Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have garnered significant interest in energy storage due to their similar working mechanism to lithium ion batteries and abundant reserves of sodium *** facile synthesis of a carbon-based anode materials with capable electrochemical performance is key to promoting the practical application of *** this work,a combination of petroleum pitch and recyclable sodium chloride is selected as the carbon source and template to obtain hard carbon(HC)anode for *** times and temperatures are optimized by assessing the sodium ion storage behavior of different HC *** optimized HC exhibits a remarkable capacity of over 430 mAh·g^(-1) after undergoing full activation through 500 cycles at a density of current of 0.1 A·g^(-1).Furthermore,it demonstrates an initial discharge capacity of 276 mAh·g^(-1) at a density of current of 0.5 A·g^(-1).Meanwhile,the optimized HC shows a good capacity retention(170 mAh·g^(-1) after 750 cycles)and a remarkable rate ability(166 mAh·g^(-1) at 2 A·g^(-1)).The enhanced capacity is attributed to the suitable degree of graphitization and surface area,which improve the sodium ion transport and storage.

Summer Warming Limited Bud Output Drives a Decline in Daughter Shoot Biomass through Reduced Photosynthetis of Parent Shoots in Leymus chinensis Seedlings

Understanding how summer warming inﬂuences the parent and daughter shoot production in a perennial clonal grass is vital for comprehending the response of grassland productivity to global ***,we conducted a simulated experiment using potted Leymus chinensis,to study the relationship between the photosynthetic activ-ity of parent shoots and the production of daughter shoots under a whole(90 days)summer warming scenario(+3°C).The results showed that the biomass of parents and buds decreased by 25.52%and 33.45%,respectively,under warming *** reduction in parent shoot biomass due to warming directly resulted from decreased leaf area(18.03%),chlorophyll a(18.27%),chlorophyll b(29.21%)content,as well as a reduction in net photosynthetic rate(7.32%)and the maximum quantum efﬁciency of photosystem II(PSII)photochemistry(4.29%).The decline in daughter shoot biomass was linked to a decrease in daughter shoot number(33.33%)by ***,the number of belowground buds increased by 46.43%.The results indicated that long-term summer warming reduces biomass accumulation in parent shoot by increasing both limitation of stoma and ***,the parent shoot allocates relatively more biomass to the belowground organs to maintain the survival and growth of ***,buds,as a potential aboveground population,could remedy for the cur-rent loss of parent shoot density by increasing the number of future daughter shoots if summer warming subsides.

The emergence of new media in various fields has continuously strengthened the social aspect of social *** tend to express emotions in social interactions,and many people even use satire,metaphors,and other techniques to express some negative emotions,it is necessary to detect sarcasm in social comment *** sarcasm,the more reference data modalities used,the better the experimental *** paper conducts research on sarcasm detection technology based on image-text fusion *** effectively utilize the features of each modality,a feature reconstruction output algorithm is *** algorithm is based on the attention mechanism,learns the low-rank features of another modality through cross-modality,the eigenvectors are reconstructed for the corresponding modality through weighted *** only the image modality in the dataset is used,the preprocessed data has outstanding performance in reconstructing the output model,with an accuracy rate of 87.6%.When using only the text modality data in the dataset,the reconstructed output model is optimal,with an accuracy rate of 85.2%.To improve feature fusion between modalities for effective classification,a weight adaptive learning algorithm is *** algorithm uses a neural network combined with an attention mechanism to calculate the attention weight of each modality to achieve weight adaptive learning purposes,with an accuracy rate of 87.9%.Extensive experiments on a benchmark dataset demonstrate the superiority of our proposed model.

Low sperm motility is one of the main causes of male infertility. Cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR, an anion channel protein) is related to the progressive motility of sperm. CFTR disruptor CFTRinh-172 or forskolin (FSK) in this study were used to treat human sperm separately, and the rates of sperm autophagy and progressive motility, mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) and ATP concentration, and the expression levels of related factors were detected to explore their relationship. It was showed that sperms treated with CFTRinh-172 or FSK reduced the levels of cAMP, CFTR and PKA, but increased sperm autophagy rate, expression levels of AMPK and LC3B. However, reactive oxygen species content had no significant difference. It was indicated that low level of CFTR performed with cAMP and its downstream effectors such as PKA and AMPK to regulate mitochondrial structure and function, leading to increased autophagy rate and reduced vitality of sperm.

The primary objective of this investigation was to scrutinize the prepregnancy conditions and lifestyles of 2046 women residing in Liuzhou City, with the aim of delineating the determinants of delivery methods. Evidently, the study unearthed substantial correlations between prepregnancy body mass index, educational attainment, exposure to passive smoking, medical history, and other variables with the mode of delivery. Furthermore, a predictive nomogram model was formulated to accurately forecast the likelihood of cesarean section. These discernments equip pertinent authorities with the means to institute targeted screening and supportive measures for women contemplating pregnancy based on these identified factors. Moreover, provision of services such as prepregnancy counseling and clinical risk assessments could be instrumental in curbing the incidence of cesarean section.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effectiveness and safety of Jiawei Xiaoyao pill(加味逍遥丸,JXP)in the treatment of symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome(PMS).METHODS:A total of 144 regularly menstruating women with PMS were recruited at 8 sites in China from August 2017 to December 2018,and randomized to receive either a JXP or a matching placebo(12 g/d,6 g twice a day)for 3 menstrual *** primary indicator was the reduced Daily Record of Severity of Problems(DRSP)scores in the luteal phase after 3 months of *** safety outcomes included clinical adverse events(AEs),adverse reactions(ARs),changes in vital signs,and laboratory ***:JXP surpassed the placebo in reducing DRSP scores(psychological/somatic dysfunction)in the luteal phase over 3 menstrual cycles of treatment(PFAS=0.002,PPPS=0.001).Additionally,there were no significant differences in the incidence of AEs,severe AEs,withdrawal due to AEs and ARs between the two groups(all P>0.05),and no clinically significant adverse medical events related to the test drug ***:JXP was superior to the placebo in relieving the symptoms associated with PMS,which signified that JXP may be effective,safe,and welltolerated as an alternative therapy.

Humans have relied on biomass for survival and development since the Stone Age. All aspects of human needs for materials are covered by tools, fuel, and buildings. Nowadays, metals and petroleum-based materials are widely used in highly developed industries. Unfortunately, environmental contamination and the loss of natural resources have led to the reemergence of biomass resources as efficient and sustainable energy sources. Notably, simple and direct applications can no longer meet the demand for functionalization, high performance of materials and construction materials. Therefore, it is imperative to modify biomass and combine its utilisation to produce functionalization and high performance materials. For example, construction materials with superior mechanical properties and water resistance can be produced by reinforcing fibres to facilitate crosslinking. Water-oil separation or adsorption effects of hydrogels and aerogels are determined by the porosity and lightness of biomass, biocomposite conductor is prepared by chimaeric conductive material. Here, we review the approaches that have been taken to devise an environmentally friendly yet fully recyclable and sustainable functionalised biocomposites from biomass and its potential directions for future research.

BACKGROUND Non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)poses a significant challenge in diabetes management due to its microvascular changes in the *** photocoagulation,a conventional therapy,aims to mitigate the risk of progressing to proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).AIM To compare the efficacy and safety of multi-spot vs single-spot scanning panretinal laser photocoagulation in NPDR *** Forty-nine NPDR patients(86 eyes)treated between September 2020 and July 2022 were *** were randomly allocated into single-spot(n=23,40 eyes)and multi-spot(n=26,46 eyes)*** outcomes,including bestcorrected visual acuity(BCVA),central macular thickness(CMT),and mean threshold sensitivity,were assessed at predetermined intervals over 12 *** reactions were also *** Energy levels did not significantly differ between groups(P>0.05),but the multi-spot group exhibited lower energy density(P0.05).CONCLUSION While energy intensity and safety were comparable between modalities,multi-spot scanning demonstrated lower energy density and showed superior short-term improvements in BCVA and CMT for NPDR patients,with reduced laser-induced damage.
