Development of a new high-shear and low-pressure grinding wheel and its grinding characteristics for Inconel718 alloy

Nickel-based alloy has been widely used due to its outstanding mechanical ***, Nickel-based alloy is a typical difficult-to-machine material, which is a great constrain for its application in the manufacturing field. To improve the surface quality of the ground workpiece, a new high-shear and low-pressure grinding wheel, with high ratio of tangential grinding force to normal grinding force, was fabricated for the grinding of selective laser melting(SLM) manufactured Inconel718 alloy. The principle of high-shear and low-pressure grinding process was introduced in detail, which was quite different from the conventional grinding process. The fabrication process of the new grinding wheel was illustrated. A serial of experiments with different processing parameters were carried out to investigate the grinding performance of the developed grinding wheel via analyzing surface roughness and surface morphology of the ground *** optimal processing parameters of high-shear and low-pressure grinding were obtained. The surface roughness of ground workpiece was reduced to 0.232 μm from the initial value of 0.490 μm under the optimal grinding conditions. It was found that the initial scratches on the ground workpiece were almost completely removed after the observations with the metalloscopy and the fieldemission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM). The capability of the newly developed highshear and low-pressure grinding wheel was validated.

Research on the Application of Evidence-Based Quality Control Circle to Improve the Implementation Rate of Airway Management Measures in Adult Critically Ill Patients

Objective: To explore the effect of evidence-based quality control circle (QCC) in improving the implementation rate of airway management measures in adult critically ill patients. Methods: Based on the Joanna Briggs institute (JBI) evidence-based health care model, the best evidence of airway management in adult critically ill patients was obtained and applied to the clinic. Results: The total implementation rate of airway management measures in adult critically ill patients increased from 23.62% before the implementation of quality control circle to 88.82%, and the pulmonary infection rate in critically ill patients decreased from 42.31% to 21.74%, with statistical significance between the two groups (P 0.05). Conclusion: Evidence-based quality control circle activities can standardize the practice standards of airway management in critically ill patients, reduce the occurrence of patients’ airway related complications, and improve clinical outcomes.

A nano-sheet graphene-based enhanced thermal radiation composite for passive heat dissipation from vehicle batteries

In response to thermal runaway(TR) of electric vehicles, recent attention has been focused on mitigation strategies such as efficient heat dredging in battery thermal management. Thermal management with particular focus on battery cooling has been becoming increasingly significant. TR usually happened when an electric vehicle is unpowered and charged. In this state, traditional active battery cooling schemes are disabled, which can easily lead to dangerous incidents due to loss of cooling ability, and advanced passive cooling strategies are therefore gaining importance. Herein, we developed an enhanced thermal radiation material, consisting of ～1 μm thick multilayered nano-sheet graphene film coated upon the heat dissipation surface, thereby enhancing thermal radiation in the nanoscale. The surface was characterized on the nanoscale, and tested in a battery-cooling *** found that the graphene-based coating's spectral emissivity is between 91 % and 95 % in the mid-infrared region, and thermal experiments consequently illustrated that graphene-based radiative cooling yielded up to15.1 % temperature reduction when compared to the uncoated analogue. Using the novel graphene surface to augment a heat pipe, the temperature reduction can be further enlarged to 25.6 %. The new material may contribute to transportation safety, global warming mitigation and carbon neutralization.

Dependence of viscosity of Cu_9In_4 intermetallics melt on thermal history

The temperature dependence of the dynamic viscosity of Cu9In4 intermetallics melt has been investigated in five kinds of different heating and cooling processes with a torsional oscillation viscometer, It has been found that the viscosity of all Cu9In4 intermetallics decreases with increasing temperature in five kinds of different thermal processes. Thermal history has considerable effect on the viscosity. The viscosity in the cooling process with high superheating is greater than that in the cooling process with low superheating. The viscosity in the heating process is greater than that in the cooling process. No anomalous change in viscosity is measured in three kinds of cooling processes with low superheating. The anomalous change occurs at about 1050℃ in cooling with high superheating and at 800℃ in heating. Furthermore, the structural variation in different thermal processes has also been discussed on the basis of the change in viscosity and DSC analysis.

Evolution of microstructure and intervariant boundaries ofαphase in electron beam melted and heat-treated Ti-6Al-4V alloy

It is important to understand the correlation between grain morphology and intervariant boundaries of theαphase after heat treatment belowβtransus of the electron beam melted(EBMed)Ti-6 Al-4 V *** electron microscopy(SEM)and electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)analysis have shown about 99%αphase and 1%βphase in the heat-treated samples when the temperature rises to 950℃.Four distinct types ofαgrain morphology have been found:allotromorphousα,relatively coarseαplate,large precipitationαand granularα.A single peak of the intervariant boundary with the misorientation of 60°/[1120]associated with Burgers orientation relationship(OR)was found in the allotromorphousα*** intervariant boundaries mixed with a fraction of general high-angle grain boundary(GHABs,not Burgers OR)were present in the relatively coarseαplate *** only low-angle grain boundaries(LABs)with the misorientation of<5°were found in the large precipitationαgrains.βphase tends to distribute around the boundaries of relatively coarseα*** suggests that different formation mechanisms are involved in the distinct types ofαgrain morphology.

Using Sklyanin's formalism, the authors study two integrable nineteen-vertex models with open boundary conditions(BC). By solving reflection equation(RE), three different diagonal boundary K matrices for each model are obtained and the corresponding explicit forms of the Hamiltonians with three different kinds of nontrival boundary terms are given.

In the past, remote and poor mountainous areas had no classrooms at all, letting alone teachers. Now, almost every village or mountain area has its own classroom. The students’ sound of reading and the teachers’ tireless teaching are enough to show the progress and development of China’s educational cause. Our schools are divided into private schools and public schools. For public schools, the state policy is much higher than that of private schools. Every public school enjoys the financial allocation of the state, which is used for various expenses of the school. However, due to the poor management of the school, it will be unclear of the use of the funds, which puts forward more and more requirements for higher vocational colleges. This paper studies and analyzes the path optimization of implementing budget performance management in higher vocational colleges, puts forward corresponding solutions and expounds its important significance.

Based on the hydrodynamics, the airflow exciting-vibration force of control stage of steam turbine is studied by using the momentum theorem. A formulation for calculating the air exciting-vibration force of the control stage of steam turbine is deduced first by using theoretical analysis method and taking all the design factors of vane and nozzles into consideration. Moreover, the exciting-vibration forces in different load cases are discussed respectively.

Blockage of the Deep-Sea Mining Pump Transporting Large Particles with Different Sphericity

The present study aims to plumb blockage of the deep-sea mining pump transporting large particles with different shapes. A numerical work was performed through combining the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) technique and the discrete element method(DEM). Six particle shapes with sphericity ranging from 0.67 to 1.0 were selected. A velocity triangle is built with the absolute, relative, and circumferential velocities of particles. Velocity triangles with absolute velocity angles ranging from 90° to 180° prevail in the first-stage impeller. With declining sphericity, more particles follow the velocity triangle with absolute velocity angles ranging from 0° to 90°, which weakens the ability of particles to pass through the flow passage. Furthermore, the forces acting on the particles traveling in the impeller passage are analyzed. Large particles, especially non-spherical ones, suffer from high centrifugal force and therefore move along the suction surface of the impeller blades. Non-spherical particles undergo great drag force as a result of large surface area. The distribution of drag force angles is featured by two peaks, and one vanishes due to *** particle sphericity declines, both magnitude and angle of the pressure gradient force decrease. Variation of the drag force and the pressure gradient force causes clockwise deflection of the centripetal force, resulting in deflection and elongation of particle trajectory, which increases the possibility of blockage.

In this study,an enzyme 1linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was established to detect beef and 1amb components,and its performance was ***-antibody sandwich ELISA was adopted and determined a coating concentration of capture antibody 3G5 of 1:4000,a working concentration of enzyme-labeled antibody 2E7-horseradish peroxidase(HRP)of 1:1000,a sample incubation time of 60 min and a detection antibody reaction time of 60 *** specificity,sensitivity,repeatability and stability of this assay were *** limit of detection for beef and 1amb skeleta1 muscle troponin I was 45 mg/kg,the inter-assay and intra-assay recovery rates ranged from 80.4%to 115.7%,the coefficients of variation were below 13.6%,and the cIoss reaction rates of the tissue components of chicken,duck and fish were below 13.4%.The sandwich ELISA method established in this study is stable and has high *** test results were consistent with the polymerase chain reaction(PCR)method at 50 and 100 g/kg-Therefore,this ELISA method can be used to quantitatively detect beef and 1amb components in meat products.
