Objective:To explore the effect of Qi cross-shaped moxibustion on the recovery of gastrointestinal function in elderly hip fracture patients after ***:62 elderly hip fracture surgery patients were selected as the base analysis sample,enrolled in January 2023-May 2024,and divided into an observation group(n=31)and a control group(n=31)using the digital table random draw *** patients in the control group underwent conventional dietary intervention,and the patients in the observation group underwent Qi cross-shaped moxibustion intervention,comparing the gastrointestinal function recovery time and quality of life scores(PAC-QOL)of patients with constipation between the two ***:The gastrointestinal function recovery time of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);the PAC-QOL score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after the intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion:Qi cross-shaped moxibustion can shorten the recovery time of gastrointestinal function and improve the quality of life of elderly hip fracture patients after surgery,and it has the value of promotion and application.

Moutan Cortex terpene glycoside improves diabetic kidney disease by targeting SIRT1 mediated autophagy pathway

Moutan Cortex terpene glycoside was derived from the dried root bark of Paeonia suffruticosa Andr. in the Paeoniaceae family， which holds significant value as a traditional chinese medicine. This study investigated that Moutan Cortex terpene glycoside improves diabetic kidney disease (DKD) by targeting sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) mediated autophagy pathway. Mechanistic insights are gained using DKD model rats and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) to delineate how Moutan Cortex terpene glycoside operates in the treatment of DKD. Furthermore， network pharmacology is used to identify the primary metabolic pathways affected by Moutan Cortex terpene glycoside， with key targets being confirmed through PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)， Western blot， Transmission electron microscope， immunofluorescence staining and Monodansylcadaverine (MDC) staining. Finally， small interfering RNA transfection testified SIRT1 in advanced glycation end-products (AGEs)-induced HUVECs injury. Moutan Cortex terpene glycoside effectively decreased blood glucose rise in DKD rats and improvements and reduced levels of cytokines and biochemical indicators. Network pharmacology revealed that metabolism was the main pathway of Moutan Cortex， and the main targets were verified by PCR and protein experiments. Based on these results， we found that Moutan Cortex could improve DKD and SIRT1 was a potential target. Furthermore， knockdown of SIRT1 attenuated AGEs-induced the expression of Beclin 1 and LC3II/I in HUVECs. In summary， this study demonstrated that Moutan Cortex could alleviate DKD via down-regulating SIRT1-mediated autophagy pathway.

Wound management is a major global challenge and a big financial burden to the healthcare system due to the rapid growth of chronic diseases including the diabetes, obesity, and aging population. Modern solutions to wound management include hydrogels that dissolve on demand, and the development of such hydrogels is of keen research interest. The formation and subsequent on-demand dissolution of hydrogels is of keen interest to scientists and clinicians. These hydrogels have excellent properties such as tissue adhesion, swelling, and water absorption. In addition, these hydrogels have a distinctive capacity to form in situ and dissolve on-demand via physical or chemical reactions. Some of these hydrogels have been successfully used as a dressing to reduce bleeding in hepatic and aortal models, and the hydrogels remove easily afterwards. However, there is an extremely wide array of different ways to synthesize these hydrogels. Therefore, we summarize here the recent advances of hydrogels that dissolve on demand, covering both chemical cross-linking cases and physical cross-linking cases. We believe that continuous exploration of dissolution strategies will uncover new mechanisms of dissolution and extend the range of applications for hydrogel dressings.

However, the precise anti-oxidation pathway remains ***：To validate the protective effects of Mailuoning on H202-induced primary cortical neuron injury in embryonic ***, TIME AND SETTING：Comparative observation and in v#ro experiments were performed at the Jiangsu Key Laboratory for Molecular medicine from January 2008 to September ***：Mailuoning （Nanjing Jinling Medical Company, China）, reactive oxygen species （ROS） kit （Beyotime Biotechnology, China）, superoxide dismutase （SOD）, Cu/Zn SOD kit, malondialdehyde （MDA） kits （Nanjing Jiancheng, China）, mitochondrial membrane potential （GMS10013.1, GENMED, USA） and catalase activity assay kit （Beyotime Biotechnology, China） were utilized for the present ***：Mouse embryonic cortical neurons were isolated and cultured with culture medium containing H2O2 （80 μmol/L） and/or Mailuoning （1.25 μg/mL） for 24 *** OUTCOME MEASURES：Neuronal viability and death were detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazdium and flow cytometry; ROS production was determined by flow cytometry; mitochondriai membrane potential was detected using fluorescent staining; SOD activity was detected using a modified nitroblue tetrazolium method; Cu/Zn SOD and catalase activity was detected by spectrophotometry; and MDA was determined using the lipid peroxidation ***：H2O2 increased ROS production and MDA concentration （P 〈 0.05）, and decreased mitochondrial membrane potential, SOD, Cu/Zn SOD and catalase activity （P 〈 0.05）; the number of surviving neurons （P 〈 0.05） was also reduced.
