Resist Thermal Shock Through Viscoelastic Interface Encapsulation in Perovskite Solar Cells

Enhancing the lifetime of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is one of the essential challenges for their industrialization. Although the external encapsulation protects the perovskite device from the erosion of moisture and oxygen under various harsh conditions. However, the perovskite devices still undergo static and dynamic thermal stress during thermal and thermal cycling aging, respectively, resulting in irreversible damage to the morphology, component, and phase of stacked materials. Herein, the viscoelastic polymer polyvinyl butyral (PVB) material is designed onto the surface of perovskite films to form flexible interface encapsulation. After PVB interface encapsulation, the surface modulus of perovskite films decreases by nearly 50%, and the interface stress range under the dynamic temperature field (-40 to 85 degrees C) drops from -42.5 to 64.8 MPa to -14.8 to 5.0 MPa. Besides, PVB forms chemical interactions with FA+ cations and Pb2+, and the macroscopic residual stress is regulated and defects are reduced of the PVB encapsulated perovskite film. As a result, the optimized device's efficiency increases from 22.21% to 23.11%. Additionally, after 1500 h of thermal treatment (85 degrees C), 1000 h of damp heat test (85 degrees C & 85% RH), and 250 cycles of thermal cycling test (-40 to 85 degrees C), the devices maintain 92.6%, 85.8%, and 96.1% of their initial efficiencies, respectively. Viscoelastic PVB material is innovatively designed to form a flexible interface encapsulation. The Surface modulus and interface stress concentration zone are effectively alleviated. The stability breakthroughs in IEC 61215 (thermal treatment at 85 degrees C, damp heat test (85 degrees C & 85% RH), thermal cycling test (-40 to 85 degrees C)) has achieved through the systemic encapsulation by combining internal and external encapsulation. image

Micro-vibration suppression and compensation techniques for in-orbit satellite: A review

Micro-vibration is an important factor affecting the imaging quality and pointing accuracy of the in-orbit satellites. To address the problem of micro-vibration compensation, a general summary for modeling, analysis, suppression, and compensation approach should be outlined. In this review, micro-vibration characteristics and its impacts on the payloads are firstly analyzed. Afterwards, methods for micro-vibration measurement are provided. In detail, the principles and practical applications of these methods are introduced. Then, advanced technologies for micro-vibration suppression are summarized from micro-vibration source attenuation, transfer path optimization and sensitive load isolation. Two approaches have been found to be effective for micro-vibration compensation. The one is the Line-of-Sight (LOS) stabilization assisted with Inertial Reference Unit (IRU). The other is using image restoration technology to remove the blur caused by platform jitter. The compensation technique and research status of the two techniques are reviewed. This work will provide researchers with technical guidelines for micro-vibration suppression. The launch dynamics theory for multibody systems emerges as an innovative and efficacious approach for the study of launch dynamics, capable of addressing the challenges of complex modeling, diminished computational efficiency, and imprecise analyses of system dynamic responses found in the dynamics research of intricate multi-rigid-flexible body systems, such as self-propelled artillery. This advancement aims to enhance the firing accuracy and launch safety of self-propelled artillery. Recognizing the shortfall of overlooking the band engraving process in existing theories, this study introduces a novel coupling calculation methodology for the launch dynamics of a self-propelled artillery multibody system. This method leverages the ABAQUS subroutine interface VUAMP to compute the dynamic response of the projectile and barrel during the launch process of large-caliber self-propelled artillery. Additionally, it examines the changes in projectile resistance and band deformation in relation to projectile motion throughout the band engraving process. Comparative analysis of the computational outcomes with experimental data evidences that the proposed method offers a more precise depiction of the launch process of self-propelled artillery, thereby enhancing the accuracy of launch dynamics calculations for self-propelled artillery. Fabrication of micro spherulitic particles of carbamazepine-hesperetin cocrystal via QESD with enhanced manufacturability and dissolution

Granulation is an effective method for improving the flowability of drugs, particularly when they are in needle form. Carbamazepine-hesperetin (CBZ-HPE) cocrystal is a needle-like crystal with low solubility and poor flowability, which limits its application. To address this issue, this study aimed to obtain CBZHPE microspheres using the quasi-emulsion solvent diffusion (QESD) technique. The preparation process was monitored using polarized light microscopy, and the formation mechanism was elucidated using the radial distribution function (RDF). The microspheres were extensively characterized using PXRD, DSC, TGA, and SEM. Furthermore, the effects of surfactants, contents, and rotational speeds on the morphology and particle size distribution of microspheres were analyzed to determine the optimal experimental conditions. Based on these findings, naringenin and quercetin, the active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine, were chosen to successfully prepare CBZ-HPE multicomponent microspheres. This research provides a foundation for increasing drug powder properties and drug conjugation through the preparation of microspheres. Accelerating the Screening of Modified MA2Z4 Catalysts for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction by Deep Learning-Based Local Geometric Analysis

Machine learning (ML) integrated with density functional theory (DFT) calculations have recently been used to accelerate the design and discovery of single-atom catalysts (SACs) by establishing deep structure-activity relationships. The traditional ML models are always difficult to identify the structural differences among the single-atom systems with different modification methods, leading to the limitation of the potential application range. Aiming to the structural properties of several typical two-dimensional MA(2)Z(4)-based single-atom systems (bare MA(2)Z(4) and metal single-atom doped/supported MA(2)Z(4)), an improved crystal graph convolutional neural network (CGCNN) classification model was employed, instead of the traditional machine learning regression model, to address the challenge of incompatibility in the studied systems. The CGCNN model was optimized using crystal graph representation in which the geometric configuration was divided into active layer, surface layer, and bulk layer (ASB-GCNN). Through ML and DFT calculations, five potential single-atom hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts were screened from chemical space of 600 MA(2)Z(4)-based materials, especially V-1/HfSn2N4(S) with high stability and activity (Delta G(H*) is 0.06 eV). Further projected density of states (pDOS) analysis in combination with the wave function analysis of the SAC-H bond revealed that the SAC-dz(2) orbital coincided with the H-s orbital around the energy level of -2.50 eV, and orbital analysis confirmed the formation of sigma bonds. This study provides an efficient multistep screening design framework of metal single-atom catalyst for HER systems with similar two-dimensional supports but different geometric configurations.

Superior Anodic Lithium Storage in Core-Shell Heterostructures Composed of Carbon Nanotubes and Schiff-Base Covalent Organic Frameworks

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) after undergoing the superlithiation process promise high-capacity anodes while suffering from sluggish reaction kinetics and low electrochemical utilization of redox-active sites. Herein, integrating carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with imine-linked covalent organic frameworks (COFs) was rationally executed by in-situ Schiff-base condensation between 1,1 '-biphenyl]-3,3 ',5,5 '-tetracarbaldehyde and 1,4-diaminobenzene in the presence of CNTs to produce core-shell heterostructured composites (CNT@COF). Accordingly, the redox-active shell of COF nanoparticles around one-dimensional conductive CNTs synergistically creates robust three-dimensional hybrid architectures with high specific surface area, thus promoting electron transport and affording abundant active functional groups accessible for electrochemical utilization throughout the whole electrode. Remarkably, upon the full activation with a superlithiation process, the as-fabricated CNT@COF anode achieves a specific capacity of 2324 mAh g-1, which is the highest specific capacity among organic electrode materials reported so far. Meanwhile, the superior rate capability and excellent cycling stability are also obtained. The redox reaction mechanisms for the COF moiety were further revealed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy in conjunction with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, involving the reversible redox reactions between lithium ions and C=N groups and gradual electrochemical activation of the unsaturated C=C bonds within COFs. Coupling conductive carbon nanotubes with redox-active imine-linked covalent organic frameworks generates core-shell heterostructures capable of building 3D hierarchical architectures with fully exposed active sites for boosting anodic lithium storage. image

Study on detecting main ingredients of silicone rubber based on terahertz spectrum

The authors investigated the ingredient detection technique of silicone rubber based on the Terahertz spectrum. For this purpose, 18 diverse high-temperature vulcanised silicone rubber (HTVSR) formulations were customised, 8 of which are used as calibration set while the rest 10 as prediction set. Based on the Beer-Lambert Law, the partial-least-square (PLS) regression model and the least-squares support-vector machines (LS-SVM) regression model were used to yield the relationships between the absorption spectrums and the content percentages of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), alumina trihydrate (ATH), and silica in HTVSR. The results showed that for the formulations tested, the prediction accuracy of all three main ingredients by the PLS regression model could be improved by changing the spectrum range from 0.2-4 to 0.5-2 THz. If the data were pre-processed by the Savitzky-Golay smoothing method or multiplicative scatter correction method, the prediction accuracy of PDMS could be further enhanced. However, this would lead to a slight decrease in the prediction accuracy of ATH. For the LS-SVM regression model, the radial basis function (RBF) kernel and the linear kernel were studied. It was found that the prediction accuracy of both kernels was better than that of the PLS regression model. with the LS-SVM regression model using the RBF kernel, the correlated coefficients of PDMS and ATH in the prediction set could be up to 0.9915 and 0.9742, respectively.

High-pressure capacity expansion and water injection mechanism and indicator curve model for fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoirs

water injection for oil displacement is one of the most effective ways to develop fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoirs. with the increase in the number of rounds of water injection, the development effect gradually fails. The emergence of high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection technology allows increased production from old wells. Although high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection technology has been implemented in practice for nearly 10 years in fractured-vuggy reservoirs, its mechanism remains unclear, and the water injection curve is not apparent. In the past, evaluating its effect could only be done by measuring the injection-production volume. In this study, we analyze the mechanism of high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection. we propose a fluid exchange index for high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection and establish a discrete model suitable for high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection curves in fractured-vuggy reservoirs. we propose the following mechanisms: replenishing energy, increasing energy, replacing energy, and releasing energy. The above mechanisms can be identified by the high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection curve of the well HA6X in the Halahatang Oilfield in the Tarim Basin. By solving the basic model, the relative errors of Reservoirs I and II are found to be 1.9% and 1.5%, respectively, and the application of field examples demonstrates that our proposed high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection indicator curve is reasonable and reliable. This research can provide theoretical support for high-pressure capacity expansion and water injection technology in fracture-vuggy carbonate reservoirs.

Hybrid-integrated 200 Gb/s REC-DML array transmitter based on photonic wire bonding technology

An 8-channel hybrid-integrated chip for 200 Gb/s (8 x 25 Gb/s) signal transmission has been demonstrated. The channels are all within the O-band, and with a spacing of 800 GHz. The core of this chip is a monolithic integrated multi-wavelength laser array of 8 directly-modulated distributed feedback (DFB) lasers. By using the reconstruction equivalent chirp technique, multi-wavelength integration and asymmetric phase shift structures are achieved in the laser array. The output laser beams of the array are combined by a planar light-wave circuit, which is hybrid-integrated with the laser array by photonic wire bonding. Experiment results of this transmitter chip show good single-mode working of each unit laser, with a side- mode suppression ratio above 50 dB, and the modulation bandwidth is above 20 GHz. Clear eye diagrams are obtained in the lasers for 25 Gb/s non-return-to-zero modulation, which implies a total 200 Gb/s transmission rate for the whole chip.

Arbitrary n- step phase-shifting Fourier single-pixel imaging

In this Letter, we innovatively present general analytical expressions for arbitrary n-step phase-shifting Fourier single-pixel imaging (FSI). we also design experiments capable of implementing arbitrary n-step phase-shifting FSI and compare the experimental results, including the image quality, for 3- to 6-step phase-shifting cases without loss of generality. These results suggest that, compared to the 4-step method, these FSI approaches with a larger number of steps exhibit enhanced robustness against noise while ensuring no increase in data-acquisition time. These approaches provide us with more strategies to perform FSI for different steps, which could offer guidance in balancing the tradeoff between the image quality and the number of steps encountered in the application of FSI.
