Exploring the Evolution of Passenger Flow and Travel Time Reliability with the Expanding Process of Metro System Using smartcard Data

Metro system has experienced the global rapid rise over the past decades. However,few studies have paid attention to the evolution in system usage with the network expanding. The paper's main objectives are to analyze passenger flow characteristics and evaluate travel time reliability for the Nanjing Metro network by visualizing the smart card data of April 2014,April 2015 and April 2016. We performed visualization techniques and comparative analyses to examine the changes in system usage between before and after the system expansion. Specifically,workdays,holidays and weekends were specially segmented for *** showed that workdays had obvious morning and evening peak hours due to daily commuting,while no obvious peak hours existed in weekends and holidays and the daily traffic was evenly distributed. Besides,some metro stations had a serious directional imbalance,especially during the morning and evening peak hours of workdays. Serious unreliability occurred in morning peaks on workdays and the reliability of new lines was relatively low,meanwhile,new stations had negative effects on exiting stations in terms of reliability. Monitoring the evolution of system usage over years enables the identification of system performance and can serve as an input for improving the metro system quality.

This paper describes the development and optimization plans for the China railway Express(CR Express).As a new type of international land transport organization,CR Express has emerged with the continuous expansion of China toward European investment and trade,and in particular,has expanded with the continuous progress of the One Belt and One Road(OBOR)*** addition to improving the service quality of CR Express,the operating costs must be reduced for developing“smart railways”that serve“smart cities”.We propose a dualobjective-based function mathematical optimization model;the satisfaction of the cargo owner is considered,and the timeliness,transportation capacity,and goods category constraints of CR Express transportation are ***,we present the normalized equivalent method of the two-objective function of the ***,a case study is conducted against the background of certain trains in the western corridor of CR Express to validate the effectiveness of the model and research methods proposed in this study.

Driver identification in intelligent transport systems has immense demand,considering the safety and convenience of traveling in a *** rapid growth of driver assistance systems(DAS)and driver identification system propels the need for understanding the root causes of automobile ***,in the case of insurance,it is necessary to track the number of drivers who commonly drive a car in terms of insurance *** is observed that drivers with frequent records of paying“fines”are compelled to pay higher insurance payments than drivers without any penalty *** driver identification act as an important information source for the intelligent transport *** study focuses on a similar objective to implement a machine learning-based approach for driver *** data is collected from in-vehicle sensors using the controller area network(CAN)and then converted to binary form using a one-hot encoding ***,the transformed data is dimensionally reduced using the Principal Component Analysis(PCA)technique,and further optimal parameters from the dataset are selected using Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA).The most relevant features are selected and then fed into a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)*** proposed model is evaluated against four different use cases of driver *** results show that the best prediction accuracy is achieved in the case of drivers without *** proposed model yielded optimal accuracy when evaluated against the K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)and Support Vector Machines(SVM)models with and without using dimensionality reduction approaches.

The continuous accumulation of operational data has provided an ideal platform to devise and implement customized data analytics for smart HVAC fault detection and *** practice,the potentials of advanced supervised learning algorithms have not been fully realized due to the lack of sufficient labeled *** tackle such data challenges,this study proposes a graph neural network-based approach to effectively utilizing both labeled and unlabeled operational data for optimum *** specifically,a graph generation method is proposed to transform tabular building operational data into association graphs,based on which graph convolutions are performed to derive useful insights for fault *** experiments have been designed to evaluate the values of the methods *** datasets on HVAC air-side operations have been used to ensure the generalizability of results *** data scenarios,which vary in training data amounts and imbalance ratios,have been created to comprehensively quantify behavioral patterns of representative graph convolution networks and their *** research results indicate that graph neural networks can effectively leverage associations among labeled and unlabeled data samples to achieve an increase of 2.86%–7.30%in fault classification accuracies,providing a novel and promising solution for smart building management.

1. The smart road： Practice The concept of a super highway for intelligent connected vehicles and autonomous vehicles has been proposed in China, and pilot projects have been initiated. These projects include： modular pavement instrumented with distributed optical fiber, which has been built in Shanghai; self-healing asphalt pavements and self-snow- melting systems, which have been built in several provinces; and roads with humidity self-regulating subgrade, which have been built in Hunan Province.

Perfluoropolyether(PFPE)is a promising material for protective coatings on Li metal anodes due to its chemical inertness and minimal swelling in ***,a conventional PFPE coating with poor ionic conductivity and mechanical stability is still not satisfactory for long-term cycling of Li ***,we design and synthesize an adaptive and high-conductivity supramolecular polymer(PFPE-EG-I).This polymer is constructed from PFPE chains,ethylene glycol(EG)segments,and hydrogen-bonding moieties derived from isophoronediisocyanate,serving as a multifaceted artificial solid electrolyte interphase(SEI).The incorporated EG segments enhance the Li+conductivity of the SEI,and the hydrogen-bonding units introduce a dynamic self-adaptive behavior to the polymer matrix.A solution-processed PFPE-EG-I coating is demonstrated to promote uniform Li deposition and mitigate side reactions between Li and the ***,this leads to enhanced coulombic efficiency and prolonged cycle longevity in lithium metal batteries(LMBs).The innovative design of this multifunctional artificial SEI offers a promising avenue for the realization of dendrite-free Li anodes,paving the way for the advancement of high-performance LMBs.

Efficient use of energy is an essential aspect of green building *** order to achieve a more energy efficient society,innovation of solar photovoltaic(PV)technologies is a *** between innovators is regarded as important for innovation;however,the existing literature has made few attempts to investigate how a collaboration network can affect technology innovation in the context of the solar PV *** study aims to fill this research *** this study,innovation activities are categorized as exploratory innovation and exploitative innovation.A conceptual framework and a series of hypotheses are proposed from the perspectives of network structure(including direct ties,indirect ties,and network efficiency)and network composition(such as geographical proximity,institutional proximity,and technological proximity).The empirical results show that in the solar PV sector of China,collaboration networks with different kinds of structure and composition can imply diverse effects on exploratory innovation and exploitative *** with the derived results,it can be concluded that network collaboration is not always beneficial for PV technology *** research findings could convey useful information to both practitioners and policy-makers to adopt appropriate strategies for promoting effective innovation collaboration.
