Solubility determination and comparison ofβ-HMX and RDX in two binary mixed solvents(acetonitrile+water,nitric acid+water)

In order to remove hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine(RDX),the main impurity,in process of polymorphic transformation of octrahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine(HMX),the solubility ofβ-HMX and RDX in acetonitrile(ACN)+water in the temperature range of 288.15-333.15 K and in nitric acid(HNO_(3))+water in the temperature range of 298.15-333.15 K were measured by laser dynamic *** results showed that the solubility of bothβ-HMX and RDX in binary mixed solvents increased monotonously as the temperature increase at a given solvent composition or with increasing of mole fraction of solvent(ACN and nitric acid).Solubility data were well correlated by the modified Apelblat equation,Jouyban-Acree model,Yaws equation and van't Hoff equation,and the Yaws equation achieved the best fitting results according to the relative error and the mean square error ***,the solubility ofβ-HMX and RDX in binary mixed solvent was compared,based on the solubility difference and the solvent's own properties,the best separation degree ofβ-HMX and RDX was found when the mole fraction of nitric acid was 0.22 at room temperature,which provided data support for HMX crystallization in mixed *** solubility differences between RDX andβ-HMX in mixed solvents were explained from the formation of intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen bonds.

Improving strength-ductility synchronously of Electron beam welded Ti600/Ti2AlNb joint through isothermal forging

Different alloys can be flexibly combined to meet the performance needs of different parts of the compressor disc by welding process. However, achieving a good combination of dissimilar alloys with different mechanical properties has always been a research difficulty. In this work, a Ti600/Ti2AlNb joint was fabricated through electron beam welding and an isothermal forging was used to optimized its microstructure and mechanical performance. The isothermal forging process increases the ultimate tensile strength（UST） and yield strength（YS）of the Ti600/Ti2AlNb joint by ～18 %, while ～2.5 times the ductility. It is indicated that before forging, the Ti600/Ti2AlNb joint exhibits a much lower strength than that of Ti600 matrix, whereas the opposite is true after isothermal forging. The isothermal forging broken the coarse columnar grains of Ti600/Ti2AlNb joint and render to an equiaxed B2 structure in which the acicular α2and O phase are precipitated, resulting a synchronous enhancement of strength and ductility. This work may pave an effective routine for improving the comprehensive mechanical properties of dissimilar metal welding joint.

Sludge composition and characteristics shaped microbial community and further determined process performance: A study on full-scale thermal hydrolysis-anaerobic digestion processes

Anaerobic digestion (AD) with thermal hydrolysis (TH) pretreatment is a promising process for excess sludge treatment,while there lacks of the knowledge from full-scale process about the impact of sludge composition and characteristics on microbial community and *** sludge physiochemical indices,microbial community and performance data of four full-scale TH-AD plants were characterized,and their relationships was *** four plants were operated under almost similar total organic loading rate (OLR)but their methanogenesis performance differentiate into two groups,namely superior group(SupG) and the inferior group (Inf G).In both groups,TH effectively solubilized particulate organic compounds,meanwhile raised the ammonia nitrogen (NH_(4)^(+)-N) and volatile fatty acid (VFA) *** with the Sup G,thermal hydrolyzed sludge of Inf G had higher level of VFAs,NH_(4)^(+)-N and total chemical oxygen demand (t coD),which showed higher inhibition effect on microbes,leading to a community with lower diversity,lower abundance of carbohydrate degrading functional guild,higher protein degrading one,and methanogens that adapted to limited substrates,and further declined the methane production ***,it was recommended that OLR alone was not sufficient for controlling the system in design and operation,the concentration of VFAs,NH_(4)^(+)-N and t coD should be equally *** higher concentration,together with the higher abundance of Defluviitoga and Proteiniphilum were recommended as indicators for inferior running *** results proposed that microbial communities played a role of bridge between environmental factors and performance,provided implications for engineering ecology and operational regulation for full-scale sludge TH-AD process.

A process-oriented approach for identifying potential landslides considering time-dependent behaviors beyond geomorphological features

co_(2) capture by modified clinoptilolite and its regeneration performance

This study focuses on co_(2) capture by pressure swing adsorption(PSA),with modified clinoptilolite as the *** clinoptilolite is modified by roasting,by acid pickling,by a combination of acid pickling and roasting,and by ion *** by acid pickling-roasting and by ion exchange are found to give the highest co_(2) adsorption capacities,of 730 mL/g and 876.7 mL/g,*** is found that regeneration of clinoptilolite by a combination of vacuum desorption and heating enables recovery of as much as 89%of its previous co_(2) adsorption *** examine the co_(2) adsorption capacity of clinoptilolite when applied to mixed gas,a simulated coking exhaust containing 12%co_(2) and 4%O_(2) is used,and it is found that ion exchange modified clinoptilolite achieves a co_(2) removal efficiency of 92.5%.A BET test reveals that acid pickling-roasting and Na^(+) modification enhance the porosity of clinoptilolite,thereby improving its adsorption *** work demonstrates the feasibility of applying modified clinoptilolite as an effective adsorbent for coO_(2)capture,providing a promising tool for dealing with greenhouse gases.

Numerical simulation research on multiphase flow of aviation centrifugal pump based on OpenFOAM

This paper aims to tackle the calculation efficiency problem raised in the cavitation-flow simulation of the aviation centrifugal pump due to the fading-away interface resulting from the dissipation of numerics used in the phase-change control equation for unstructured-grid multiphase flow,and due to the limitation of flow time-step in whole flow regimes,the control equation of vapor–liquid two-phase flow considering cavitation mass transport is established firstly,modifying the momentum equation by introducing the surface tension,and adding the artificial convective flow to the phase equation to solve the numerical dissipation ***,in consideration of the local time step principle and based on the multi-dimensional general limiter algorithm with explicit solutions under the OpenFOAM platform,a solution method of steady-state VOF (Volume of Fluid) model considering cavitation two-phase change is constructed,and the feasibility of this method is verified by NACA hydrofoil and NASA flat plate ***,based on the platform developed,the cavitation performance of an aviation centrifugal pump inducer is *** research results show that the error of the calculated cavitation pressure distribution for NACA hydrofoil between the simulation test and the experimental-test is less than 5%,and the maximum error of calculated cavitation number at pump head dropping for NASA high-speed flat plate inducer between the simulation test and the experimental-test is 2.1%.The cavitation area observed in the simulation test is the same as that obtained in the high-speed photography *** on the OpenFOAM simulation method,the position of pump head dropping of the fuel centrifugal pump can be accurately *** error of the calculated cavitation number at pump head dropping between the simulation test and the experimental test is about 3.7%,showing high calculation accuracy.

Experimental study on secondary air mixing along the bed height in a circulating fluidized bed with a multitracer-gas method

A multitracer-gas method was proposed to study the secondary air(SA)mixing along the bed height in a circulating fluidized bed(CFB)using carbon monoxide(co),oxygen(O_(2)),and carbon dioxide(co_(2))as tracer *** were carried out on a cold CFB test rig with a cross-section of 0.42 m×0.73 m and a height of 5.50 *** effects of superficial velocity,SA ratio,bed inventory,and particle diameter on the SA mixing were *** results indicate that there are some differences in the measurement results obtained using different tracer gases,wherein the deviation between co and co_(2) ranges from 42%to 66%and that between O_(2) and co_(2) ranges from 45%to 71%in the lower part of the fluidized ***,these differences became less pronounced as the bed height ***,the high solid concentration and fine particle diameter in the CFB may weaken the *** measurement results of different tracer gases show the same trends under the variation of operating *** superficial velocity and SA ratio and decreasing particle diameter result in better mixing of the *** effect of bed inventory on SA mixing is not monotonic.
