Alzheimer's disease poses a significant global health challenge owing to the progressive cognitive decline of patients and absence of curative *** current therapeutic strategies,primarily based on cholinesterase inhibitors and N-methyl-Daspartate receptor antagonists,offer limited symptomatic relief without halting disease progression,highlighting an urgent need for novel research directions that address the key mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's *** studies have provided insights into the critical role of glycolysis,a fundamental energy metabolism pathway in the brain,in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's *** in glycolytic processes within neurons and glial cells,including microglia,astrocytes,and oligodendrocytes,have been identified as significant contributors to the pathological landscape of Alzheimer's *** changes impact neuronal health and function,thus offering promising targets for therapeutic *** purpose of this review is to consolidate current knowledge on the modifications in glycolysis associated with Alzheimer's disease and explore the mechanisms by which these abnormalities contribute to disease onset and *** focus on the pathways through which glycolytic dysfunction influences Alzheimer's disease pathology should provide insights into potential therapeutic targets and strategies that pave the way for groundbreaking treatments,emphasizing the importance of understanding metabolic processes in the quest for clarification and management of Alzheimer's disease.

We investigated the effects of calcination temperature(950-1450℃),steel slag content,and the total chromium content of steel slag on the Cr^(6+)contents of clinker samples produced using steel slags with different chromium ***,the reactions of chromium in clinker(produced using steel slag)during calcination were *** is found that Cr^(6+)conversion increases with increasing calcination temperature to 1250℃,reaching a maximum of 43%-79%,before decreasing to 18%-42%at 1450℃.Cr^(6+)is mainly formed by the oxidation of trivalent chromium(Cr^(3+))during the solid-phase reaction stage of clinker ***,the Cr^(6+)content of a clinker sample is proportional to the chromium content of its raw meal precursor and is mainly in the form of water-insoluble calcium chromate(CaCrO_(4)).The chromium in clinker is mainly distributed in tricalcium aluminate and tetracalcium aluminoferrite,however,some is present in silicate *** expect to inform the monitoring and control of the Cr^(6+)content of clinker(produced using steel slag)and resulting cement.

Point-of-interest(POI) recommendation is a popular topic on location-based social networks(LBSNs).Geographical proximity,known as a unique feature of LBSNs,significantly affects user check-in ***,most of prior studies characterize the geographical influence based on a universal or personalized distribution of geographic distance,leading to unsatisfactory recommendation *** this paper,the personalized geographical influence in a two-dimensional geographical space is modeled using the data field method,and we propose a semi-supervised probabilistic model based on a factor graph model to integrate different factors such as the geographical ***,a distributed learning algorithm is used to scale up our method to large-scale data *** results based on the data sets from Foursquare and Gowalla show that our method outperforms other competing POI recommendation techniques.

Canadian specularite concentrate（CSC） possesses high total iron grade and low impurity content. However, due to the poor granulating performance and weak reactivity of CSC at high temperature, the proportion of CSC used in sintering blends is restricted. In this research, the effects of fine limonite, slake lime, and bentonite particles on the granulation performance of blends containing a high ratio of CSC were studied through granulation test. Based on the test results, the effects of modification of the binding medium on the sintering performance of blends containing a high ratio of CSC were revealed by the sintering pot test. Both the granulation property and sintering performance of blends with a high proportion of CSC were improved by modifying the binding medium.

Recycling retired cars can relieve the environmental pollution and resource waste ***,a few publications can be found on the failure mechanisms and optimization method of recycling equipment,***,the failure mechanisms and structural optimization of shredder hammers for retired cars are studied aiming improving shredding efficiency and reducing *** types of shredder hammer are studied theoretically,and it is found that wear failure and fatigue failure are the two main failure types of shredder *** shredding process of metal scraps is analyzed by finite element method,and it can be divided into four stages based on the stress states：initial stage,collision stage,grinding stage and separation *** is proved that the shredding efficiency can be improved by increasing cutouts on the hammer ***,it is determined that the hammer with two cutouts is the optimal structure for metal scraps,which can improve the shredding efficiency by 20% and lengthen the hammer life by 15%.This study provides scientific basis for the industry application and theoretical foundation for further research.

Renewable energy sources(RESs)are rapidly devel-oping and their substitution for traditional power generation poses significant challenges to the frequency regulation in power *** load damping factor D characterizes the active power of load that changes with power system frequency,which is an important factor influencing the frequency ***,the value of D is small,resulting in the limitation in frequency regulation of the power *** paper proposes a parallel-type load damping factor controller to enhance load damping factor by utilizing static var generators(SVGs)in ***,it discusses the configuration method for the relevant parameters of the controller,evaluates its frequen-cy regulation capability,investigates the impact of large-scale application of the controller on static and dynamic loads,and conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the impact of the damping factor control process on the voltage stability of the main *** large-scale application of the proposed controller can significantly improve the frequency regulation capability,and almost have no influence on the working status of the *** can also significantly improve the dynamic performance of system *** proposed controller can provide technical support for the frequency regulation of new power systems with high proportion of RESs.

Prediction of DC Corona Onset Voltage for Rod-Plane Air Gaps by a Support Vector Machine

This paper proposes a new method to predict the corona onset voltage for a rod- plane air gap, based on the support vector machine （SVM）. Because the SVM is not limited by the size, dimension and nonlinearity of the samples, this method can realize accurate prediction with few training data. Only electric field features are chosen as the input; no geometric parameter is included. Therefore, the experiment data of one kind of electrode can be used to predict the corona onset voltages of other electrodes with different sizes. With the experimental data obtained by ozone detection technology, and experimental data provided by the reference, the efficiency of the proposed method is validated. Accurate predicted results with an average relative less than 3% are obtained with only 6 experimental data.

Cu^(+)-doped alkali borosilicate glasses with different Na_(2)O contents were prepared by the melting method,and the effects of different R values(R=Na_(2)O/B_(2)O_(3))on the structure,ion presence state and luminescence properties of Cu^(+)-doped alkali borosilicate glasses were *** analysis by FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy shows that,with the increase of R value of the glass,the[BO_(3)]in the structure of Cu^(+)-doped alkali borosilicate glass transforms into[BO_(4)]and the number of non-bridging oxygen in the glass network appears to be slightly *** absorption spectra and EPR analysis reveal that the Cu^(+)content in the glass gradually decreases and the Cu^(2+)content gradually increases as the R value of the glass *** and PL tests further indicate that the transformation of the octahedral coordination structure of Cu^(+)to the octahedral coordination structure of Cu^(2+)and the cubic coordination structure of Cu^(+)occurs in the glass as the R value of the glass *** transformation can effectively reduce the concentration quenching phenomenon of Cu^(+)and improve the fluorescence luminescence intensity of the glass ***,the samples were found to have luminescence tunability as well as good thermal stability.
