Dye@MOF composites(RhB@1): Highly sensitive dual emission sensor for the detection of pesticides, Fe^(3+) and ascorbate acid

With the rapid development of economy, industrial and agricultural pollutants have caused great damage to the ecological environment and the normal development of organisms, posing a serious threat to global public health. Therefore, rapid and sensitive detection of pollutants is very important for environmental safety and people’s health. A stable multi-response fluorescence sensor(RhB@1) with dual emission characteristics was constructed by embedding Rh B guest molecules in Zn-MOF using a simple one-pot method. XRD, IR, XPS, Raman and other characterization methods were used to demonstrate the formation of composite materials. The sensor has two fluorescence emission peaks at 415 nm and 575nm under the excitation of 316 nm. It has high sensitivity and low detection limit(7.94 and 7.82 nmol/L,respectively) in the detection of fluazinam(FLU) and Fe^(3+). The mechanism of fluorescence quenching may be due to the synergistic effect of IFE and PET. Outstandingly, when ascorbate acid(AA) was added to the quenching system of Fe^(3+) and Rh B@1, its fluorescence gradually recovered, forming the unique“on-off-on” sensor. Therefore, RhB@1 has a fast fluorescence response and good stability, making it potentially useful in practical application and biosensors. More significantly, using Fe^(3+)and AA as chemical input signals, a binary intelligent logic gate device has been developed based on the “on-off-on” response mode of RhB@1, which extends the application of logic gate switching devices in the chemical field. In addition, a visual portable test paper with good selectivity and high sensitivity was developed, which can be used for rapid detection of FLU, showing its broad application prospect.

Robust ZnS interphase for stable Zn metal anode of high-performance aqueous secondary batteries

Although Zn metal is an ideal anode candidate for aqueous batteries owing to its high theoretical capacity,lower cost,and safety,its service life and efficiency are damaged by severe hydrogen evolution reaction,self-corrosion,and dendrite ***,a thickness-controlled ZnS passivation layer was fabricated on the Zn metal surface to obtain Zn@ZnS electrode through oxidation–orientation sulfuration by the liquid-and vapor-phase hydrothermal *** from the chemical inertness of the ZnS interphase,the as-prepared Zn@ZnS electrode presents an excellent anti-corrosion and undesirable hydrogen evolution ***,the thickness-optimized ZnS layer with an unbalanced charge distribution represses dendrite growth by guiding Zn plating/stripping,leading to long service ***,the Zn@Zn S presented 300 cycles in the symmetric cells with a 42 mV overpotential,200 cycles in half cells with a 78 mV overpotential,and superb rate performance in Zn||NH;V;O;full cells.

Responses of plant community to the linkages in plant-soil C:N:P stoichiometry during secondary succession of abandoned farmlands,China

Succession is one of the central themes of ecology;however,the relationship between aboveground plant communities and underground soils during secondary succession remains *** this study,we investigated the composition of plant community,plant-soil C:N:P stoichiometry and their relationships during secondary succession after the abandonment of farmlands for 0,10,20,30,40 and 50 a in China,*** showed that the composition of plant communities was most diverse in the farmlands after secondary succession for 20 and 50 *** organic carbon and total nitrogen contents slightly decreased after secondary succession for 30 a,but both were significantly higher than those of control farmland(31.21%-139.10%and 24.24%-121.21%,respectively).Moreover,C:N ratios of soil and microbe greatly contributed to the changes in plant community composition during secondary succession of abandoned farmlands,explaining 35.70%of the total ***,soil C:N ratio was significantly and positively related with the Shannon-Wiener *** study provides the evidence of synchronous evolution between plant community and soil during secondary succession and C:N ratio is an important linkage between them.

Examining the Relationship Between Spatial Configurations of Urban Impervious Surfaces and Land Surface Temperature

The urban heat island(UHI) effect has significant effects on the quality of life and public health. Numerous studies have addressed the relationship between UHI and the increase in urban impervious surface area(ISA), but few of them have considered the impact of the spatial configuration of ISA on UHI. Land surface temperature(LST) may be affected not only by urban land cover, but also by neighboring land cover. The aim of this research was to investigate the effects of the abundance and spatial association of ISAs on LST. Taking Harbin City, China as an example, the impact of ISA spatial association on LST measurements was examined. The abundance of ISAs and the LST measurements were derived from Landsat Thematic Mapper(TM) imagery of 2000 and 2010, and the spatial association patterns of ISAs were calculated using the local Moran’s I index. The impacts of ISA abundance and spatial association on LST were examined using correlation analysis. The results suggested that LST has significant positive associations with both ISA abundance and the Moran’s I index of ISAs, indicating that both the abundance and spatial clustering of ISAs contribute to elevated values of LST. It was also found that LST is positively associated with clustering of high-ISA-percentage areas(i.e.,>50%) and negatively associated with clustering of low-ISA-percentage areas(i.e.,<25%). The results suggest that, in addition to the abundance of ISAs,their spatial association has a significant effect on UHIs.

Drug associated vanishing bile duct syndrome combined with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis

A 28-year-old woman with untreated autoimmune disorder, demonstrated skin rash and fever after taking Amoxicillin-clavulanate and developed progressive jaundice. A bone marrow aspiration indicated an increased number of macrophages with hemophagocytosis and liver biopsy showed pure centrilobular cholestasis with necrosis and some absence of portal bile ducts. Furthermore, a serological test for Epstein-Barr virus was positive. Under treatment by liver dialysis and administration of steroids led to rapidly defervescence and clinical improvement. However, liver enzymes were still markedly elevated with persistent anemia, even after immunosuppressive treatment. The patient is currently waiting for liver transplantation. This is the ?rst description of vanishing bile duct syndrome combined with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, with underlying causes including infection, drug-induced factors and untreated autoimmune disorder.

RAVL1 Activates IDD3 to Negatively Regulate Rice Resistance to Sheath Blight Disease

Sheath blight disease (ShB) has a severe impact on the production of rice. ABI3/VP1-like 1(RAVL1) negatively regulated the rice defense mechanism against ShB, however, this regulatorymechanism is not clearly understood. In this study, we identified that indeterminate domain 3 (IDD3) waspositively regulated by RAVL1. Further, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay, yeast one-hybridassay and transient expression assay indicated a direct binding between RAVL1 and the IDD3 promoterregion. IDD3 was ubiquitously expressed in different tissues and at different stages, and its expressionwas significantly enhanced by Rhizoctonia solani infection. IDD3 exhibited transcription activation activityin yeast and IDD3-GFP was found to be localized in the nucleus. IDD3 mutants exhibited no significantdifferences in response to ShB, while IDD3 overexpressors were more susceptible to ShB compared withwild type (WT) plants. Furthermore, IDD3 repressors were less susceptible to R. solani than WT ***, the expression of brassinosteroid-related genes (D2, D11 and BRI1) was lower in IDD3repressors and higher in IDD3 overexpressors compared with WT. However, the ChIP assay revealedthat IDD3 did not directly bind to the D2 and D11 promoters. Overexpression of IDD3 in BRI1 mutantd61-1 inhibited the activity of IDD3, reducing its susceptibility to ShB compared with IDD3 overexpressorand WT plants, indicating that IDD3 negatively regulated the rice defense mechanism against ShB by activatingthe BR signaling pathway. Thus, our analyses provided information to enhance the understanding of therice defense mechanism against ShB.

Er-xian ameliorates myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats through RISK pathway involving estrogen receptors

2D/2D type-Ⅱ Cu2ZnSnS4/Bi2WO6 heterojunctions to promote visible-light-driven photo-Fenton catalytic activity
