Rotavirus VP7 epitope chimeric proteins elicit cross-immunoreactivity in guinea pigs

VP7 of group A rotavirus(RVA) contains major neutralizing epitopes. Using the antigenic protein VP6 as the vector, chimeric proteins carrying foreign epitopes have been shown to possess good immunoreactivity and immunogenicity. In the present study, using modified VP6 as the vector,three chimeric proteins carrying epitopes derived from VP7 of RVA were constructed. The results showed that the chimeric proteins reacted with anti-VP6 and with SA11 and Wa virus *** from guinea pigs inoculated with the chimeric proteins recognized VP6 and VP7 of RVA and protected mammalian cells from SA11 and Wa infection in vitro. The neutralizing activities of the antibodies against the chimeric proteins were significantly higher than those against the vector protein VP6 F. Thus, development of chimeric vaccines carrying VP7 epitopes using VP6 as a vector could be a promising alternative to enhance immunization against RVAs.

The disease symptoms recognized as‘Anthracnose’are caused by Colletotrichum *** lead to large-scale strawberry(Fragaria×ananassa Duchesne)losses worldwide in terms of both quality and *** is known regarding the mechanisms underlying the genetic variations in the strawberry–Colletotrichum *** this work,Colletotrichum gloeosporioides(***)infection was characterized in two varieties exhibiting different susceptibilities,and the involvement of salicylic acid(SA)was *** microscopic observation showed that *** conidia germinated earlier and faster on the leaf surface of the susceptible cultivar compared with the less-susceptible *** PR genes were differentially expressed,with higher-amplitude changes observed in the less-susceptible *** less-susceptible cultivar contained a higher level of basal SA,and the SA levels increased rapidly upon infection,followed by a sharp decrease before the necrotrophic *** SA pretreatment reduced susceptibility and elevated the internal SA levels in both varieties,which were sharply reduced in the susceptible cultivar upon *** less-susceptible cultivar also displayed a more sensitive and marked increase in the transcripts of NB-LRR genes to ***,and SA pretreatment differentially induced transcript accumulation in the two varieties during ***,SA directly inhibited the germination of *** conidia;NB-LRR transcript accumulation in response to SA pretreatment was both dose-and *** results demonstrate that the less-susceptible cultivar showed reduced conidia *** contribution of SA might involve microbial isolate-specific sensitivity to SA,cultivar/tissue-specific SA homeostasis and signaling,and the sensitivity of R genes and the related defense network to SA and pathogens.

Polyurethane elastomers with covalent adaptable networks(PU-CANs)based on the dynamic urethane bond have attracted remarkable attention owing to their reprocessability,adaptability,and ***,it is still a formidable challenge to achieve excellent dynamics at low temperatures since the urethane bond energy is usually ***,a fluorinated phenolic polyurethane(FPPU)elastomer with CANs based on phenol±carbamate bonds was successfully designed and ***,the effects of fluorine atoms on the mechanical properties,thermal stability,reprocessability,and self-healability,surface free energy,and hydrophobicity of the prepared elastomers were systematically *** FPPU elastomer showed notch-insensitivity,remarkable self-healable efficiency(98%),low dynamic dissociation temperature(60℃),excellent reprocessability,and low surface energy(62 MJ m^(-2))compared with non-fluorinated counterpart phenolic polyurethane elastomer(APPU).Based on the above-mentioned features,FPPU was selected as an elastic substrate to assemble into a triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)to harvest energy from natural *** TENG exhibited an excellent electrical output performance with a peak open-circuit voltage of 103 V,a peak short-circuit current of 4.7μA and a peak short-circuit charge of 43 *** addition,the TENG possessed high selfcleaning and reprocessing ***,a stretchable and self-healing composite conductor based on FPPU was fabricated for flexible electronic devices.
