Effects of Different Compound Trace Element Premixed Materials on Beef Cattle Production Performance and Anti-oxidation Capacity

In this study,the effects of two types of premixed materials with different combinations of trace elements on the production performance and antioxidant capacity of simmental beef cattle were *** healthy simmental beef cattle of similar weight(approximately 330 kg),the same age(12 months),without castration,and a good physique were divided into three groups,with five beef cattle in each *** of Group Ⅰ beef cattle was supplemented with a commercially marketed 5% compound trace element premixture for fine beef *** of Group Ⅱ beef cattle was supplemented with a 5% compound microelement premixture for beef cattle that was designed to address local nutrient deficiencies and *** the blank control group,the beef cattle were not fed a *** pretest period was 15 days,and the test period was divided into prefattening(45 days)and postfattening(45 days)*** weight and body size indices were recorded at 1,2 and 3 months,and blood samples were collected *** Group Ⅰ,the daily weight gain increased significantly by 15.7% compared with that of the control *** largest daily weight gain was in Group Ⅱ,which increased by 31.6% compared with that in the *** the test period of 90 days,the body size indices of the three different groups increased in different months,with significant increases in the indices for both test groups compared with those of the *** Group Ⅰ,the activity of CP,the total activity of SOD and Cu-Zn-SOD increased significantly(p<0.05)compared with those in the control group,with a highly significant increase observed in GSH-PX activity(p<0.01).In Group Ⅱ,the increases in the activity of CP and the total activity of SOD and Cu-Zn-SOD were highly significant compared with those in the control group(p<0.01).In addition,a significant increase was observed in GSH-PX activity(p<0.05).Based on pretest results,the concentrations of Cu,Zn,Mo,Mn,Se and Co in the blood of experimental beef cat

Preliminary Study on Biological Control of Mycotoxin Contamination in Agricultural Products and Its Mechanism

Aflatoxin is the most powerful carcinogen and highly toxic mycotoxin known in nature. It can cause serious toxin pollution to agricultural products, foods and fodders, and is extremely harmful to human and animal health. For aflatoxin pollution, the emphasis is on the control of source, and biological control is favored by scientists because of its advantages of environmental protection and ecological safety. According to the morphology, color and appearance of microbial colonies isolated from maize kernels, 300 bacterial strains were obtained from main maize-producing areas including Tangshan City, Handan City, Shijiazhuang City and Cangzhou City. Two biocontrol bacterial strains(B120 and B65) having a strong control effect on aflatoxins were screened. After identification by molecular biology and physical and chemical properties, the two biocontrol bacterial strains were identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Their effects on spore germination, mycelial growth and toxin degradation of Aspergillus flavus were investigated. The results showed that strains B120 and B65 could significantly inhibit the spore germination and mycelial growth of A. flavus and reduce aflatoxin production. This study provides a new way to prevent and control the pollution control of aflatoxins in agricultural products.

Investigation on the Growth and Development of Muscle Fibers in Black Goat Lambs

[Objectives]This study was conducted to analyze and study the growth and development of muscle fibers at different stages,so as to provide a theoretical basis for subsequent research on developmental biology and nutritional regulation.[Methods]The body weights of black goat lambs in groups at different month age(0-6 months old)were recorded,and the diameter,area and number of muscle fibers were measured by tissue section and hematoxylin-eosin *** curves of body weight and muscle fiber growth and development of black goat lambs were drawn.[Results]The black goat lambs maintained a high absolute growth intensity of 2.95-4.35 kg/30 d throughout the rearing cycle,and the body weight continued to increase significantly,while the relative growth coefficient decreased from 93.05%at the age of 30 d to 13.83%at the age of 180 *** diameter and area of muscle fibers in black goat lambs showed obvious"three-stage"growth and development characteristics,and showed different trends of gender advantages in different stages.[Conclusions]This study will help to further optimize the key supporting technologies for production and promote the diversified and comprehensive development of the mutton sheep industry in Sichuan Province.

BackgroundIn the normal life cycle of the parasite(Echinococcus multilocularis)that causes alveolar echinococcosis,domestic and wild carnivores act as definitive hosts,and rodents act as intermediate *** presented study contributes to the research on the distribution and transmission pattern of *** in China having identified sheep as an unusual intermediate host taking part in the domestic transmission of alveolar echinococcosis in Gansu Province,*** 2020 to 2021,nine whitish different cyst-like were collected from the liver of sheep in Gansu Province for examination.A near complete mitochondrial(mt)genome and selected nuclear genes were amplified from the cyst-like lesion for *** confirm the status of the specimen,comparative analysis with reference sequences,phylogenetic analysis,and network analysis were *** isolates displayed≥98.87%similarity to *** NADH dehydrogenase sub-unit 1(nad1)(894 bp)reference sequences deposited in ***,amplification of the nad4 and nad2 genes also confirmed all nine samples as *** with>99.30%***,three nuclear genes,pepck(1545 bp),elp-exons VII and VIII(566 bp),and elp-exon IX(256 bp),were successfully amplified and sequenced for one of the isolates with 98.42%similarity,confirming the isolates were correctly identified as *** analysis also correctly placed the isolates with other *** a result of the discovery of *** in an unusual intermediate host,which is considered to have the highest zoonotic potential,the result clearly demonstrated the necessity for expanded surveillance in the area.

There is a lack of information concerning the prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii infection in Liaoning cashmere goats from northeastern China. In the present study, a total of 650 serum samples were collected from 5 counties between May and June 2012 and antibodies to T. gondii were detected by indirect haemagglutination assay(IHA). 58(8.92%) of them were detected positive for antibodies to T. gondii in serum samples, with antibody titres ranging from 1:64 to 1:1024. Seropositive samples were distributed in all 5 counties and seroprevalences in Kuandian county(15.11%, 21/139, 95% confidence interval [CI], 9.15% to 21.06%) were statistically different with other 4 counties(Gaizhou, Huanren, Xiuyan, Liaoyang), and the seroprevalences difference between Xiuyan county(11.81%, 15/127, 95% confidence interval [CI], 6.20% to 17.42%) and other 2 counties(Huanren, Liaoyang) was significant different(P<0.05). To our knowledge, this is the first report of the seroprevalence of T. gondii exposure in Liaoning cashmere goat in China. Our results indicated that Liaoning cashmere goat could be a potential reservoir for the transmission of T. gondii in China.

Comparative Analysis of Nutrient Components of Yak Milk from Different Regions

[ Objective] To analyze the nutrient components of yak milk from different regions and provide a theoretical basis for further development and utilization of yak milk. [ Method] A total of 150 yak milk samples were collected from Tianzhu county, Maqu county and Tianjun county, and 90 yak milk samples were collected from three different yak farms in Tianzhu county. The content of milk protein, milk fat, fat solid, non-fat solid and lactose, as well as the density, freezing point and acidity were determined, respectively. [ Result] The milk protein content and milk fat content had significant differences between three regions. With the increasing altitude, the milk protein and milk fat were increased, but the content of fat solid, non-fat solid and lactose, density, freezing point and acidity had no obviously regular change. The milk protein content and milk fat content had no significant difference between three yak farms in Tianzhu county. [ Conclusion] The altitude may affect the milk protein content and milk fat content of yak milk.

Effects of Sub-chronic Intoxication of 1,8-cineole on Blood Biochemical Indexes of Mice

[ Objective] Effects of sub-chronic intoxication of 1,8-cineole on body weights, routine blood indexes and biochemical indexes of mice were investigated. [Method] One hundred and sixty mice with body weights of 15 -17 g were randomly divided into four groups （forty mice per group）. Mice were injected to 1, 8 - cineole with doses of 192.45,64. 15 and 21.38 mg/kg body weight （ test groups） and the water solution of tween-80 with a volume fraction of 0.5% （ control group） respectively. Each mouse was administered orally at the dose of 0.2 mL per 10 g body weight once a day consecutively for 90 d. The body weight, routine blood indexes and serum biochemical indexes of mice were determined on the 30^th d, 60^th d, 90^th d and the 30^th d after stopping the administration of 1,8-cineole. [ Result] The effects of 1, 8-cineole on the body weight, routine blood indexes and serum biochemical indexes of mice with the doses of 64.15 and 21.38 mg/kg body weight had no statistically significant difference compared with the control group （P 〉0.05 ）. 1, 8-cineole with the dose of 192.45 mg/kg body weight exhibited different influences on routine blood indexes and serum biochemical indexes of mice after the oral administration of 1,8-cineole for 60 d and 90 d, and statistically significant differences in many blood biochemical indexes were observed （P 〈 0.05 ）. However, the differences in routine blood indexes and serum biochemical indexes were not statistically significant between the test groups and the control group at the 30＇h d after stopping the administration of 1, 8-cineole （ P 〉 0.05）. [Condusion] 1,8-cineole had sub-chronic oral toxicity to mice. The no observed adverse effect level （NOAEL） of 1,8-cineolc was 64.15 mg/kg body weight and the lowest observed adverse effect level （LOAEL） of 1,8-cineole was 192.45 mg/kg body weight. Effects of 1, 8-cineole on blood biochemical indexes of mice were in short term and reversible.

Effects of Different Alkaloids in Coptis chinensis on Inhibiting TGEV Proliferation

[Objectives]To study the effects of different alkaloids in Coptis chinensis on inhibiting the proliferation of Transmissible gastroenteritis virus(TGEV).[Methods]The components and content of the main alkaloids in the extract of *** were *** main alkaloids were selected as drugs to inhibit the proliferation of *** maximum non-toxic concentration of Columbamine,Jatrorrhizine,Epiberberine,Coptisine,Palmatine,and Berberine was *** protective rate of each drug on TGEV-infected ST cells was determined,and the transcriptional inhibitory effect of the drug on TGEV N gene was detected by fluorescent quantitative PCR.[Results]The extract of *** mainly contains 6 alkaloids:Columbamine,Jatrorrhizine,Epiberberine,Coptisine,Palmatine,and Berberine,accounting for 2.03%,8.88%,9.21%,15.07%,14.63%,and 50.18%,*** the range of the safe concentration,Jatrorrhizine,Palmatine,and Coptisine had better protective effects on ST cells infected with TGEV;compared with the Columbamine group,the cell protection rate was significantly different(P<0.05);compared with the Berberine group,the difference was extremely significant(P<0.01).The Coptisine and Palmatine groups had significant inhibitory effects on the transcription of TGEV N gene,and the difference was extremely significant compared with the virus group(P<0.05).[Conclusions]Jatrorrhizine and Palmatine in *** are the main components to inhibit the proliferation of TGEV.
