Objective: Elf-1 is a member of the proto-oncogenes Ets-related transcription factor family and over-expressed in many human tumors, Ki-67 is an important nuclear antigen associated with cell proliferation. This study investigated the expression of Elf-1 and Ki-67 in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and studied their correlation with the clinicopathological features. Methods: Tissue microarray from 64 cases lung cancer tissue and 10 cases normal lung tissue was constructed, immunohistochemical method was used to evaluate the protein expressions of Elf-1 and Ki-67, correlations of the expression of Elf-1 and Ki-67 to clinicopathological features of NSCLC were analyzed. Results: Expression of Elf-1 and Ki-67 in NSCLC tissues were significantly higher than in normal lung tissues(P < 0.05), the positive rate of Elf-1 and Ki-67 was 73.44% and 64.06% in NSCLC group, Overexpression of Elf-1 in NSCLC was significantly related to histopathological grading, different clinical staging and the intensity of ELF-1 expression was significantly higher in the group with lymph node metastasis than that without(P < 0.05). Overexpression of Ki-67 was also closely related to tumor differentiation, clinical stages and lymph node metastasis(P < 0.05). In addition positive correlation was found between the expressive intensity of Elf-1 and Ki-67(τ = 0.295, P = 0.018). Conclusion: The high expression and positive correlation of Elf-1 and Ki-67 in NSCLC suggest that they probably play a role in onset and progression of lung cancer, united detecting their expression could be used as an valuable molecular biological index for predicting the malignant behavior and early diagnosis of NSCLC.

Appropriately adapted comprehensive mechanical properties,degradation behavior and biocompatibility are prerequisites for the application of Zn-based biodegradable *** this study,hot-extruded Zn-0.5Cu-xFe(x=0.1,0.2 and 0.4 wt%)alloys were fabricated as candidates for biodegradable materials for guided bone regeneration(GBR)*** hot-extrusion process and Cu alloying were expected mostly to enhance the mechanical properties,and the Fe alloying was added mainly for regulating the *** microstructure,mechanical properties and in vitro degradation behavior were systematically *** ZnCuFe alloys were composed of a Zn matrix and FeZn13 *** increasing Fe content,a higher FeZn13 phase precipitation with larger particles was *** elongation declined significantly until fracture with increasing Fe content up to 0.4 wt%,the ZnCuFe(0.2 wt%)alloy achieved a good balance between mechanical strength and ductility,with an ultimate tensile strength of 202.3 MPa and elongation at fracture of 41.2%.Moreover,the addition of Fe successfully accelerated the degradation of ZnCuFe *** ZnCuFe(0.2 wt%)alloy showed relatively uniform corrosion in the long-term degradation ***,extracts of the ZnCuFe(0.2 wt%)alloy showed no apparent cytotoxic effects against L929 fibroblasts,Saos-2 osteoblasts or TAg periosteal *** ZnCuFe(0.2 wt%)alloy exhibited the potential to inhibit bacterial adhesion of Streptococcus gordonii and mixed oral *** study provides evidence that the ZnCuFe(0.2 wt%)alloy can represent a promising material for the application as a suitable GBR membrane.

N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A),a ubiquitous internal modification of eukaryotic mRNAs,plays a vital role in almost every aspect of mRNA ***,there is little evidence documenting the role of m^(6)A in regulating alternative polyadenylation(APA)in *** is controlled by a large protein-RNA complex with many components,including CLEAVAGE AND POLYADENYLATION SPECIFICITY FACTOR30(CPSF30).In Arabidopsis,CPSF30 has two isoforms and the longer isoform(CPSF30-L)contains a YT512-B Homology(YTH)domain,which is unique to *** this study,we showed that CPSF30-L YTH domain binds to m^(6)A in v *** the cpsf30-2 mutant,the transcripts of many genes including several important nitrate signaling-related genes had shifts in polyadenylation sites that were correlated with m^(6)A peaks,indicating that these gene transcripts carrying m^(6)A tend to be regulated by ***-type CPSF30-L could rescue the defects in APA and nitrate metabolism in cpsf30-2,but m^(6)A-binding-defective mutants of CPSF30-L could *** together,our results demonstrated that m^(6)A modification regulates APA in Arabidops is and revealed that the m^(6)A reader CPSF30-L affects nitrate signaling by controlling APA,shedding new light on the roles of the m^(6)A modification during RNA 3-end processing in nitrate metabolism.
