BACKGROUND Esophageal stricture ranks among the most significant complications following endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD).Excessive fibrotic repair is a typical pathological feature leading to stenosis after *** To examine the effectiveness and underlying mechanism of Kangfuxin solution(KFX)in mitigating excessive fibrotic repair of the esophagus *** Pigs received KFX at 0.74 mL/kg/d for 21 days after esophageal full circumferential *** examinations occurred on days 7 and 21 *** vitro,recombinant transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1(5 ng/mL)induced a fibrotic microenvironment in primary esophageal fibroblasts(pEsF).After 24 hours of KFX treatment(at 1.5%,1%,and 0.5%),expression ofα-smooth muscle actin-2(ACTA2),fibronectin(FN),and type collagen I was *** signaling was analyzed,including TGF-β1,Smad2/3,and phosphor-smad2/3(p-Smad2/3).RESULTS Compared to the Control group,the groups treated with KFX and prednisolone exhibited reduced esophageal stenosis,lower weight loss rates,and improved food tolerance 21 d after *** treatment,Masson staining revealed thinner and less dense collagen fibers in the submucosal ***,the expression of fibrotic effector molecules was notably ***,KFX downregulated the transduction levels of fibrotic functional molecules such as TGF-β1,Smad2/3,and p-Smad2/*** vitro,pEsF exposed to TGF-β1-induced fibrotic microenvironment displayed increased fibrotic activity,which was reversed by KFX treatment,leading to reduced activation of ACTA2,FN,and collagen *** 1.5%KFX treatment group showed decreased expression of p-Smad 2/3 in TGF-β1-activated *** KFX showed promise as a therapeutic option for post-full circumferential esophageal ESD strictures,potentially by suppressing fibroblast fibrotic activity through modulation of the TGF-β1/Smads signaling pathway.

The KEu(WO_(4))_(2)Red Phosphor Co-doped with Li^(+)and SO_(4)^(2-)for Synergistic Enhancement of High Efficiency and Thermal Stability

A series of tungstate red phosphors K_(1-x)Li_(x)Eu(WO_(4))_(2-y)(SO_(4))_(y)were successfully prepared by sol-gel method,and the effects of the introduction of Li^(+)and SO_(4)^(2-)on the fluorescence intensity and thermal quenching properties of the prepared K_(1-x)Li_(x)Eu(WO_(4))_(2-y)(SO_(4))_(y)phosphors were *** X-ray diffraction data show that the prepared(Li^(+)and SO_(4)^(2-))-doped KEu(WO_(4))_(2)phosphors have a monoclinic tetragonal *** addition,the emission intensities of all the observed emission peaks change significantly with the increase of Li~+doping concentration,especially the intensity of the emission peaks at 615 nm fluctuated significantly and reached the maximum at x=0.3 and y=*** K_(1-x)Li_(x)Eu(WO_(4))_(2-y)(SO_(4))_(y)phosphors are found to have the highest fluorescence intensity at x=0.3 and y=***,the K_(0.7)Li_(0.3)Eu(WO_(4))_(1.8)(SO_(4))_(0.2)phosphor has better thermal quenching properties and luminescence efficiency,and the experimental results indicates that the fluorescence intensity and thermal burst performance of KEu(WO_(4))_(2)red phosphor could be effectively improved by using low-cost bionic doping of Li^(+)and SO_(4)^(2-).

The currently recommended management for acute traumatic spinal cord injury aims to reduce the incidence of secondary injury and promote functional *** intraspinal pressure(ISP)likely plays an important role in the processes involved in secondary spinal cord injury,and should not be ***,the factors and detailed time course contributing to elevated ISP and its impact on pathophysiology after traumatic spinal cord injury have not been reviewed in the ***,we review the etiology and progression of elevated ISP,as well as potential therapeutic measures that target elevated *** ISP is a time-dependent process that is mainly caused by hemorrhage,edema,and blood-spinal cord barrier destruction and peaks at 3 days after traumatic spinal cord *** and hypertonic saline may be promising treatments for reducing ISP within this time *** potential treatments such as decompression,spinal cord incision,hemostasis,and methylprednisolone treatment require further validation.
