Feature Point Method of Chinese Character Recognition and Its Application

A new method for recognizing Chinese characters is proposed. It is based on the so-called feature points of Chinese characters. The feature points we use include those on the stroke of a character, i.e., end points, turning points, fork points and cross points, and the key points on the background of character. This method differs from the previous ones for it combines the feature points on stroke with those on back- ground and it uses feature points to recognize Chinese characters directly. A Chinese character recognition system based on top-down dynamical matching of feature point is developed. The system can recognize not only 6763 printed sample Song font Chinese characters of size 5.6×5.6mm^2 with high recognition rate, but also the general printed books, magazines and documents with a satisfactory recognition rate and speed.

Scalable video coding(SVC)has been widely used in video-on-demand(VOD)service,to efficiently satisfy users’different video quality requirements and dynamically adjust video stream to timevariant wireless *** the 5G network structure,we consider a cooperative caching scheme inside each cluster with SVC to economically utilize the limited caching storage.A novel multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL)framework is proposed to jointly optimize the video access delay and users’satisfaction,where an aggregation node is introduced helping individual agents to achieve global observations and overall system ***,to cope with the large action space caused by the large number of videos and users,a dimension decomposition method is embedded into the neural network in each agent,which greatly reduce the computational complexity and memory cost of the reinforcement *** results show that:1)the proposed value-decomposed dimensional network(VDDN)algorithm achieves an obvious performance gain versus the traditional MADRL;2)the proposed VDDN algorithm can handle an extremely large action space and quickly converge with a low computational complexity.

Software defined optical networking(SDON)is a critical technology for the next generation network with the advantages of programmable control and *** one of the key issues of SDON,the security of control plane has also received extensive attention,especially in certain network scenarios with high security *** to the existence of vulnerabilities and heavy overhead,the existing firewalls and distributed control technologies cannot solve the control plane security problem *** this paper,we propose a distributed control architecture for SDON using the blockchain technique(BlockCtrl).The proposed BlockCtrl model introduces the advantages of blockchain into SDON to achieve a high-efficiency fault tolerant *** have evaluated the performance of our proposed architecture and compared it to the existing models with respect to various metrics including processing rate,recovery latency and *** numerical results show that the BlockCtrl is capable of attacks detection and fault tolerant control in SDON with high performance on resource utilization and service correlation.

The digital monitoring principle and technologies for heavy duty mechanical equipment based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) technology are introduced in this paper. The fundamentals of new-style FBG sensing technology, including the photorefractive effect of FBG, the physical formation, and the relation between optical properties and grating parameters, are investigated. The plaster, encapsulation and distribution planning of FBG sensor (FBGS), which is used to monitor heavy duty mechanical equipment under abominable environment and extreme conditions, are also studied. In addition, theoretical and experimental researches on the strain, temperature, displacement, and stress transmission characteristics between FBGS and detection interface are presented. The principle and method for temperature compensation in non-uniformity temperature field are described in detail as well. Comparing with the traditional sensing monitoring techniques, the application of FBGS technology on digital monitoring and diagnosis for heavy duty mechanical equipment has a number of significant technical advantages and will make a new breakthrough in this field.

We use the couple dipole method to investigate the scanning near-field optical microscopy metallic tip-nanoparticle near-field interaction. Dependences of the local field intensity inside the nanoparticle on the nanosized tip shape,the tip open angle and the illumination angle are revealed. In combination with the previous results, we establish a complete model to understand the tip-nanoparticle near-field coupling mechanism.
