Automatic gauge control(AGC in the article)is the key technology of product thickness accuracy and flatness quality in modern cold rolling mill.Most traditional AGC control algorithms need stable external system conditions and hard to stabilize under complex interference that meets coverage requirements.This paper presents a new anti-interference strategy for AGC control of 20-Hi cold reversing mill.The proposed algorithm introduces a united dynamic weights algorithm of feed forward-mass flow to avoid the complex interference problem in AGC control,the relevant control strategy is provided to eliminate the adverse effects.At the same time,the D-value between feed forward-mass flow pre-computation and thickness measurement deviation is dynamic compared,the final gap position regulation is calculated by developing a set of united dynamic weights between feed forward control and mass flow control.Finally,the output of controllers is sent to actuator though a constant rate smoothing.The proposed strategy is compared with conventional AGC control on Experimental platform and project application,the results show that the proposed strategy is more stable than comparison method and majority of system uncertainty produced by mentioned interference is significantly eliminated.

The use of low-grade,refractory and composite paragenetic mineral resources is necessary for overcoming the shortage of iron ore resources in China.As a solution to the treatment of such iron ores,the direct reduction of carbon-bearing pellets can ensure complete iron removal and the effective enrichment of other high-value elements.Thus,this technology enjoys a broad application prospect.However,there are several problems with low-temperature reduction,such as low iron ore reaction efficiency,long reaction time,and high energy consumption.To improve the low-temperature carbothermic reduction efficiency of iron ores,a static magnetic field with magnetic induction intensity of 1.0 T was introduced.An isothermal reduction experiment was conducted at 1223 K to study the low-temperature self-reduction characteristics of carbon-bearing pellets of Bayan Obo lean iron ores in the static magnetic field.Also,the acting mechanism of the magnetic field was explored from the perspective of the reduction process,reaction efficiency,phase composition,microstructure changes,and dynamic behavior of iron ores.The results showed that the magnetic field can increase the low-temperature reduction rate of carbon-bearing pellets of Bayan Obo lean iron ores.Under the conditions of reduction temperature of 1223 K,magnetic induction intensity of 1.0 T,and reduction time of 60 min,the reduction degree was 92.42%,1.65 times that without a magnetic field.The magnetic field promoted the replacement of Ca^(2+)and Fe^(2+),so that the hard-to-reduce iron-bearing silicates were reduced in the order of Fe2SiO_(4)→(Ca,Na)FeSiO_(4)→FeO→Fe.The magnetic field enabled loose minerals,more pores and cracks,and changes in the growth morphology and distribution position of metallic iron.Compared with the case under the non-magnetic condition,the metallic iron precipitated from the slag phase in a foliated shape,separated from the matrix iron oxides,and grew up at the junction of the slag phase and coke.The magnetic field significantly increased the interf

The previous work found that the additive kaolin could scavenge not only sodium(Na)but also calcium(Ca)and magnesium(Mg),which is the important ash fluxing agents in low rank coal combustion.Such scavenging effects of kaolin on fine ash formation were studied in the present work.A typical Zhundong coal and its blends with kaolin at dosages of 1,2 and 4 wt%were combusted in an electrically heated drop tube furnace(DTF)at 1300℃.The fine ashes generated were collected and size segregated by a low pressure impactor(LPI).The morphology and chemical composition of fine ash were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy equipped with an energydispersive spectrometer(SEM-EDS).In addition,char/ash particles were sampled at various positions of DTF to elucidate how kaolin additive affected the fine ash formation process.The results further showed that apart from the scavenging of volatile Na,kaolin additive could also strongly scavenge the refractory Ca,Mg and Fe in the fine ash during Zhundong coal combustion,which transformed the sintered particles with irregular shape into melted spherical particles,and finally resulted in the considerable decrease of these elements in both PM_(0.4)and PM_(0.4-10)by melting and agglomeration.The close contacts between kaolin particles and coal resulted from physically mixing were a key factor responsible for the reaction of kaolin with the refractory Ca,Mg and Fe.

It’s systematically analyzed that energy efficiency optimization technology has been applied in the field of steel industry. The fundamental principal of energy optimization technology is reasonably matching the quality and price of energy as well as energy-dominated systematic energy efficiency management system. Specific measures of energy optimization have been put forward, which include taking high efficiency utilized technology such as energy saving from the original, the production process and recycling of waste heat and waste energy etc., integrating and configuring energy in an optimized way of high efficiency and excellent quality, fully realizing the function of different energy in order to optimize the utilization sequence of energy, and improving the energy medium system by themselves. Finally it is clearly pointed out that the steel industry should pay more consideration about the great deal of energy system which they have used now and an ideal energy evaluation methodology and standard should be built as soon as possible if they want to take full usage of the real role and function of energy in all aspects.

The composition evolution and deformation of different non-metallic inclusions in a bearing steel during hot rolling were investigated by the automatic detection and the improved non-aqueous electrolysis method.Manganese sulfide,MnS–TiN,and liquid CaO–Al_(2)O_(3) inclusions were elongated while TiN and MgO-Al_(2)O_(3) were fractured during hot rolling.The CaS–MnS phase in the MgO–Al_(2)O_(3)–CaS–MnS inclusion was separated from the inclusion,leading to the formation of CaS–MnS type clusters.Meanwhile,the CaS and MnS contents in oxide-containing inclusions decreased while the MgO and Al_(2)O_(3) contents increased after hot rolling.The deformability of different inclusions in the bearing steel was quantitatively compared and discussed.

Precipitation behaviors of X80 acicular ferrite pipeline steel

The precipitation behaviors of X80 acicular ferrite pipeline steel were investigated by using transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and energy dispersive spectroscopy （EDS）. The results show that dendritic precipitates in the as-cast steel slabs precipitate mainly in grain boundaries, and these dendritic precipitates dissolve and re-precipitate to two kinds of carbonitrides： Ti- and Nb-rich （Ti, Nb）（C, N） carbonitrides during reheating. Four types of precipitates mainly exist in the hot rolled plate： Ti-rich carbonitrides resulted from the dendritic carbonitrides undissolved during the reheating process; Ti-rich carbonitrides re-precipitated along austenite grain boundaries during the re-heating process; NbC carbides mainly heterogeneously nucleated on the small pre-existing Nb-rich carbonitrides in the hot rolling process; and NbC carbides precipitated on dislocations during hot rolling.

In the hydrogen network with the minimum hydrogen utility flow rate,the pinch appears at the point with zero hydrogen surplus,while the hydrogen surpluses of all the other points are positive.In the hydrogen purity profiles,the pinch can only lie at the sink-tie-line intersecting the source purity profile.According to the alternative distribution of the negative and positive regions,the effect of the purification to the hydrogen surplus is analyzed.The results show that when the purification is applied,the pinch point will appear neither above the purification feed nor between the initial pinch point and the purification feed,no matter the purification feed lies above or below the initial pinch point.This is validated by two case studies.

The concept of steel sheet glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)composite bar(SSGCB)was put forward.An optimization plan was proposed in the combined form of SSGCB.The composite principle,material selection,and SSGCB preparation technology have been described in detail.Three-dimensional finite element analysis was adopted to perform the combination form optimization of different steel core structures and different steel core contents based on the mechanical properties.Mechanical tests such as uniaxial tensile,shear,and compressive tests were carried out on SSGCB.Parametric analysis was conducted to investigate the influence of steel content on the mechanical properties of SSGCB.The results revealed that the elastic modulus of SSGCB had improvements and increased with the rise of steel content.Shear strength was also increased with the addition of steel content.Furthermore,the yield state of SSGCB was similar to the steel bar,both of which indicated a multi-stage yield phenomenon.The compressive strength of SSGCB was lower than that of GFRP bars and increased with the increase of the steel core content.Stress-strain curves of SSGCB demonstrated that the nonlinear-stage characteristics of SSGCB-8 were much more obvious than other bars.

On the basis of the thermodynamic calculation of precipitation and considering the effect of strain on the precipitation behavior and chemical composition （Si and Mn）, the kinetics of precipitation from austenite has been investigated for different temperatures and strains. Nucleation theory and the solubility product of niobium, carbon, and nitrogen in austenite have been used to derive equations for the start time of precipitation as a function of temperature and composition. The value of n in Avrami equation was determined using the available experimental data from the published reports, which indicated that n is a constant independent of temperature and the end time of precipitation is a function of n and the start time of precipitation. The values of the start time and end time of precipitation predicted by the new model are compared with the experimental values and a good agreement was obtained between both.
