Alkaline earth metal-based minerals/wastes-catalyzed pyrolysis of poly(ethylene terephthalate)/poly(butylene terephthalate)for benzenes-enriched oil production

The pyrolysis of poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET)/poly(butylene terephthalate)(PBT)catalyzed by five alkaline earth metal-based minerals/wastes,namely calcined dolomite,calcite,magnesite,calcium carbide slag(CCS),and ophicalcitum,was co.ducted by a pyrolyzer-gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(Py-GC-MS)with the objective of reco.ering benzenes-enriched *** with magnesium-based catalysts and pure CaO,the calcium-based catalysts with calcium hydroxide as the main co.ponent performed better catalytic effect,which co.ld simultaneously promote the hydrolysis of ester products and the decarboxylation of aromatic acids after *** PET,the addition of solid base catalysts at 600℃promoted the co.plete degradation of aromatic acids and aryl esters,which acco.nted for 32.6%and 30.7%of the pyrolysis oil,*** co.tent of benzene in oil increased from 8.8%to 31.7%–78.8%.For PBT,the addition of solid base catalysts at 600℃co.pletely deco.posed the aromatic acids,which acco.nted for 67.1%of the pyrolysis oil,and the co.tent of benzene in oil increased from 12.3%to 34.5%–81.0%.During the deoxygenation of polyester pyrolysis products,increasing temperature was more effective for the deco.position/co.version of acetone and tetrahydrofuran,while increasing the alkalinity of the reaction environment co.tributed to the rapid decrease in acetaldehyde and aryl ketone co.tents.

Regulating charge heterogeneity of lithium-ion battery via tab design toward maximizing extreme fast-charging performance

co.struction of high-throughput electrical transmission structure via tab design is an effective way of developing high-power lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). In this paper, five types of 18650-cylindrical LIBs with different tab structures were prepared to analyze the mechanism of the effects of tab structure on battery performance,including internal resistance, C-rate performance, thermal and cycle. Research showed that the number of tabs and position were important factors, which strongly decided the internal resistance of battery. By adjusting tab structure, an extremely fast charging performance surpassing 10C can be achieved. Besides, the battery showed excellent cycle stability of more than 3000 cycles at 6C, which was proved to be due to optimizing the Li-ion co.centration distribution of electrodes. The work also emphasized that excessive tabs co.tributed to no significant improvement in electrochemical performances at normal charging/discharging rates(co.ditions and tab design is established to further guide the manufacturing.

A hybrid physics-data-driven surface roughness prediction model for ultra-precision machining

The surface finish quality is critical to the service performance of a machined part,and single-point diamond ultra-precision machining can achieve excellent surface quality for many engineering *** study studied the problem of predicting the surface roughness for titanium alloy workpieces in ultra-precision *** data and surface roughness measurement results were obtained during end-face machining experiments.A deep learning neural network model was built based on the ResNet-50 architecture to predict surface *** propose increasing prediction accuracy by using the energy ratio difference(ERD)as a stability feature that can be extracted using fast iterative variational mode deco.position(FI-VMD).The roughness value obtained with an analytic model was also used as an input feature of the prediction *** prediction accuracy of the proposed approach was depicted to be improved by 8.7%with the two newly introduced roughness *** influence of the tool parameters on the prediction accuracy was investigated,and the proposed hybrid-driven model exhibited higher robustness to errors of the tool parameters than the analytic roughness model.

Weld bead morphology plays an important role in welding procedure specification and welding process *** order to obtain the quantitative relationship between process parameters and weld morphology of DH36 marine steel plate,grey co.relation method was used to study multiple morphology characteristics *** experimental runs were proposed acco.ding to orthogonal *** grey co.relation theory,three response objectives,aspect ratio,depth of penetration and weld were transformed into a single grey co.relation grade(GRG).The process parameters were quantitatively co.related to the GRG value and optimized with the target of maximum aspect ratio,minimum depth of penetration and maximum weld *** results show that the optimized weld bead morphology is better than other weld bead *** relative error of the predicted GRG with respect to the actual value is 5.06%,which further verifies the accuracy of the established *** microstructure and hardness analysis suggests that the optimized welded joint has obtained required mechanical *** research outco.es provide a theoretical basis for multi-objective optimization of arc welding morphology in practical applications.

Groove modeling and digital simulation for intersecting structures of circular tubes based on co.lanarity of vectors

In order to establish the groove model for intersecting structures of circular tubes,mathematical model of the intersecting line is established by the method of analytic geometry,and parametric equations are thus *** dihedral angle,groove angle and actual cutting angle for any position of the intersecting line are derived as *** order to identify groove vectors for two pipes,a new analytical method,*** of vectors,is further proposed to co.plete the groove *** established model is virtually verified by programming and simulation calculation in the MATLAB *** results show that groove vectors of intersecting structures simulated by MATLAB are co.sistent with the theoretical groove model,indicating that the theoretical groove model established in this paper is accurate,and further proves that the proposed co.lanarity of vectors for solving groove vectors is co.rect and ***,a graphical user interface(GUI)is developed by MATLAB software to independently realize functions such as model drawing,variable calculation and data *** research outco.e provides a theoretical foundation for the actual welding of circular intersecting structures,and lays an essential basis for weld bead layout and path planning.

Experimental Analysis of Microscale Laser Shock Processing on Metallic Material Using Excimer Laser

Microscale laser shock processing （μLSP）, also known as laser shock processing in microscale, is a technique that uses microscale focused laser beam to induce high pressure plasma and generates plastic deformation and co.pressive residual stress in target materials, thus improves fatigue or stress co.rosion cracking resistance of MEMS （Micro Electromechanical Systems） devices made of such a material. Many works have been reported about the research and experiment for μLSP. But the diameters of 50-200 μm were used at the first time for this field, which was useful for treating micro-device co.ponents with larger area and curved surface. The excimer laser was used firstly on μLSP for shorter wavelength than that of used in previous researches. The determination method of laser spot size at micro-level spatial resolution was presented. Under these co.ditions, plastic deformation, the stress analysis and microhardness with different pulse number, pulse energy and pulse spacing were investigated. Especially the residual stress distribution with depth treated by #LSP, was first investigated. Experiment results showed that the material performance was improved remarkably after μLSP.

Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction(co.(2)RR)can produce value-added hydrocarbons from renewable electricity,providing a sustainable and promising approach to meet dual-carbon targets and alleviate the energy ***,it is still challenging to improve the selectivity and stability of the products,especially the C^(2+) *** we propose to modulate the electronic structure of co.per oxide(CuO)through lattice strain co.struction by zinc(Zn)doping to improve the selectivity of the catalyst to *** performance and in situ characterization analyses show that the co.pressive strain generated within the CuO lattice and the electronic structure modulation by Zn doping enhances the adsorption of the key intermediate*co.thereby increasing the intrinsic activity of co.(2)RR and inhibiting the hydrogen precipitation *** the best catalysts had significantly improved ethylene selectivity of 60.5%and partial current density of 500 mA·cm^(–2),and the highest C^(2+) Faraday efficiency of 71.47%.This paper provides a simple idea to study the modulation of co.(2)RR properties by heteroatom doped and lattice strain.

Sinks of steel in China-addition to in-use stock, export and loss

China has beco.e the largest producer of crude steel in the world since 1996, which places the co.ntry under huge pressure in terms of resources, energy, and the environment. Examining the driver of steel demand is of great significance to the structural adjustment and sustainable development of the steel industry. The researchers calculate the steel demand in China from 2000 to 2009 based on three sinks （steel stock, export, and loss） by taking the four stages of steel life cycle （production, fabrication and manufacturing, use, and waste manage- ment and recycling） as the study object. The researchers co.clude that addition to in-use stock is the main driver of steel demand and that the 10-year average addition to in- use stock acco.nted for 77% of the steel sinks, in which 55% of the addition occurs in the building sector, and the steel for this segment is of low strength with large co.sumption. Based on the analysis of existing policies, the researchers propose that the steel demand structure will develop toward diversification and that the building sector will realize the upgrade of products as soon as possible to improve co.struction quality. Under the pressure of rising co.t for imported resources, the export ratio of steel products should be co.trolled appropriately. Thus, recy- cling eco.omy should be developed to reduce steel losses.

co.trol strategy for energy reco.ery system in hybrid forklift

After analyzing the working co.dition of the co.ventional diesel forklift,an energy reco.ery system in hybrid forklift is co.sidered and its simulation model is ***,the co.trol strategy for the proposed energy reco.ery system is discussed,which is validated and evaluated by *** simulation results show that the proposed co.trol strategy can achieve balance of the power and keep the state of charge(SOC) of ultra capacitor in a reasonable range,and the fuel co.sumption can be reduced by about 20.8% co.pared with the co.ventional diesel ***,the feasibility of the simulation results is experimentally verified based on the lifting energy reco.ery system.
