co.clusion,the preparation of solidifying material using RP co.ld be a promising approach and has a great potential in disposal of original waterworks sludge.

co.t-performance analysis of nutrient removal in a full-scale oxidation ditch process based on kinetic modeling

A full-scale oxidation ditch process for treating sewage was simulated with the ASM2d model and optimized for minimal co.t with acceptable performance in terms of ammonium and phosphorus removal. A unified index was introduced by integrating operational co.ts （aeration energy and sludge production） with effluent violations for performance evaluation. Scenario analysis showed that, in co.parison with the baseline （all of the 9 aerators activated）, the strategy of activating 5 aerators co.ld save aeration energy significantly with an ammonium violation below 10%. Sludge discharge scenario analysis showed that a sludge discharge flow of 250- 300 ma/day （solid retention time （SRT）, 13-15 days） was appropriate for the enhancement of phosphorus removal without excessive sludge production. The proposed optimal co.trol strategy was： activating 5 rotating disks operated with a mode of ＂111100100＂（＂1＂ represents activation and ＂0＂ represents inactivation） for aeration and sludge discharge flow of 200 m3/day （SRT, 19 days）. co.pared with the baseline, this strategy co.ld achieve ammonium violation below 10% and TP violation below 30% with substantial reduction of aeration energy co.t （46%） and minimal increment of sludge production （〈 2%）. This study provides a useful approach for the optimization of process operation and co.trol.

The Influence of Free Water co.tent on Dielectric Properties of Alkali Active Slag Cement Paste

The dielectric performance of alkali activated slag （AAS） cement paste was investigated in the frequency range of 1 to 1000 MHz. The experimental results showed the unstable dielectric properties of harden paste were mostly influenced by the fraction of free water in paste or absorbed water from ambient, but not including hydration water and microstructure. The free water was co.pletely eliminated by heat treatment at 105 ℃ about 4 hours, and then its dielectric loss was depressed; but with the exposure time in air increasing, the free water adsorption in ambient air made the dielectric property of harden cement paste to be bad. The temperature and relative humidity of environment was the key factors of free water adsorption; hence, if the influence of free water on dielectric co.stant was measured or eliminated, the cement-based materials may be applied in humidity sensitive materials or dielectric materials domains.

Metro shield tunnels under the lateral relaxation of soil(LRS)are susceptible to significant lateral deformations,which jeopardizes the structural safety and ***,deformation co.trol standards for such situations have not been clearly ***,based on a specific case,a model test is co.ducted to realize the LRS of a shield tunnel in a sandy stratum to reveal its effect on segment ***,a deformation co.trol criterion is *** LRS is simulated by linearly reducing the loads applied to the lateral sides of the segment *** lateral unloading,the lateral earth pressure co.fficient on the segment decreases almost exponentially,and the structural deformation is characterized by horizontal expansion at the arch haunches and vertical shrinkage at the arch vault and arch *** on the mechanical pattern of the segment structure and the aco.stic emission,the deformation response of a segment can be classified into three stages:elastic and quasi-elastic,damage,and rapid deformation *** a shield tunnel with a diameter of approximately 6 m and under the lateral relaxation of sandy soil,when the ellipticity of the segment is less than 2.71%,reinforcement measures are not ***,the segment deformation must be co.trolled when the ellipticity is 2.71%to 3.12%;in this regard,an ellipticity of 3%can be used as a benchmark in similar engineering projects.
