A Parallel-type Load Damping Factor Controller for Frequency Regulation in Power Systems with High Penetration of Renewable Energy Sources

Renewable energy sources(RESs)are rapidly devel-oping and their substitution for traditional power generation poses significant challenges to the frequency regulation in pow-er *** load damping factor D characterizes the active power of load that changes with power system frequency,which is an important factor influencing the frequency ***-ever,the value of D is small,resulting in the limitation in fre-quency regulation of the power *** paper proposes a parallel-type load damping factor controller to enhance load damping factor by utilizing static var generators(SVGs)in ***,it discusses the configuration method for the relevant parameters of the controller,evaluates its frequen-cy regulation capability,investigates the impact of large-scale application of the controller on static and dynamic loads,and conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the impact of the damp-ing factor control process on the voltage stability of the main *** large-scale application of the proposed controller can significantly improve the frequency regulation capability,and al-most have no influence on the working status of the *** can also significantly improve the dynamic performance of system *** proposed controller can provide technical sup-port for the frequency regulation of new power systems with high proportion of RESs.

A composite was created by incorporating the quantum dot-enhanced SiO_(2)nanoparticles within this *** on this composite,a temperature-controlled fluorescent probe for DCP was developed.A meticulous examination of this probe revealed its attributes and factors affecting its *** using temperature modulation,the probe was adept at detecting DCP concentrations ranging between 1.0×10^(-6)and 9.0×10^(-6)mol/*** a probe offers remarkable selectivity,repeatability,and robust stability,so that the detection of DCP can be carried out at different temperatures,and a fast,reliable,sensitive and low-cost intelligent detection method is realized.

MPI/OpenMP-Based Parallel Solver for Imprint Forming Simulation

In this research,we present the pure open multi-processing(OpenMP),pure message passing interface(MPI),and hybrid MPI/OpenMP parallel solvers within the dynamic explicit central difference algorithm for the coining process to address the challenge of capturing fine relief features of approximately 50 *** such precision demands the utilization of at least 7 million tetrahedron elements,surpassing the capabilities of traditional serial programs previously *** mitigate data races when calculating internal forces,intermediate arrays are introduced within the OpenMP *** helps ensure proper synchronization and avoid conflicts during parallel ***,in the MPI implementation,the coins are partitioned into the desired number of *** division allows for efficient distribution of computational tasks across multiple *** simulation examples are conducted to compare the three solvers with serial programs,evaluating correctness,acceleration ratio,and parallel *** results reveal a relative error of approximately 0.3%in forming force among the parallel and serial solvers,while the predicted insufficient material zones align with experimental ***,speedup ratio and parallel efficiency are assessed for the coining process *** pureMPI parallel solver achieves a maximum acceleration of 9.5 on a single computer(utilizing 12 cores)and the hybrid solver exhibits a speedup ratio of 136 in a cluster(using 6 compute nodes and 12 cores per compute node),showing the strong scalability of the hybrid MPI/OpenMP programming *** approach effectively meets the simulation requirements for commemorative coins with intricate relief patterns.

Non-intrusive load monitoring is a technique for monitoring the operating conditions of electrical appliances by collecting the aggregated electrical information at the household power *** several studies on the mining of unique load characteristics,few studies have extensively considered the high computational burden and sample *** on lowfrequency sampling data,a non-intrusive load monitoring algorithm utilizing the graph total variation(GTV)is proposed in this *** algorithm can effectively depict the load state without the need for prior ***,the combined Kmeans clustering algorithm and graph signals are used to build concise and accurate graph structures as load *** GTV representing the internal structure of the graph signal is introduced as the optimization model and solved using the augmented Lagrangian iterative *** introduction of the difference operator reduces the computing cost and addresses the inaccurate reconstruction of the graph *** low-frequency sampling data,the algorithm only requires a little prior data and no training,thereby reducing the computing *** conducted using the reference energy disaggregation dataset and almanac of minutely power dataset demonstrated the stable superiority of the algorithm and its low computational burden.

Numerical study on critical flow velocity of ice slurry in the pipe of ice source heat pump system

The traditional evaporator of water source heat pump system is easy to freeze when the water source temperature is too low in winter.A novel ice source heat pump system is proposed,which can use low temperature surface water to supply heat to *** of the key problems for safe transportation is velocity range of ice slurry in ice outlet *** order to study the critical flow velocity of ice slurry in the pipe,an Euler model of horizontal straight pipe and 90°elbow pipe were established by Fluent *** influence of five factors on the critical flow velocity of two kinds of pipes,including initial ice packing fraction,ice particle size,pipe diameter,length of straight pipe and radius curvature of elbow was *** found that the initial ice content should be controlled from 10%to 15%.The inlet flow rate was 20%higher than the critical flow rate under the most unfavorable *** particle size was less than 0.2 *** total length of ice discharge pipeline was less than 50 *** radius of the bend should be met the minimum requirements of the specification of the pipe used.

High-efficiency ultrasonic assisted drilling of CFRP/Ti stacks under non-separation type and dry conditions

In this study,to address the low efficiency for conventional ultrasonic-assisted drlling(UAD)of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and titanium alloy(CFRP/Ti)stacks,feasibility experiments of non-separation UAD,in which continuous cutting between the tool and the workpiece occurs at a high feed rate,are carried *** experimental results indicate that,compared to conventional separation UAD,the non-separation UAD effectively reduces the cutting forces by 24.2%and 1.9%for CFRP stage and 22.1%and 2.6%for the Ti stage at the feed rates of 50 and 70μm/r,***,the non-separation UAD significantly improves hole quality,including higher hole diameter accuracy,lower hole surface roughness,and less hole *** addition,the non-separation UAD can decrease adhesive tool *** study demonstrates that,compared to conventional drilling(CD),the non-separation UAD can effectively improve drilling quality and tool life while maintaining high efficiency.

New model of linkage evolution for the transtensional fault systems in the Nanpu Sag of Bohai Bay Basin: Insight from seismic interpretation and analogue modelling

The evolution of faults within the same stress field is frequently influenced by numerous factors,involving the reactivation of pre-existing structures, stress transmission through ductile detachment layers, and the growth, interaction, as well as linkage of new fault segments. This study analyses a complex multi-phase oblique extension fault system in the Nanpu Sag(NPS) of the Bohai Bay Basin(BBB),China. High-resolution three-dimensional(3D) seismic data and analogue modelling indicate that the oblique extensional reactivation of pre-existing structures governs the sequential arrangement of fault segments in the caprock, and they dip synthetically to the reactivated fault at depth. During the NW-SE extension in the Eocene, the predominant movement of the pre-existing fault is strike-slip. Subsequently,during the N-S extension since the Oligocene, inclined at *** the pre-existing fault, forming splay fault segments and ultimately creating large en-echelon arcuate faults linked by relay ramps. Using fault throw-distance(T-D) and laser scanning, we reconstructed the fault evolution model of oblique extension reactivation in the presence of a ductile detachment basement. Our study illustrates that the arcuate faults can be categorized into linear master fault segments controlled by pre-existing structures, bending splay faults in the termination zone, and normal fault segments responding to the regional stress *** interaction between faults occurs among normal faults and strike-slip faults, and the kinematic unification of the two fault systems is accomplished in the intersection zone. As the faults continue to evolve, the new fault segments tend to relinquish the control of pre-existing structures and concentrate more on the development of planar and continuous major faults. The ductile detachment layer significantly contributes to the uniform distribution of strain, resulting in narrow shear zones and discontinuous normal faults in its absence.

Quantifying the age peaks,age ranges and weights of detrital ages based on the EM algorithm

Detrital geochronology fundamentally involves the quantification of major age ranges and their weights winthin an age *** study presents a streamlined approach,modeling the age distribution of detrital zircons using a normal mixture model,and employs the Expectation-Maximization(EM)algorithm for precise estimations.A method is introduced to automatically select appropriate initial mean values for EM algorithm,enhancing its efficacy in detrital *** process entails multiple trials with varying numbers of age components leading to diverse k-component *** model with the lowest Bayesian Information Criterion(BIC)is identified as the most *** accurate component number and weight determination,a substantial sample size(n>200)is advisable. Our findings based on both synthetic and empirical datasets confirm that the normal mixture model,refined by the EM algorithm,reliably identifies key age parameters with minimal *** a kind of probability density estimator,the normal mixture model offers a novel visualization tool for detrital data and an alternative foundation for KDE in calculating existing similarity *** focus of this study is the critical examination of quantitative metrics for comparing detrital zircon age *** a case study,this study demonstrates that metrics based on empirical cumulative probability distribution(such as K-S and Kuiper statistics)may lead to erroneous *** employment of the Kullback-Leibler(KL)divergence,a metric grounded in probability density estimation,is *** critical values,simulated via the Monte Carlo method,provide more objective benchmarks for these quantitative metrics. All methodologies discussed are encapsulated in a series of MATLAB scripts,available as open-source code and a standalone application,facilitating wider adoption and application in the field.

Fracture behavior and mechanism of highly fragmented steel cylindrical shell under explosive loading

An in-depth understanding of the fracture behavior and mechanism of metallic shells under internal explosive loading can help develop material designs for warheads and regulate the quantity and mass distribution of the fragments *** study investigated the fragmentation performance of a new high-carbon silicon-manganese(HCSiMn)steel cylindrical shell through fragment recovery *** with the conventional 45Cr steel shell,the number of small mass fragments produced by the HCSi Mn steel shell was significantly increased with a scale parameter of 0.57 g fitted by the Weibull distribution *** fragmentation process of the HCSi Mn shell exhibited more brittle tensile fracture characteristics,with the microcrack damage zone on the outer surface being the direct cause of its high *** the one hand,the doping of alloy elements resulted in grain refinement by forming metallographic structure of tempered sorbite,so that microscopic intergranular fracture reduces the characteristic mass of the fragments;on the other hand,the distribution of alloy carbides can exert a"pinning"effect on the substrate grains,causing more initial cracks to form and propagate along the brittle carbides,further improving the shell *** the killing power radius for light armored vehicles was slightly reduced by about 6%,the dense killing radius of HCSiMn steel projectile against personnel can be significantly increased by about 26%based on theoretical *** results provided an experimental basis for high fragmentation warhead design,and to some extent,revealed the correlation mechanism between metallographic structure and shell fragmentation.
