The effects of antibacterial compounds produced by Saccharomyces cerevisiae in Koumiss on pathogenic Escherichia coli O8 and its cell surface characteristics were *** isolated from Koumiss produced antibacterial compounds which were active against pathogenic *** O8 as determined by the Oxford cup *** aqueous phases from *** at p H=2.0（S2）and pH=8.0（S8）were extracted and tested,*** organic acids of S2 and S8 were determined by high performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）,and the concentrations of killer toxins were determined by enhanced bicinchoninic acid（BCA）Protein Assay *** minimum inhibition concentration（MIC）and the minimum bactericidal concentration（MBC）of S2 and S8 on *** O8 were determined by the broth microdilution *** effects of S2 and S8 on the growth curve of *** O8 were determined by turbidimetry,and the hydrophobicities of *** O8 cell surface were determined using the microbial adhesion to solvents method,the permeation of *** O8 cell membrane were determined by the o-nitrophenyl-β-D-galactoside（ONPG）*** phases at pH 2.0 and 8.0had larger inhibition zones and then S2 and S8 were obtained by *** main component in S2 was citric acid and it was propanoic acid in *** organic acids and killer toxins were also *** the MICs of S2 and S8 on *** O8 were 0.025 g m L^-1,the MBCs were 0.100 and 0.200 g m L^-1,*** normal growth curve of *** O8was S-shaped,however,it changed after addition of S2 and *** O8 was the basic character,and had a relatively hydrophilic *** hydrophobicity of *** O8 cell surface and the permeation of *** O8 cell membrane were increased after adding S2 and *** present study showed that S2 and S8 inhibit the growth of pathogenic *** O8and influence its cell surface characteristics.

Isolation and Screening of Lactic Acid Bacterial Strains with Antibacterial Properties from the Vaginas of Healthy Cows

Occupational ability consists of three levels according to the theory of system composition: special professional skills, industry generic skills and core skills. Analytic hierarchy process is used to establish the hierarchical structure model, construct the comparison matrix, calculate the weights of the factors and test the consistency. The factors influencing the fuzzy judgment matrix can be determined by using fuzzy evaluation method. Scores of the affecting factors can be got reversely, which provides the basis for the judgment of the students’ occupational ability levels and the affecting factors. Using fuzzy level evaluation to evaluate occupational ability of higher vocational students provides a new method for occupational ability evaluation.

In the present study, eight strains were isolated from 20 cow vagina samples and identified using phenotype, biochemical analysis, sugar fermentation tests, and 16S rRNA sequence analysis. Among eight strains, only SQ0048 was identified as Lactobacillus johnsonii based on a series of biochemical testing (including the adhesion test, catalase test, bacteriocin production test, antibacterial test, and pH value), suggesting that its biological activity was superior to the other seven strains. Furthermore, SQ0048 had the lowest pH value (4.32) and the shortest fermentation time (8 h) compared with the other strains. The adhesion rate of SQ0048 was significantly higher than that of Lactobacillus delbrueckii, with an average adhesion number of 304 ± 2.67. The hydrogen peroxide production testing in SQ0048 was positive;in addition, bacteriocin gene of SQ0048, encoding an approximately 10-kDa product, was successfully cloned, expressed, and detected using the SDS-PAGE method. Meanwhile, SQ0048 had a weak inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. However, the expression products of the bacteriocin gene of SQ0048 had a very strong inhibitory effect on S. aureus and E. coli, with inhibition zone sizes of 18 ± 0.45 mm and 15 ± 0.60 mm, respectively. These data showed that SQ0048 has excellent antibacterial properties compared with other isolated strains and is a potential probiotic candidate to improve the health of the vaginas of cows by inhibiting pathogenic microorganisms.

[Objective] The aim was to explore the achievement motivation of the university student village officials in the suburbs of Beijing.[Method] The research made an investigation on 429 university student village officials in the suburbs of Beijing by the Achievements Motive Scale(AMS).[Result] The achievement motivation of these student village officials was not on a high level,but they tended to pursue the success motivation rather than the motivation to avoid failures *** was a significant difference in the achievement motivation between different genders,majors and *** males' motivation for success was higher than the females'.The motivation of avoiding failures among officials in Humanities was higher than in Science and in Fine *** the university student village officials in professional and technical posts or in business posts rated the motivation to avoid failures more important than in basic management *** achievement motivations in different urban-rural areas,educational levels,political backgrounds,whether student leaders or not,and durations were no definite ***,it had a significant effect on these student village officials' achievement motivation whether advices and suggestions were accepted;if yes,the motivation was higher.[Conclusion] This study had provided stability and development for building rural talent groups.

This article introduces the basic information about Inner Mongolia agriculture and Animal Husbandry Science and Technology Park, and the practice concerning leisure agriculture; summarizes the experience obtained. Finally, some ideas are put forth for further construction and development of leisure agriculture in science and technology park as follows: making unified layout and rational planning; integrating the local tourism resources, to establish the system of leisure agriculture; creating features of leisure agriculture in the park; establishing the brand of leisure-oriented training base in science and technology park; carrying out exploration into operation mode of leisure agriculture in the park.

Maca （Lepidium meyenii Walp, 2n = 8x = 64）, belonging to the Brassicaceae family, is an economic plant cultivated in the central Andes sierra in Peru （4000-4500 m）. Considering that the rapid uplift of the central Andes occurred 5-10 million years ago （Ma）, an evolutionary question arises regarding how plants such as maca acquire high-altitude adaptation within a short geological period. Here, we report the high-quality genome assembly of maca, in which two closely spaced maca-specific whole-genome duplications （WGDs; ~6.7 Ma） were identified. Comparative genomic analysis between maca and closely related Brassicaceae species revealed expansions of maca genes and gene families involved in abiotic stress response, hormone signaling pathway, and secondary metabolite biosynthesis via WGDs. The retention and subsequent functional divergence of many duplicated genes may account for the morphological and physiological changes （i.e., small leaf shape and self-fertility） in maca in a high-altitude environment. In addition, some duplicated maca genes were identified with functions in morphological adaptation （i.e., LEAF CURLING RESPONSIVENESS） and abiotic stress response （i.e., GL YClNE-RICH RNA-BINDING PROTEINS and DNA-DAMAGE-REPAIR/TOLERATION2） under positive selection. Collectively, the maca genome provides use- ful information to understand the important roles of WGDs in the high-altitude adaptation of plants in the Andes.

Molecular studies on donkey mitochondrial sequences have clearly defined two distinct maternal lineages involved in ***,domestication histories of these two lineages remain *** therefore compared several population characteristics between these two lineages based on global sampling,which included 171 sequences obtained in this study(including Middle Asian,East Asian,and African samples)plus 536 published sequences(including European,Asian,and African samples).The two lineages were clearly separated from each other based on whole mitochondrial genomes and partial non-coding displacement loop(D-loop)sequences,*** Clade I lineage experienced an increase in population size more than 8000 years ago and shows a complex haplotype *** contrast,the population size of the Clade II lineage has remained relatively constant,with a simpler haplotype *** the distribution of the two lineages was almost equal across the Eurasian mainland,they still presented discernible but complex geographic bias in most parts of Africa,which are known as their domestication *** from sub-Saharan Africa tended to descend from the Clade I lineage,whereas the Clade II lineage was dominant along the East and North coasts of ***,the migration routes inferred from diversity decay suggested different expansion across China between the two ***,these differences indicated non-simultaneous domestication of the two lineages,which was possibly influenced by the response of pastoralists to the desertification of the Sahara and by the social expansion and trade of ancient humans in Northeast Africa,respectively.

Pathogenic Escherichia coli strains were isolated from yellow and white scour samples in pig farms. The strains were used to make autologous inactivated bacterins,and the bacterins were applied to multiple infected farms. The results showed that in the group of inactivated bacterins,the infected piglet number was less,the course of disease was shorter and the symptoms was milder. The piglet E. coli inactivated bacterins could significantly reduced morbidity of yellow and white scour of piglets,the preventive effects of E. coli autologous inactivated bacterins against yellow and white scour of piglets were much better than that of genetically engineered vaccines.

Summary： Human interleukin-15 （hIL-15） is an important cytokine to activate endothelial cells and can be regulated by many other cytokines. The aim of this study is to examine the ability of interferon-γ （IFN-γ）, and tumor necrosis factor-or （TNF-α to induce the production of human interleukin-15 （hIL-15） and IL-15 receptor （IL-15Rα by human umbilical vein endothelial cells （HUVECs）. The data are summarized as follows： 1. Northern blot revealed that IL-15 mRNA was up-regulated by IFN-γ and TNF-α 2. Intracellular IL-15 protein was visualized by fluorescence microscopy, whereas the expression of IL-15 on the surface of HUVECs was detected by fluorescence activated cell sorting （FACS）, and no detectable IL-15 in the medium was verified by ELISA. 3. IL-15Rα was detected on the surface of HUVECs by FACS after IFN-α and TNF-α stimulation, whereas Western blotting revealed that the elevated expression on surface IL-15Rα was not due to the increased protein expression. The conclusion demonstrated from our results is that IFN-α and TNF-α play an important role in regulating the expression of IL-15 and IL-15Rα on the surface of HUVECs.
