Experimental study on the effects of drying methods on the stabilities of lignite

The drying processes are always applied prior to the transportation or utilization of lignite, and result in notable changes in the stabilities of lignite. In this paper, the study on the effects of nitrogen and MTE drying process on the physico-chemical properties and stabilities of Zhaotung lignite was carried out. The briquettes produced by MTE drying in this study were 150 mm in dimension, and so had a much larger particle size than nitrogen- dried samples. Nitrogen adsorption, mercury intrusion porosimetry and scanning electron microscopy all suggested that drying was accompanied by the transformation of larger pores into smaller ones. Compared to nitrogen drying, the pore structures could be stabilized by the MTE process. The soluble salts were removed during MTE drying which resulted in the decrease in ash and the concentrations of some of the major metals. The removal of water enhanced the hydrophilicity of nitrogen dried samples, but did not affect the hydrophilicity of MTE dried samples. The moisture holding capacity of MTE dried samples reduced faster than nitrogen dried samples with the decrease of residual moisture content. The moisture readsorption processes of MTE dried sam- ples were strongly inhibited due to the much larger particle size of sample produced by MTE drying than nitrogen drying. The susceptibility to spontaneous combustion, indicated by cross point temperature and self-heating tests, of nitrogen and MTE dried samples increased with the decrease of residual moisture content. The MTE dried samples are more liable to spontaneous combustion than nitrogen dried samples with the same residual moisture and particle size. However, the larger particle size of the MTE product made it more stable with respect to spontaneous combustion and also moisture readsorption.

The thermodynamic and kinetic mechanisms of Taixi anthracite during its graphitization process were *** understand the variation trends of carbon arrangement order,microcrystal size,and graphitization degree against temperature during the graphitization process,a series of experiments were performed using Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction(XRD).Subsequently,the influencing factors of the dominant reaction at different temperatures were analyzed using thermodynamics and *** results showed that the graphitization process of Taixi anthracite can be divided into three stages from the perspective of reaction thermodynamics and *** played a crucial role in the formation and growth of a graphitic ***,multivariate mechanisms coexisted in the graphitization *** ultrahigh temperatures,the defects of synthetic graphite could not be completely eliminated and perfect graphite crystals could not be *** low temperatures,the reaction is mainly controlled by dynamics,while at high temperatures,thermodynamics dominates the direction of the reaction.

Although platelet-rich plasma(PRP)plays a significant role in the orthopedic clinical application,it still faces two major problems,namely,uncontrollable factors release,frequent preparation and extraction processes as well as the inconvenient form of *** overcome these shortcomings,freeze-dried PRP(LyPRP)was encapsulated into bioactive Col I hydrogel to induce osteogenic dif-ferentiation of rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(rBMSCs).And PRP/Col I composite hydrogel was prepared as a *** with Col I hydrogel,the introduction of platelets significantly improved the mechanical properties of ***,platelets were evenly distributed in the composite hydrogels *** sustainable release of related factors in the composite hydrogels could last for more than 14days to maintain its long-term biological *** cell experiments confirmed that PRP and LyPRP could effectively alleviate the contraction of collagen hydrogel in vitro,and promote the adhesion,proliferation and osteogenesis differentia-tion of *** results of osteogenic gene expression indicated that the 10%LyPRP/Col I composite hydrogel could facilitate the early expression of BMP-2 and late osteogenic associated protein formation with higher expression of alkaline phosphatase and Osteocalcin(OCN).These results might provide new insights for the clinical application of 10%LyPRP/Col I composite hydro-gel as practical bone repair injection.

Landslide is one of the multitudinous serious geological hazards. The key to its control and reduction lies on dynamic monitoring and early warning. The article points out the insufficiency of traditional measuring means applied for large-scale landslide monitoring and proposes the method for extensive landslide displacement field monitoring using high- resolution remote images. Matching of cognominal points is realized by using the invariant features of SIFT algorithm in image translation, rotation, zooming, and affine transformation, and through recognition and comparison of characteristics of high-resolution images in different landsliding periods. Following that, landslide displacement vector field can be made known by measuring the distances and directions between cognominal points. As evidenced by field application of the method for landslide monitoring at West Open Mine in Fushun city of China, the method has the attraction of being able to make areal measurement through satellite observation and capable of obtaining at the same time the information of large- area intensive displacement field, for facilitating automatic delimitation of extent of landslide displacement vector field and sliding mass. This can serve as a basis for making analysis of laws governing occurrence of landslide and adoption of countermeasures.

Wheat-rye T1BL·1RS translocation lines are widely used,especially in China,but their processing quality is generally *** interfering expression vector targeting theω-secalin genes was constructed with the 1Bx7 seed-specific ***-mediated genetic transformation of the wheat cultivar KN199 carrying the T1BL·1RS translocation generated 10 transgenic *** representative transgenic lines,8-2 and 13-7,were selected for *** with the control,the two transformants showed an up to 4.5-fold decrease in totalω-secalins and various levels of decrease inω-gliadins,γ-gliadins,and low-molecular-weight glutenins.A decrease in high molecular weight(HMW)glutenin 1Bx7 was detected only in 8-2,owing possibly to promoter *** levels ofα-gliadins were observed in both transformants,but increased levels of HMW glutenins were observed only in *** 13-7 showed increases in gluten index,Zeleny sedimentation value,stabilization time,and maximum *** bread volume was 849.6 mL,an 11.9%increase over that of the *** 8-2 showed decreases in these parameters,but its total cake-making quality score was 88,an 17.3%increase over that of the *** study demonstrates that the same RNAi construct may produce different effects on wheat processing quality and highlights the influence of the vector promoter in RNA interference.

Mature seed-derived callo from two elite Chinese japonica rice (Oryza saliva L.) cultivars Eyi 105 and Ewan 5 were co-transformed with two plasmids, pWRG1515 and pRSSGNAl, containing the selectable marker hygromy-cin phosphotransferase gene (hpt), the reporter β-glu-curonidase gene (gusA) and the snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) lectin gene (gna) via particle bombardment. 61 independent transgenic rice plants were regenerated from 329 bombarded calli. 79% transgenic plants contained all the three genes, revealed by PCR/Southern blot analysis. Western blot analysis revealed that 36 out of 48 gna-containing transgenic plants expressed GNA (75%) at various levels with the highest expression being approximately 0.5% of total soluble protein. Genetic analysis confirmed Mendelian segregation of transgenes in progeny. The lack of genome editing platforms has hampered efforts to study and improve forage crops that can be grown on lands not suited to other ***,we established efficient Agrobacterium-mediated clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated nuclease 9(Cas9)genome editing in a perennial,stress-tolerant forage grass,sheepgrass(Leymus chinensis).By screening for active single-guide RNAs(sg RNAs),accessions that regenerate well,suitable Agrobacterium strains,and optimal culture media,and co-expressing the morphogenic factor Ta WOX5,we achieved 11%transformation and 5.83%editing efficiency in *** out Teosinte Branched1(TB1)significantly increased tiller number and *** study opens avenues for studying gene function and breeding in sheepgrass.
