Experience of humanistic nursing in hemodialysis nursing for patients with diabetic kidney disease

BACKGROUND Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)is a prevalent complication of diabetes that often requires hemodialysis for treatment.In the field of nursing,there is a growing recognition of the importance of humanistic care,which focuses on the holistic needs of patients,including their emotional,psychological,and social well-being.However,the application of humanistic nursing in the context of hemodialysis for DKD patients remains relatively unexplored.AIM To explore the experience of humanistic nursing in hemodialysis nursing for DKD patients.METHODS Ninety-six DKD patients treated with hemodialysis from March 2020 to June 2022 were included in the study and divided into the control cluster(48 cases)and the study cluster(48 cases)according to different nursing methods;the control cluster was given routine nursing and the study cluster was given humanized nursing.The variances of negative emotion mark,blood glucose,renal function,the incidence of complications,life mark and nursing satisfaction before and after nur-sing were contrasted between the two clusters.RESULTS No significant difference in negative emotion markers between the two clusters were observed before nursing(P>0.05),and the negative emotion markers of the two clusters decreased after nursing.The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale markers were lower in the study cluster than the control cluster.The healing rate of patients in the study cluster was significantly higher than the control cluster(97.92%vs 85.42%,P0.05).However,after nursing,blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine(SCr)levels in the study cluster were lower than those in the control cluster(Pcontrol cluster(6.25%vs 20.83%,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the life markers between the two clusters before nursing.While the life markers increased af

A non-probabilistic reliability topology optimization method based on aggregation function and matrix multiplication considering buckling response constraints

A non-probabilistic reliability topology optimization method is proposed based on the aggregation function and matrix multiplication.The expression of the geometric stiffness matrix is derived,the finite element linear buckling analysis is conducted,and the sensitivity solution of the linear buckling factor is achieved.For a specific problem in linear buckling topology optimization,a Heaviside projection function based on the exponential smooth growth is developed to eliminate the gray cells.The aggregation function method is used to consider the high-order eigenvalues,so as to obtain continuous sensitivity information and refined structural design.With cyclic matrix programming,a fast topology optimization method that can be used to efficiently obtain the unit assembly and sensitivity solution is conducted.To maximize the buckling load,under the constraint of the given buckling load,two types of topological optimization columns are constructed.The variable density method is used to achieve the topology optimization solution along with the moving asymptote optimization algorithm.The vertex method and the matching point method are used to carry out an uncertainty propagation analysis,and the non-probability reliability topology optimization method considering buckling responses is developed based on the transformation of non-probability reliability indices based on the characteristic distance.Finally,the differences in the structural topology optimization under different reliability degrees are illustrated by examples.

The underwater wireless optical communication(UWOC)system has gradually become essential to underwater wireless communication technology.Unlike other existing works on UWOC systems,this paper evaluates the proposed machine learningbased signal demodulation methods through the selfbuilt experimental platform.Based on such a platform,we first construct a real signal dataset with ten modulation methods.Then,we propose a deep belief network(DBN)-based demodulator for feature extraction and multi-class feature classification.We also design an adaptive boosting(Ada Boost)demodulator as an alternative scheme without feature filtering for multiple modulated signals.Finally,it is demonstrated by extensive experimental results that the Ada Boost demodulator significantly outperforms the other algorithms.It also reveals that the demodulator accuracy decreases as the modulation order increases for a fixed received optical power.A higher-order modulation may achieve a higher effective transmission rate when the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)is higher.

On convergence of covariance matrix of empirical Bayes hyper-parameter estimator

Regularized system identification has become the research frontier of system identification in the past decade.One related core subject is to study the convergence properties of various hyper-parameter estimators as the sample size goes to infinity.In this paper,we consider one commonly used hyper-parameter estimator,the empirical Bayes(EB).Its convergence in distribution has been studied,and the explicit expression of the covariance matrix of its limiting distribution has been given.However,what we are truly interested in are factors contained in the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator,and then,the convergence of its covariance matrix to that of its limiting distribution is required.In general,the convergence in distribution of a sequence of random variables does not necessarily guarantee the convergence of its covariance matrix.Thus,the derivation of such convergence is a necessary complement to our theoretical analysis about factors that influence the convergence properties of the EB hyper-parameter estimator.In this paper,we consider the regularized finite impulse response(FIR)model estimation with deterministic inputs,and show that the covariance matrix of the EB hyper-parameter estimator converges to that of its limiting distribution.Moreover,we run numerical simulations to demonstrate the efficacy of ourtheoretical results.

Tourmaline guiding the electric field and dechlorination pathway of 2,3-dichlorophenol by Desulfitobacterium hafniense

The dehalogenation of organohalides has been a research hotspot in bioremediation field;however,the influence of tourmaline,a natural ore that can generate spontaneous electric field,on organohalide-respiring bacteria(OHRB)and their dechlorination process is not well known.In this study,the effect and mechanism of tourmaline on the reductive dechlorination of 2,3-dichlorophenol(2,3-DCP)by Desulfitobacterium hafniense DCB-2Twere explored.The characterization results confirmed that tourmaline had good stability and the optimal dosage of tourmaline was 2.5 g/L,which shortened the total time required for dechlorination reaction to 72 hr.Besides,tourmaline amendment also increased the proportion of 2-chlorophenol(2-CP)from 18%to 30%of end products,while that of 3-CP decreased correspondingly.The theoretical calculations showed that the bond charge of the orthosubstituted chlorine declined from-0.179 to-0.067,and that of meta-substituted chlorine increased from-0.111 to-0.129,which indicated that the spontaneous electric field of tourmaline affected the charge distribution of 2,3-DCP and was more conducive to the generation of 2-CP.Overall,tourmaline with the spontaneous electric field affected the reductive dechlorination pathway of Desulfitobacterium,and the tourmaline-OHRB combining system might serve as a novel strategy for the bioremediation of environments polluted with chlorinated phenols.

Geobacter sulfurreducens promoted the biosynthesis of reduced graphene oxide and coupled it for nitrobenzene reduction

In order to explore an efficient and green method to deal with nitrobenzene(NB)pollutant,reduced graphene oxide(r GO)as an electron shuttle was applied to enhance the extracellular electron transfer(EET)process of Geobacter sulfurreducens,which was a typical electrochemically active bacteria(EAB).In this study,r GO biosynthesis was achieved via the reduction of graphene oxide(GO)by G.sulfurreducens PCA within 3 days.Also,the r GOPCA combining system completely reduced 50-200μmol/L of NB to aniline as end product within one day.SEM characterization revealed that PCA cells were partly wrapped by rGO,and therefore the distance of electron transfer between strain PCA and r GO material was reduced.Beside,the ID/IGof GO,r GO,and r GO-PCA combining system were 0.990,1.293 and 1.31,respectively.Moreover,highest currents were observed in r GO-PCA-NB as 12.950μA/-12.560μA at -408 m V/156 m V,attributing to the faster electron transfer efficiency in EET process.Therefore,the NB reduction was mainly due to:(I)direct EET process from G.sulfurreducens PCA to NB;(II)r GO served as electron shuttle and accelerated electron transfer to NB,which was the main degradation pathway.Overall,the biosynthesis of r GO via GO reduction by Geobacter promoted the NB removal process,which provided a facile strategy to alleviate the problematic nitroaromatic pollution in the environment.

Bifidobacterium adolescentis CCFM8630 Exerts Anti-Obesity Effects by Modulating Gut Microbiota-Related Tryptophan Metabolism

Obesity is a major focus of researchers due to its increasing prevalence and relationship with other diseases， such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Probiotics are active microorganisms and have been proven to alleviate obesity by modulating the microbiota. In this study， we found that oral administration of Bifidobacterium adolescentis CCFM8630 to obese mice inhibited high-fat-diet (HFD)-induced changes in body weight and adipose tissue and alleviated hepatic oxidative stress. Furthermore， B. adolescentis CCFM8630 treatment primarily affected the relative abundances of the phyla Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria， and thereby decreased the production of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and the occurrence of LPS-related diseases. A high fiber intake increased the abundance of Lactobacillus and the concentrations of short-chain fatty acids in obese mice， but these changes were reversed by B. adolescentis CCFM8630 treatment. In addition， targeted metabolomic analysis and microbiota relationship analysis revealed that B. adolescentis CCFM8630 treatment modified the microbiota of obese mice by promoting the conversion of tryptophan (Trp) to xanthurenic acid， kynurenic acid， tryptamine， indole-3-acetic acid， and indole-3-carboxaldehyde; facilitated the expression of interleukin-17A and the aryl hydrocarbon receptor to generate interleukin-22 in the colon; and upregulated the expression of tight junction proteins， thereby strengthening intestinal barriers. In summary， our findings suggest that the intake of B. adolescentis CCFM8630 may alleviate obesity by modulating the gut microbiota and related Trp metabolism.

Utilizing sediment grain size characteristics to assess the effectiveness of clay–sand barriers in reducing aeolian erosion in Minqin desert area,China

The clay–sand barriers in Minqin desert area,China,represent a pioneering windbreak and sand fixation project with a venerable history of 60 a.However,studies on evaluating the long-term effectiveness of clay–sand barriers against aeolian erosion,particularly from the perspective of surface sediment grain size,are limited and thus insufficient to ascertain the protective impact of these barriers on regional aeolian activities.This study focused on the surface sediments(topsoil of 0–3 cm depth)of clay–sand barriers in Minqin desert area to explain their erosion resistance from the perspective of surface sediment grain size.In March 2023,six clay–sand barrier sampling plots with clay–sand barriers of different deployment durations(1,5,10,20,40,and 60 a)were selected as experimental plots,and one control sampling plot was set in an adjacent mobile sandy area without sand barriers.Surface sediment samples were collected from the topsoil of each sampling plot in the study area in April 2023 and sediment grain size characteristics were analyzed.Results indicated a predominance of fine and medium sands in the surface sediments of the study area.The deployment of clay–sand barriers cultivated a fine quality in grain size composition of the regional surface sediments,increasing the average contents of very fine sand,silt,and clay by 30.82%,417.38%,and 381.52%,respectively.This trend became markedly pronounced a decade after the deployment of clay–sand barriers.The effectiveness of clay–sand barriers in erosion resistance was manifested through reduced wind velocity,the interception of sand flow,and the promotion of fine surface sediment particles.Coarser particles such as medium,coarse,and very coarse sands predominantly accumulated on the external side of the barriers,while finer particles such as fine and very fine sands concentrated in the upwind(northwest)region of the barriers.By contrast,the contents of finest particles such as silt and clay were higher in the downwind(southeast)region of the sampling plots.For the

Three-dimensionally ordered macroporous(3DOM) structure promoted the activity and H_(2)O poisoning resistance of Ce Mn/3DOM-TiO_(2) catalyst in NH_(3)-SCR

NH_(3)-SCR is an effective mean of NOxremoval in the non-electric industry, however, the high activation temperature and poor H_(2)O resistance of SCR catalysts posed a barrier to its application. In this work, a series of three-dimensionally ordered macroporous(3DOM) catalysts were synthesized via a colloidal crystal template(CCT) method, and various characterizations were carried out to explore the physicochemical property of catalysts. The experiment results reveal that Ce_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)/3DOM-TiO_(2) catalyst presents the excellent low-temperature catalytic activity of nearly 100% at 100℃. Furthermore, the enhanced H_(2)O resistance is achieved, certified by the unaffected NO remove at 150℃ in the participation of 15 vol% H_(2)O. The characterizations results exhibit that the improved dispersion of the active component and enhanced redox ability are conducive to the low-temperature catalytic activity. N_(2) adsorption and desorption experiments indicate that catalyst with 3DOM support possesses a larger pore diameter and specific surface area, which may weaken the condensation of H_(2)O in the microporosity of catalysts and improved the H_(2)O resistance of the catalyst. In situ DRIFTS results manifest that Ce_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)/3DOM-TiO_(2) catalyst could not only absorb more NH_(3) and generate more surface-active sites, but inhibit the competitive adsorption between H_(2)O and SCR reactants.

Toward tuberculosis elimination by understanding epidemiologic characteristics and risk factors in Hainan Province, China

Background The disease burden of tuberculosis(TB)was heavy in Hainan Province,China,and the information on transmission patterns was limited with few studies.This atudy aims to further explore the epidemiological charac-teristics and influencing factors of TB in Hainan Province,and thereby contribute valuable scientific evidences for TB elimination in Hainan Province.Methods The TB notification data in Hainan Province from 2013 to 2022 were collected from the Chinese National Disease control Information System Tuberculosis Surveillance System,along with socio-economic data.The spatial-temporal and population distributions were analyzed,and spatial autocorrelation analysis was conducted to explore TB notification rate clustering.In addition,the epidemiological characteristics of the cases among in-country migrants were described,and the delay pattern in seeking medical care was investigated.Finally,a geographically and tem-porally weighted regression(GTWR)model was adopted to analyze the relationship between TB notification rate and socio-economic indicators.The tailored control suggestions in different regions for TB elimination was provided by understanding epidemiological characteristics and risk factors obtained by GTWR.Results From 2013 to 2022,64,042 cases of TB were notified in Hainan Province.The estimated annual percent-age change of TB notification rate in Hainan Province from 2013 to 2020 was-6.88%[95%confidence interval(CI):-5.30%,-3.69%],with higher rates in central and southern regions.The majority of patients were males(76.33%)and farmers(67.80%).Cases among in-country migrants primarily originated from Sichuan(369 cases),Heilongjiang(267 cases),Hunan(236 cases),Guangdong(174 cases),and Guangxi(139 cases),accounting for 53%.The majority(98.83%)of TB cases were notified through passive case finding approaches,with delay in seeking care.The GTWR analysis showed that gross domestic product per capita,the number of medical institutions and health personnel per 10,oo0 people were main factors affecting t
