Aim:The aim of this study was to compare and investigate the tissue thickness at the maxillary and mandibular central incisors utilizing the probe visibility method and traditional way of measuring gingival thickness(GT)by endodontic ***:In 200 selected patients,the GT was measured at both the maxillary and mandibular anterior using an endodontic file after local infiltration at the mid-distance from the gingival margin to the mucogingival *** checkpoint of transition from thin to thick periodontal phenotype was determined by probe visibility method in the following age groups:Group A:21-30 years;Group B:31-40 years;Group C:41-50 years;and Group D:51-60 ***:GT varied from 0.3 to 1.9 *** translucency was observed up to the thickness of 0.7 *** 0.8 mm of GT,there was no probe ***:According to the present research,the gingiva appears transparent up to a thickness of around 0.7 *** checkpoint of transition between thin and thick periodontal phenotypes at both the maxillary and mandibular anterior was associated with a GT of 0.8 mm.

Introduction:The disruptions in the ectodermal layer during intrauterine growth in the process of the formation of epidermal ridges can be linked to the association between dermatoglyphics and abnormalities of the tooth and *** the genetic linkage of periodontal disease this study was hypothesized at observing the association of chronic periodontitis,aggressive periodontitis,and individuals with healthy periodontium as per the 1999 AAP classification of periodontitis with their fingerprint patterns and ridge *** and Methods:Patients belonging to an age cohort of 18-50 who visited the department of periodontics and implantology were included in the ***’periodontal status was determined and was enrolled in the study.A total of 114 subjects were compared,where 38 subjects belonged to the individual group of periodontal condition that are designated as Group A(healthy),Group B(chronic periodontitis),and Group C(aggressive periodontitis).A total of 1140 fingerprints were *** were analyzed and classified according to their patterns and also the ridges were ***:The comparison between three groups showed a statistically significant difference between increased percentage frequency of radial loops(28%)in chronic periodontitis and plain whorls(26.3%)in aggressive *** was a significant difference between ridge count among all the three groups,the highest being in healthy and the least between aggressive periodontal ***:Observations of the study show that there was a difference in fingerprint pattern between patients of all the three periodontal conditions indicating a link between epidermal ridges and condition of periodontium.

Advanced OER/HER electrocatalytic alternatives are crucial for the wide adaptation of green hydrogen ***,Ru/NiMnB spherical cluster pillar （SCP）,denoted as Ru/NiMnB,is synthesized using a combination of electro-deposition and hydrothermal *** investigation of Ru doping in the NiMnB matrix revealed significant improvements in electrocatalytic *** Ru/NiMnB SCPs demonstrate superior OER/HER activity with low overpotentials of 150 and 103 mV at 50mA/cm2in 1 M KOH,making them highly competitive with state-of-the-art ***,the Ru/NiMnB SCPs exhibit a low 2-E cell voltage of 2.80 V at ultra-high current density of 2,000 m A/cm2in 1 M KOH,outperforming the standard benchmark electrodes of RuO2||Pt/C,thereby positioning Ru/NiMnB as one of the best bifunctional *** SCPs exhibit exceptional high-current characteristics,stability and corrosion resistance,as evidenced by continuous operation at 1,000 mA/cm2high-current density for over 150 h in 6 M KOH at elevated temperatures under harsh industrial *** a small amount of Ru incorporation significantly enhances the electrocatalytic performances of NiMnB,attributed to increased active sites and improved intrinsic properties such as conductivity,adsorption/desorption capability and reaction ***,Ru/NiMnB SCPs present a promising bi-functional electrode concept for efficient green H2production.

Designing highly active and stable electrocatalysts of oxygen evolution reaction （OER） is one of the crucial *** this study,a novel OER electrocatalyst,NiFe-MIL-53 modified with ultra-low rhodium（Rh@NiFe-MIL-53）,is successfully prepared via the hydrothermal ***-situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveal that the doped Rh accelerates the phase transformation of NiFe-MIL-53 and the in-situ formed Rh@NiFeOOH is the actual active *** importantly,the enhanced reversibility of electrochemical reconstruction between NiFeOOH and NiFe（OH）2after doping Rh is beneficial for improving the electrochemical stability of the catalyst.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra show the strong electronic interaction between single-atom Rh and Ni/Fe in Rh@***,theoretical calculations confirm that the integration of single-atom Rh into the NiFeOOH successfully reduces the band gap,regulates the d-band center （εd）,accelerates the charge transfer,and optimizes the adsorption behavior of oxygen-containing intermediates,thereby lowering the energy barrier of rate-determining ***,the optimized Rh@NiFe-MIL-53 exhibits excellent OER activity （240 mV） with a small Tafel slope of 48.2 mV dec-1and long-term durability (over1270 h at 10 m A cm-2and 110 h at 200 mA cm-2).This work presents a new perspective on designing highly efficient OER electrocatalysts.

Background:Mass fatality incidents occur due to environmental,medical,vehicle,industrial,or terrorist events that can involve large numbers of *** of these victims is of utmost importance in these ***-beam computed tomography(CBCT)may be helpful in some forensic contexts,offering several advantages for postmortem forensic ***:The research study aims to evaluate the sexual dimorphism of the maxillary sinus and inter coronoid distance to estimate sex by using *** and Methods:In 40 CBCT scans of 20 males and 20 females,maxillary sinuses height,width and inter coronoid distances of mandible were measured for forensic *** high quality,reconstructed images ofbilateral maxillary sinuses,height,and width were measured,and in mandible,inter coronoid was measured in axial *** were tabulated and analyzed using an unpaired r-test and discriminant function analysis used to compare difierences in the measured parameters between males and ***:Mean values of inter coronoid in males and females are(♂=88.1,♀=78.1).The maxillary sinus right side height and width(♂=32.2,♀=24.6)(♂=19.7,♀=19.6)left side height and width(♂=32.7,♀=23.6)(♂=18.1,♀=17.8),respectively.A statistically significant(P<0.05)difference was found in maxillary sinus and inter coronoid distance between males and *** showed significantly larger dimensions of maxillary sinus and inter coronoid distance in males compared to *** correct predictive accuracy rate of sex detennination was 100% in females and 90% in males with overall accuracy of 95%.Conclusion:The present study showed the importance of maxillary sinus dimensions and inter coronoid distance in sex estimation using cone-beam computed tomography in forensic medicine.

Advances in the medical sciences along with rapid increase in the specialized and better treatment modalities, certainly prolonged the human life with a drastic increase in the number of elderly in the past few decades. Tooth loss is one of the manifestations of aging. Dentures and dental implants are the major prosthetic devices given to restore physiological and esthetic functions of oral tissues of edentulous or partially edentulous patients. Complete and partial dentures based on polymeric compositions are the most popular devices since the cost of dental implants and metal-base dentures are much higher. Among the polymers, poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) is the most commonly used material for this purpose. Although, this material is not ideal in every respect, it is the combination of qualities rather than one single desirable property that accounts for its popularity and usage. One of the main drawbacks of this material is considered to be its poor mechanical performance. There have been several attempts in the recent past to address the problem of inferior mechanical properties of these materials. Generally, there are three ways which have been investigated to improve the mechanical properties of denture bases;search for or development of an alternative material to PMMA;chemical modification of PMMA;and the reinforcement of PMMA. Present article is a review of types of fibres reinforced in denture prosthesis and their effects on mechanical properties of denture prosthesis.

The emerging trends in the combinatorial chemistry and drug design have led to the development of drug candidates with greater lipophilicity, high molecular weight and poor water solubility. Majority of the failures in new drug development have been attributed to poor water solubility of the drug. Issues associated with poor solubility can lead to low bioavailability resulting in suboptimal drug delivery. About 40% of drugs with market approval and nearly 90% of molecules in the discovery pipeline are poorly water-soluble. With the advent of various insoluble drug delivery technologies, the challenge to formulate poorly water soluble drugs could be achieved. Numerous drugs associated with poor solubility and low bioavailabilities have been formulated into successful drug products. Several marketed drugs were reformulated to improve ef fi cacy, safety and patient compliance. In order to gain marketing exclusivity and patent protection for such products, revitalization of poorly soluble drugs using insoluble drug delivery technologies have been successfully adopted by many pharmaceutical *** review covers the recent advances in the fi eld of insoluble drug delivery and business prospects.
