Auxin regulates flower and fruit abscission,but how developmental signals mediate auxin transport in abscission remains ***,we reveal the role of the transcription factor BEL1-LIKE HOMEODOMAIN11(SlBEL11)in regulating auxin transport during abscission in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum).SlBEL11 is highly expressed in the fruit abscission zone,and its expression increases during fruit *** of SlBEL11 expression by RNA interference(RNAi)caused premature fruit drop at the breaker(Br)and 3d post-breaker(Br+3)stages of fruit *** and metabolome analysis of SlBEL11-RNAi lines revealed impaired flavonoid biosynthesis and decreased levels of most flavonoids,especially quercetin,which functions as an auxin transport *** suggested that SlBEL11 prevents premature fruit abscission by modulating auxin efflux from fruits,which is crucial for the formation of an auxin response ***,quercetin treatment suppressed premature fruit drop in SlBEL11-RNAi *** affinity purification sequencing(DAP-seq)analysis indicated that SlBEL11 induced expression of the transcription factor gene SlMYB111 by directly binding to its *** immunoprecipitation-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and electrophoretic mobility shift assay showed that *** MYELOBLASTOSIS VIRAL ONCOGENE HOMOLOG111(SlMYB111)induces the expression of the core flavonoid biosynthesis genes SlCHS1,SlCHI,SlF3H,and SlFLS by directly binding to their *** findings suggest that the SlBEL11-SlMYB111 module modulates flavonoid biosynthesis to fine-tune auxin efflux from fruits and thus maintain an auxin response gradient in the pedicel,thereby preventing premature fruit drop.

The corrosion behavior of high-strength low-alloy 921A steel in a simulated marine atmospheric environment was studied using a high-throughput experimental *** corrosion behavior,corrosion morphology,and corrosion products of 921A steels were analyzed using various techniques,including corrosion mass loss method,polarization curve,white-light interferometry,scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive spectrometry,microbeam X-ray fluorescence spectrometry,X-ray diffraction technique,and X-ray photoelectron *** test results indicated that 921A steel exhibits better corrosion resistance than Q450NQR1 steel in simulated harsh atmospheric environments,as evidenced by a lower corrosion mass loss rate throughout the corrosion *** corrosion products of both steels consisted ofα-FeOOH,Fe_(3)O_(4),andγ-FeOOH,withα-FeOOH being more prevalent in the rust layer of 921A steel than in Q450NQR1 *** inner rust layer of 921A steel also exhibited an appositional enrichment region of Cr,Ni,Mo,and V,leading to its superior corrosion resistance compared to that of Q450NQR1 *** efficacy of high-throughput accelerated corrosion experimental methods was highlighted for evaluating the corrosion resistance of steel materials in harsh environmental *** findings suggest that 921A steel exhibits better corrosion resistance compared to Q450NQR1 steel and has the potential to be more suitable in harsh marine atmospheric *** characterization of the rust layer structures and composition reveals the parallel enrichment of certain elements in the inner rust layer of 921A steel,which enhances its corrosion resistance.

Ecosystem services(ESs)refer to the continuous provisioning of ecosystem goods and services that benefit human *** recent decades,rapid urbanization has exerted significant pressure on coastal ecosystems,resulting in biodiversity and habitat loss,environmental pollution,and the depletion of natural *** response to these environmental challenges,the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)were *** the pressing need to address these issues,understanding the changes in ESs under the SDGs is crucial for formulating specific ecological *** this study,we first analyzed land use and cover change in the zhejiang coasts of China during 2000–***,we investigated the spatiotemporal configuration of ESs by integrating carbon storage(CS),soil retention(SR),habitat quality(HQ)and water yield(WY)using the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem services and Tradeoffs(InVEST)*** driving mechanisms of ESs,which varied by space and time,were also explored using the Geo-detector *** results revealed that,over the past two decades:1)the zhejiang coasts have experienced a significant increase of 2783.72 km^(2) in built-up land areas and a continuous decrease in farmland areas due to rapid urbanization;2)owing to higher precipitation,extensive vegetation cover,and reduced anthropogenic disturbances,forests emerge as a crucial land use type for maintaining ecosystem services such as HQ,CS,WY,and SR;3)ESs have generally declined across the entire zhejiang coasts,with a significant decrease observed in the northern areas and an increase in the southern areas spatially;4)the expansion of built-up land areas emerged as the primary factor affecting ecosystem services,while the vegetation factor has been increasingly significant and is expected to become predominant in the near *** study provides insights of understanding of ecosystem service theory and emphasizing the importance of preserving biodiversity for long-term sustainable development

Owing to the distinctive structural characteristics,vanadium nitride(VN)is highly regarded as a catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in zinc-air batteries(ZABs).However,VN exhibits limited intrinsic ORR activity due to the weak adsorption ability to O-containing ***,the S-doped VN anchored on N,S-doped multi-dimensional carbon(S-VN/Co/NS-MC)was constructed using the solvothermal and in-situ doping *** sulfur atoms into VN species alters the electron spin state of vanadium in the S-VN/Co/NS-MC for regulating the adsorption energy of vanadium sites to oxygen *** introduced sulfur atoms polarize the V 3d_(z)^(2) electrons,shifting spin-down electrons closer to the Fermi level in the S-VN/Co/***,the introduction of sulfur atoms into VN species enhances the adsorption energy of vanadium sites for oxygen ****OOH dissociation transitions from being unspontaneous on the VN surface to a spontaneous state on the S-doped VN ***,the ORR barrier on the S-VN/Co/NS-MC surface is *** S-VN/Co/NS-MC demonstrates a higher half-wave potential and limiting current density compared to the VN/Co/*** S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based liquid ZABs display a power density of 195.7 m W cm^(-2),a specific capacity of 815.7 m A h g^(-1),and a cycling stability exceeding 250 *** S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based flexible ZABs are successfully employed to charge both a smart watch and a mobile *** approach holds promise for advancing the commercial utilization of VN-based catalysts in ZABs.

The multi-body flexible morphing airfoil can improve the aerodynamic characteristics based on different flight missions *** researches have focused on the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of flexible wings under passive ***,the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics with the fluid-structure interaction effects in the multi-body active actuation process of morphing airfoil deserve further *** this paper,a fluid-structure coupled simulation method for multi-body flexible morphing airfoil with active actuation subsystem was investigated,and the aerodynamic characteristics during deformation were compared with different skin flexibility,flow field environment,actuation mode and actuation *** numerical results show that for the steady aerodynamic,the skin flexibility can improve the stability *** the unsteady process,the change trend of the transient lift coefficient and pitching moment are consistent with those of the active drive characteristics,while the instantaneous lift-drag ratio coefficient is greatly affected by the driving mode and can be improved by increasing the driving duration.

Due to the diversity of work requirements and environment,the number of degrees of freedom(DOFs)and the complexity of structure of industrial robots are constantly *** is difficult to establish the accurate dynamical model of industrial robots,which greatly hinders the realization of a stable,fast and accurate trajectory tracking ***,the general expression of the constraint relation in the explicit dynamic equation of the multi-DOF industrial robot is derived on the basis of solving the Jacobian matrix and Hessian matrix by using the kinematic influence coefficients ***,an explicit dynamic equation with general constraint relation expression is established based on the Udwadia-Kalaba *** problem of increasing the time of establishing constraint relationship when the multi-DOF industrial robots complete complex task constraints is *** the SCARA robot as the research object,the simulation results show that the proposed method can provide a new idea for industrial robot system modeling with complex constraints.

The X-band phased array radar offers faster scanning speed and higher spatial resolution compared to the S-band radar,making it capable of enhancing tornado monitoring and early warning *** study analyzed the characteristics and nowcasting signals of a tornado case that occurred on June 16,2022 in the Guangzhou *** findings indicate that the violent contraction of rotation radius and the dramatic increase in rotation speed were important signal characteristics associated with tornado *** X-band phased array radar,with its high temporal and spatial resolution,provided an opportunity to capture early warning signals from polarimetric *** X-band phased array radar demonstrated noteworthy ability to identify apparent tornado vortex signature(TVS)features in a 10-minute lead time,surpassing the capabilities of the CINRAD/SA ***,due to its higher scanning frequency,the Xband phased-array radar was capable of consistently identifying TVS with shorter intervals,enabling a more precise tracking of the tornado's *** application of professional radars,in this case,provides valuable insights for the monitoring of evolutions of severe local storms and even tornadoes and the issuance of early warning signals.
