Geological modeling of coalbed methane reservoirs in the tectonically deformed coal seam group in the Dahebian block,western Guizhou,China

"Riding mining" is a form of mining where the working face is located above the roadway and advances parallel to *** mining in deep soft rock creates a particular set of problems in the roadway that include high stresses,large deformations,and support *** we describe a study of the rock deformation mechanism of a roadway as observed during riding mining in deep soft *** analysis,numerical simulations,and on site monitoring were used to examine this *** stress in the rock and the visco-elastic behavior of the rock are *** time data,recorded over a period of 240 days,were taken from a 750 transportation *** distributions in the rock surrounding the roadway were studied by comparing simulations to observations from the *** rock stress shows dynamic behavior as the working face *** pressure increases and then drops after peaking as the face *** elastic and plastic deformation of the surrounding rock *** deformation provides a mechanism by which stress in the rock relaxes due to material flow.A way to rehabilitate the roadway is suggested that will help ensure mine safety.

Predicting torsional capacity of reinforced concrete members by data-driven machine learning models

Due to the complicated three-dimensional behaviors and testing limitations of reinforced concrete(RC)members in torsion,torsional mechanism exploration and torsional performance prediction have always been *** the present paper,several machine learning models were applied to predict the torsional capacity of RC *** results of a total of 287 torsional specimens were collected through an overall literature *** of extreme gradient boosting machine(XGBM),random forest regression,back propagation artificial neural network and support vector machine,were trained and tested by 10-fold cross-validation *** performances of proposed machine learning models were evaluated and compared,both with each other and with the calculated results of existing design codes,i.e.,GB 50010,ACI 318-19,and Eurocode *** results demonstrated that better predictive performance was achieved by machine learning models,whereas GB 50010 slightly overestimated the torsional capacity,and ACI 318-19 and Eurocode 2 underestimated it,especially in the case of ACI *** XGBM model gave the most favorable predictions with R^(2)=0.999,RMSE=1.386,MAE=0.86,andλ=***,strength of concrete was the most sensitive input parameters affecting the reliability of the predictive model,followed by transverse-to-longitudinal reinforcement ratio and total reinforcement ratio.

Coal/Gangue Volume Estimation with Convolutional Neural Network and Separation Based on Predicted Volume and Weight

Mining-induced variation in water levels in unconsolidated aquifers and mechanisms of water preservation in mines

Phreatic water resources are widely found in thick unconsolidated surface layers in western China, where water levels respond sensitively and quickly to large-scale underground mining in conjunction with shallow coal seams. Longwall face #32201 of the Bulianta Coal mine, in the Shendong coalfield was selected as an industrial trail base, where field observations on ground-water levels were conducted when the working face was below a water-rich area. The space-time variation in the behavior of un-consolidated water levels in response to underground mining and its relation with of advance were observed through the field trials. The basic conditions for water preservation in mines are presented and the mechanisms of water preservation in mining analyzed, given the geological condition of two key strata and a severely weathered layer buried in the overburden. The field trails show that water preservation in mining shallow coal seams can be successful under suitable conditions, providing new technology for envi-ronmental protection in the desert coalfields of northwestern China.
