Amino acid metabolic remodeling is a hallmark of cancer,driving an increased nutritional demand for amino *** acids are pivotal for energetic regulation,biosynthetic support,and homeostatic maintenance to stimulate cancer ***,the role of phenylalanine in multiple myeloma(MM)remains ***,we demonstrate that phenylalanine levels in MM patients are decreased in plasma but elevated in bone marrow(BM)*** the treatment,phenylalanine levels increase in plasma and decrease in *** suggests that changes in phenylalanine have diagnostic value and that phenylalanine in the BM microenvironment is an essential source of nutrients for MM *** requirement for phenylalanine by MM cells exhibits a similar *** phenylalanine utilization suppresses MM cell growth and provides a synergistic effect with Bortezomib(BTZ)treatment in vitro and murine ***,phenylalanine deprivation induces excessive endoplasmic reticulum stress and leads to MM cell apoptosis through the ATF3eCHOPeDR5 *** with ATF3 significantly affects phenylalanine deprivation *** conclusion,we have identified phenylalanine metabolism as a characteristic feature of MM metabolic *** is necessary for MM proliferation,and its aberrant demand highlights the importance of lowphenylalanine diets as an adjuvant treatment for MM.

Background:The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of marking meth-ods on the outcomes of body composition analysis and provide guidance for the se-lection of marking methods in mouse body composition ***:Male C57BL/6J mice aged 6 weeks were randomly assigned for pre-and post-ear tagging *** body composition of the mice was measured using a small animal body composition analyzer,which provided measurements of the mass of fat,lean,and free ***,the mass of fat,lean and free fluid to body weight ratio was *** data analysis was conducted to obtain the range and coeffi-cient of variation in body composition measurements for each *** distribution of fat and lean tissue in the mice was also analyzed by comparing the fat-to-lean ***:(1)The mass of all body composition components in the ear tagging group was significantly lower than that in the control group.(2)There was a significant in-crease in the range and coefficient of variation of body composition measurements between the ear tagging group and the control group.(3)The fat-to-lean ratio in the ear tagging group was significantly lower than that in the control ***:Ear tagging significantly lowered the results of body composition analy-sis in mice and higher the results of measurement ***,ear tagging should be avoided as much as possible when conducting body composition analysis experi-ments in mice.

There is a strong correlation between bisphenol A(BPA)and the risks of endocrine disruption in ***,the mechanism behind this correlation is still unknown due to the challenge of accurately assessing BPA levels in biological ***,we demonstrate a molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP)modified impedimetric sensor treated with bovine serum albumin(BSA)not only reduces the impact of protein interference but also maintains both specificity and sensitivity for the precise analysis of *** platinum disc electrode was coated with MIP via electrochemical polymerization of o-phenylenediamine(o-PD)in the presence of BPA as a template,and free sites were then blocked with 1%*** impedance spectroscopy(EIS)was utilized for the detection of *** linear range for detection was between 1.0 pg/L and 10.0 ng/L,with a detection limit(LOD)of 0.28 pg/*** sensor presented a good selectivity over structurally similar steroid hormones and BPA *** validate the performance of the proposed sensor in the presence of possible interfering proteins,it was used to quantify BPA in real samples without any prior *** findings indicate that such an impedimetric sensor can be used to measure BPA in complex matrices.

Advanced glycation end-products(AGEs)are a group of heterogeneous compounds formed in heatprocessed foods and are proven to be detrimental to human ***,there is no comprehensive database for AGEs in foods that covers the entire range of food categories,which limits the accurate risk assessment of dietary AGEs in human *** this study,we first established an isotope dilution UHPLCQq Q-MS/MS-based method for simultaneous quantification of 10 major AGEs in *** contents of these AGEs were detected in 334 foods covering all main groups consumed in Western and Chinese populations.Nε-Carboxymethyllysine,methylglyoxal-derived hydroimidazolone isomers,and glyoxal-derived hydroimidazolone-1 are predominant AGEs found in most *** amounts of AGEs were high in processed nuts,bakery products,and certain types of cereals and meats(>150 mg/kg),while low in dairy products,vegetables,fruits,and beverages(<40 mg/kg).Assessment of estimated daily intake implied that the contribution of food groups to daily AGE intake varied a lot under different eating patterns,and selection of high-AGE foods leads to up to a 2.7-fold higher intake of AGEs through daily *** presented AGE database allows accurate assessment of dietary exposure to these glycotoxins to explore their physiological impacts on human health.

The reasonable reactor design is of great importance for increasing the C_(2) yield(C2H4 and C2H6)of the oxidative coupling of methane(OCM),and the OCM reactor should remove the heat released in reactions quickly and efficiently and minimize the consecutive reaction of ethylene to carbon *** fluidized bed reactor is characterized by excellent heat transfer,superior mass transport,and large handling capacity,while fewer studies focused on large-scale fluidized bed reactors for the OCM ***,large cold-model experiments and computational fluid dynamics simulations were conducted to investigate hydrodynamics and the OCM reaction performance in a large-scale bubbling fluidized bed(BFB)and a large-scale *** the BFB reactor,consecutive reactions of ethylene are acute because of the strong gas back-mixing,high solids holdup,and non-uniform solids *** the consecutive reactions of ethylene are negligible due to the plug flow structure and low solids holdup in the riser ***,both reactors can achieve isothermal operation for the OCM *** C_(2) selectivity of 45.4% and C_(2) yield of 21.1% are obtained in the riser reactor,increasing by 20.3% and 5.8% individually than that in the BFB *** study provides useful information and reference to the OCM reactor designandcommercialization.

Mn-based layered oxides are among the most promising cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries owing to the advantages of abundance,environmenta friendliness,low cost and high specific capacity.P2 and O'3 are two representative structures of Mn-based layered ***,the P2 structure containing insufficien Na generally exhibits low initial charge capacity,while O'3structure with sufficient Na delivers high initial charge capacity but poor cycle *** study prepared a multitude of Na_(x)MnO_(2)(x=0.7,0.8,0.9)cathode materials with varying P2/O'3 ratios and further investigated their electrochemical *** optimized Na_(0.8)MnO_(2) comprising 69.9 wt%O'3 and 30.1 wt%P2 phase,exhibited relatively balanced specific capacity,Coulombic efficiency and cycle ***,it achieved a high specific capacity of 128.9 mAh·g^(-1) with an initia Coulombic efficiency of 98.2%in half-cell configuration The Na_(0.8)MnO_(2)//hard carbon full cell also achieved a high specific capacity of 126.7 mAh·g^(-1) with an initia Coulombic efficiency of 98.9%.Moreover,the capacity fading mechanism was revealed by combining in-situ and ex-situ X-ray *** findings of this study provide theoretical guidance for further modification design of Mnbased layered cathodes.

Human normal flora is a source of *** safety characteristics of a specific isolate determine its application in foods or *** food-borne-pathogen antagonist strain Lactobacillus gasseri HMV18 is one of the isolates from normal human *** this work,we assessed the in vitro pH tolerance,bile tolerance,biogenic amine production,mucin utilization,and safety of in vivo administration to mice to evaluate general health,organ-body weight index,organ histopathological change,whether *** HMV18 can colonize in the gut or modulate the gut microbiota after oral *** results suggest that *** HMV18 can tolerate pH 3 for 2 h,3%bile for 3 h,biogenic amine negative,mucin usage negative,does not encode verified toxins,and cause no visible change in mice's *** HMV18 might not colonize in mice's gut,but can significantly affect the structure of gut microbiota.A bibliographical survey suggested that there were as few as 8 opportunistic infection cases from 1984 to 2022 and that the possibility for *** to cause infection is relatively ***,this work provides a basis for the foods or drugs application of *** HMV18 and gives a map of experiments for the safety assessment of probiotics.

Due to the lack of effective assessment method,overheated milk commodities are often marketed as pasteurized milk on the market,which was sold in high price by ***,this article aims to establish an approach based on metabolomics to monitor thermal processing temperature of bovine *** data of bovine milk samples heated at temperatures ranging from 60℃to 150℃were achieved by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry(UPLC-HRMS)platform,followed by multivariate data analysis.A regular variation pattern of chemical composition as temperature rises was pictured,furthermore.N^(∈)carboxymethyl lysine(CML),N^(∈)-carboxyethyl lysine(CEL),*** and lysinoalanine(LAL)were identified as 5 of the most contributed compounds to discriminate pasteurized and ultra-high-temperature(UHT)*** the comprehensive study on their content changes,we concluded that the optimal temperature range was 90-100℃for the generation of CML and CEL in this experiment,moreover.110~120℃for LAL.S0~100℃for pentosidine and 130-140℃for ***,a predicted rule to discriminate pasteurized and UHT milk was preliminarily established based on the ratios of CML/***/pentosidine and CML/*** could be applied in food labelling authentication of commercial bovine milk after further validation.
