As fundamental economic units,county economies play a crucial role in China's national economic ***,it remains unclear whether intellectual property rights policies at the county level can promote economic *** used a quasi-natural experiment from the Intellectual Property Powering County Project("the Project")to measure their impact on county economic growth from 2009 to 2020,applying a multi-period diference-in-differences *** economic growth indicators were measured using Enhanced Vegetation Index-calibrated nighttime light data from the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program and Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer *** findings demonstrated that the Project promoted economic growth significantly by incentivizing innovation,attracting high-tech and new-tech enterprises,and fostering brand *** Project also exhibited significant heterogeneity across districts and counties,along with spillover effects on economic growth in surrounding counties within approximately 80 kilometers.

Carbon emission is inevitable,and changes with energy consumption and economic development,presents policy options toward sustainable development ***,there is little assurance from policymakers in committing to climate change pledges:taking the Middle-East and North African(MENA)region as a specific case with using 2019 as a cut-off *** conducted an interim assessment of the Paris Agreement to ascertain whether climate actions are in tandem with emissions reduction *** use of difference-in-difference technique as a quasiexperiment supported by fixed-effects and placebo treatment models,the results point to evidence of less than 1%effective CO_(2) emissions reduction as of 2019 compared to the 2015 *** current carbon emissions reduction commitment level is far-reaching contrary to the Nationally Determined Contributions(NDCs)pledged(16.43%on average by 2030 compared to the 2015 level).The analysis suggests that achieving NDCs commitments are currently major burden on policymakers since the economic development is highly linked with nonrenewable energy ***,a more comprehensive framework when accounting for all available renewable and clean energy projects shows reduction levels in the range of 30%-40%from 2020 to *** results suggest that the Paris Agreement in MENA countries may be more effective from 2020,thus underscore the importance of capturing ongoing projects(involving renewable and clean energy technologies)into interim policy *** shared implication is that greater efforts are demanded from the region and at country levels to further decrease emissions through the use of negative emissions technologies particularly in the electricity generation sector.

Feature screening plays an important role in ultrahigh dimensional data *** paper is concerned with conditional feature screening when one is interested in detecting the association between the response and ultrahigh dimensional predictors(e.g.,genetic makers)given a low-dimensional exposure variable(such as clinical variables or environmental variables).To this end,we first propose a new index to measure conditional independence,and further develop a conditional screening procedure based on the newly proposed *** systematically study the theoretical property of the proposed procedure and establish the sure screening and ranking consistency properties under some very mild *** newly proposed screening procedure enjoys some appealing properties.(a)It is model-free in that its implementation does not require a specification on the model structure;(b)it is robust to heavy-tailed distributions or outliers in both directions of response and predictors;and(c)it can deal with both feature screening and the conditional screening in a unified *** study the finite sample performance of the proposed procedure by Monte Carlo simulations and further illustrate the proposed method through two real data examples.

Based on international comparison,this paper finds that the excessively low share of property income is a main cause for the low share of resident income in national income in *** the past two decades,the average share of resident income in the primary distribution of national income in China is 25.32% and 16.76%,the share of property income is 15.62% and 3.36% and the share of labor remuneration is 12.84% and 12.77%,which are all lower than that of the United States and Japan *** decomposition of national income distribution in China,the United States and Japan indicates that excessively low return on investment(ROI)of is the primary cause for excessively low property income in *** to economic logic,ROI in China has been lower than that in the United States and Japan where capital is more adequate for the past *** all,the excessively low real interest rate due to interest rate control is the primary cause for excessively low property income in China,while the lack of financial products caused by financial market access restrictions also restrains the growth of property income in China.

This study investigates the relationship between auditor tenure and credit default swap(CDS)spreads of *** based on quantile *** allowing for common determinants of CDS spreads,auditor tenure exerts both statistically and economically significant additional impacts on the CDS ***,there are differential effects of common CDS spread determinants and auditor *** common determinants of CDS spreads(e.g.,leverage,volatility,risk free rate,credit ratings,and earnings)have monotonically increasing impacts when CDS spreads(and their changes)are increasingly higher,auditor tenure primarily has the impact when CDS spreads are of low or median levels for less risky firms.

Energy intensity and elasticity,together with inter-fuel substitution are key issues in the current development stage of *** production and ridge regression are applied for studying these issues with a data range of 2000–*** current energy dynamics reveal the expected inverse relationship:higher energy intensity and lower elasticity with economic *** are evidences of energy-economic challenges:high energy cost,inefficiency and backfire rebound *** implications are higher energy losses in the system,more consumption of lower-quality energy together with low energy technology *** is wasted and directly not productive with economic *** is observed further that the higher energy intensity invariably increases CO2 emission because approximately 95%of total energy is derived from hydrocarbons and *** inter-fuel substitution future scenario design was further conducted and the results were positive with growth,lower energy intensity,and improved energy ***,government and energy policymakers should improve energy efficiency,cost,and *** is,they should change energy compositions and augment energy technology innovation,thus,increasing renewable share to 15%by 2026,reducing wood and charcoal by about 69%,and increasing natural gas to about 776%.Energy policymakers should enhance the installation of smart energy,cloud energy solution,tokenization of energy system and storage.

Since 2003, China＇s labor market has been facing two coexisting crises： a rural labor surplus and a severe shortage of migrant labor Using data from the 2000 China Health and Nutrition Survey questionnaire, which covers 288 villages in 36 counties, this paper attempts to find a solution to this dilemma. Specifically, a multinomial logit model, a Mincer- type model and a probit model are applied to examine the effect of educational level on the employment choices for rural laborers, and on the wages and the employment status of migrants. Based on the results of our analysis, we propose the implementation of policy aimed at increasing the educational level of rural dwellers, in conjunction with other policies to eliminate all artificial barriers, to facilitate the migration of rural laborers.

Abstract In this paper we investigate the quasi-shadowing property for C1 random dynamical sys-terns on their random partially hyperbolic sets. It is shown that for any pseudo orbit {xk}＋∞ -∞ on a random partially hyperbolic set there exists a ＂center＂ pseudo orbit {Yk}＋∞ -∞ shadowing it in the sense that yk＋l is obtained from the image of yk by a motion along the center direction. Moreover, when the random partially hyperbolic set has a local product structure, the above ＂center＂ pseudo orbit{yk}＋∞ -∞ can be chosen such that yk＋1 and the image of yk lie in their common center leaf.
