A multiple flame-retardant,early fire-warning,and highly sensitive thread-shaped all-fabric-based piezoresistive sensor

In the artificial intelligence age,multifunctional and intelligent fireproof fabric-based electronics are urgently ***,a novel thread-shaped all-fabric-based piezoresistive sensor(denoted as TAFPS)with properties such as flame retardancy,firewarning,and piezoresistivity is proposed,which is composed of an inner nickel-plated fabric electrode,a multifunctional double helix fabric,and an external flame-retardant encapsulation *** to the multiple flame-retardant properties of glass fiber tubular fabric,aminated carbon nanotubes(ACNTs),and ammonium polyphosphate,the char residue of the TAFPS reaches40.3 wt%at 800℃.In addition,the heat-sensitive effect of ACNTs during combustion causes a rapid decrease in the TAFPS resistance,triggering the fire alarm system within 2 ***,benefiting from the force-sensitive behavior of the double helix layer and tightly wrapped pattern of the external heat-shrinkable tubular fabric,TAFPS demonstrated a high sensitivity of4.40 kPa^(-1)(0–5.81 k Pa)and good stability for 10000 *** its excellent flame resistance,high sensitivity,and agreeable stability,the developed TAFPS can be integrated into fire suits to monitor the exercise training process and the external fire *** work offers a novel approach for fabricating all-fabric-based piezoresistive sensors in the future for fire prevention and fire alarms,with promising applications in fire protection,the Internet of Things,and smart apparel.

Stress analysis for an infinite strip weakened by periodic cracks is studied. The cracks were assumed in a horizontal position, and the strip was applied by tension “ p ' in y_ direction. The boundary value problem can be reduced into a complex mixed one. It is found that the EEVM ( eigenfunction expansion variational method) is efficient to solve the problem. The stress intensity factor at the crack tip and the T _stress were evaluated. From the deformation response under tension the cracked strip can be equivalent to an orthotropic strip without cracks. The elastic properties in the equivalent orthotropic strip were also investigated. Finally, numerical examples and results were given.

High-quality graphene flakes have long been desirable for numerous applications including energy stor- age, printable electronics, and catalysis. In this contribution, we report a green, efficient, facile gas-driven exfoliation process for the preparation of high-quality graphene in large scale. The gas exfoliation process was realized by the interplay between the expansion of interlayer at high temperature and the gasifi- cation of liquid nitrogen within the interlayer. Detailed experiments demonstrated that the higher tem- perature was critical to the formation of fewer layers. The exfoliated graphene was proved to be of high quality. We further investigated the electrochemical behavior of this exfoliated graphene. As a result, this few-layered graphene demonstrated an enhanced capability as a supercapacitor, much higher than its counterpart parent material.

To investigate the influence of structural parameters on the performances and internal flow characteristics of partial flow pumps at a low specific speed of 10000 rpm,special attention was paid to the first and second stage impeller guide ***,the impeller blade outlet width,impeller inlet diameter,blade inclination angle,and number of blades were considered for orthogonal ***,nine groups of design solutions were formed,and then used as a basis for the execution of numerical simulations(CFD)aimed at obtaining the efficiency values and heads for each design solution *** influence of impeller geometric parameters on the efficiency and head was explored,and the“weight”of each factor was obtained via a range *** structural parameters were finally chosen on the basis of the numerical simulation results,and the performances of the optimized model were verified accordingly(yet by means of CFD).Evidence is provided that the increase in the efficiency and head of the optimized model was 12.11%and 23.5 m,respectively,compared with those of the original model.

Background Acute myocardial infarction （AMI） is the most serious type of coronary heart disease. However, less than 30% of these patients have been treated effectively in China. Delayed treatment is a leading cause. This study aimed to evaluate a new regional cooperative model for improving the first medical contact-to-device time and the therapeutic effects on AMI patients. Methods A retrospective analysis of 458 ST-elevation myocardial infarction （STEMI） patients was performed. Patients were divided into two groups in terms of before or after the model were implemented. First medical contact-to-device time （FMC2D）, Door to device time （D2D）, referral time, cardiac functions, mean cost, days of hospitalization, and major adverse cardiac events （MACE） were analyzed. Results The mean FMC2D time, D2D time and referral time of the model group were significantly lower than the control group. The left ventricular ejection fraction of the model group increased but the left ventricular end-diastolic dimension decreased compared with the control group at 6 months after discharge. These re- sults also showed that mean costs and days of hospitalization were reduced. The MACE rate was reduced in the model group. Conclusions These results suggested that the new model decreased the FMC2D time, which could improve the cardiac function and therapeutic effect of STEMI patients as well as decreased the financial burden.

There are many factors,that affect the development of indoor fire,such as the size of the fire source,the opening or space of the room,and the nature of the combustible *** them,the space of the room,has a significant impact on the development of a ventilation-limited *** this paper,the fire Dynamics Simulator(FDS)software is used to analyze,the risk of fire initiation in the restricted ventilated compartment,when the size of vertical ventilation space is ***,a combination of experimental design,numerical simulation,and theoretical analysis,the changes in the level of carbon monoxide,visibility,temperature,Heat Release Rate(HRR)and,the smoke exhaust efficiency of natural smoke at different opening sizes are *** is observed that,when the ratio of inlet and outlet area reaches 2:1,the natural smoke exhaust effect is the best,however,the increasing in the opening size has little significance on the smoke exhaust *** research on the influence of smoke outlet size,will helps in the development of the law regarding fire prevention,smoke exhaust design,and fire rescue work of a building.

The research tackles earthquakes as one of the most dangerous natural disasters. It defines disasters in general, which in turn include earthquakes, how to manage them, stages of their evolution, and their classification among other kinds of disasters such as hurricanes, floods, drought, desertification, etc. Afterwards, it tackles the impacts of disasters on man, buildings and infrastructure. It defines also the codes and laws existing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to confront and treat the impacts of earthquakes in their different stages (before, during and after) and the authorities involved in managing them. Then, it moves to study the case of Al-Ais Earthquake, and identifies the points of deficiency in dealing with such a disaster. Moreover, the research tackles some global experiences in how to handle the situation, reaching to the presentation of a conceptual approach to confront disasters of earthquakes in their various stages.

An oblique edge crack problem in a semi-infinite plane is discussed. Re concentrated forces are applied on the edge crack face, or on the line boundary of the cracked semi-infinite plane. The rational mapping function approach is suggested to solve the boundary value problem and a solution in a closed form is obtained. Finally, several numerical examples with the calculated results are given.

Background and Objective: Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is a potent procedure for the treatment of hematologic diseases, yet it is associated with high risks of treatment-related complications. Except for transplant-related organ toxicities, renal insufficiencies which emerge earlier significantly limit patients' long survival. To analyze risk factors for acute kidney injury (AKI), we conducted a retrospective cohort study of 96 patients undergoing HSCT. Methods: During the first 100 days after allo-HSCT, all patients were evaluated for renal function by measuring serum creatinine clearance and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) with a classification below: Grade 0 (< 25%, decline in creatinine clearance), Grade 1 ( ≥25% decline in creatinine clearance but < 2-fold increase in serum creatinine), Grade 2 ( ≥2-fold rise in serum creatinine but no need for dialysis), and Grade 3 ( ≥2-fold rise in serum creatinine and need for dialysis). Cox regression model was used to calculate the hazard ratios (HRs) of demographic data, clinical variables, and risk factors for AKI. Results: Twenty-eight (29.2%) patients occurred Grades 1-3 renal dysfunction (Grade 1, 14 patients; Grade 2, 12 patients; Grade 3, 2 patients), and ratios of early kidney injury increased in high-risk malignancy group (HR = 2.945, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.293-6.421), patients treated with myeloablative conditioning regimen ( HR = 2.463, 95% CI = 1.757-4.320), and patients with acute GVHD (HR = 3.553, 95% CI = 1.809-6.978), sepsis (HR = 3.215, 95% CI = 1.189-6.333 ), or hepatic veno-occlusive disease (VOD) (HR = 3.487, 95% CI = 1.392-6.524). Whereas, HLA histocompatibility showed no striking increased risk for acute renal injury (HR = 1.684, 95% CI = 0.648-4.378). The survival rate was lower in patients with severe nephrotoxicity (21.4%) than in patients without nephrotoxicity (70.6%) (P = 0.001).
