Effect of Nb-content on the corrosion resistance of Co-free high entropy alloys in chloride environment

this study investigated the effect of Nb-content on the corrosion behavior of the Al7Cr20Fe35-xNi35Mo3Nbx（x=0,1 and 2）high-entropy alloys in a *** results indicated that only the face centered cubic phase existed in the NbO and Nbl alloys,while the emergence of Laves phase was observed when Nb-content reached 2 at.%.the NbO and Nb1alloys exhibited pitting corrosion,while the NiAl-rich phase experienced localized preferential corrosion in the Nb2 *** electrochemical results revealed that the corrosion current density of the Nbx（x=0,1 and 2） alloys fell within the range of 10-8-10-7A·cm-2,with a pitting corrosion potential exceeding 700 ***,the Nb1 alloy exhibited the most impressive corrosion resistance,as its corrosion current density(7 × 10-8A·cm-2) was merely half that of 316LN stainless *** is attributed to its rapid passivation process,resulting in the development of a protective film characterized by an increased Cr2O3/Al2O3+Cr（OH）*** study highlighted that the addition of Nb contributed to gram refinement,decreased corrosion current density,and elevated pitting potential,favoring passivation and improving corrosion ***,excessive Nb-content resulted in the emergence of the Laves phase,inducing galvanic corrosion and diminishing resistance to corrosion.

Dispersion fuels,knowned for their excellent safety performance,are widely used in advanced reactors,such as hightemperature gas-cooled *** with deterministic methods,the Monte Carlo method has more advantages in the geometric modeling of stochastic *** explicit modeling method has high computational accuracy and high computational *** chord length sampling(CLS)method can improve computational efficiency by sampling the chord length during neutron transport using the matrix chord length?s probability density *** study shows that the excluded-volume effect in realistic stochastic media can introduce certain deviations into the CLS.A chord length correction approach is proposed to obtain the chord length correction factor by developing the Particle code based on equivalent transmission *** numerical analysis against reference solutions from explicit modeling in the RMC code,it was demonstrated that CLS with the proposed correction method provides good accuracy for addressing the excludedvolume effect in realistic infinite stochastic media.

Microbially induced carbonate precipitation(MICP)is a promising technique for the autonomous healing of concrete *** this study,the effect of pH on MICP was *** results indicate that the MICP process was inhibited when the pH was higher than *** vaterite and calcite were produced when the pH wasthe pH was>*** concrete aggregates(RCA)coated with sodium silicate have been proposed as protective carriers for microbial healing *** the presence of the coated RCA resulted in a loss of the splitting tension strength of the concrete,the loaded healing agents were highly efficient in self-healing *** incorporated with 20%RCA loaded with healing agents exhibited the best self-healing *** the initial crack widths were between 0.3 and 0.4 mm,the 7-d mean healing rate was approximately 90%.At 28 d,the crack area filling ratio was 86.4%,while its water tightness recovery ratio was 74.4%and 29.8%,respectively,for rapid and slow *** study suggests that RCA coated with sodium silicate is an effective method for packaging microbial healing agents and has great potential for developing cost-effective self-healing concrete.

POLAR-2 is a gamma-ray burst(GRB)polarimeter that is designed to study the polarization in GRB radiation emissions,aiming to improve our knowledge of related ***-2 is expected to utilize an on-board polarimeter that is sensitive to soft X-rays(2-10 keV),called low-energy polarization *** have developed a new soft X-ray polari-zation detector prototype based on gas microchannel plates(GMCPs)and pixel chips(Topmetal).the GMCPs have bulk resistance,which prevents charging-up effects and ensures gain stability during *** detector is composed of low outgassing materials and is gas-sealed using a laser welding technique,ensuring long-term stability.A modulation factor of 41.28%±0.64% is obtained for a 4.5 keV polarized X-ray beam.A residual modulation of 1.96%±0.58% at 5.9 keV is observed for the entire sensitive area.

An approximated solution for the gluon distribution from DGLAP evolution equations with the NLO splitting function in the small-x limit is *** first obtain simplified forms of the LO and NLO splitting functions in the small-x *** these approximated splitting functions,we obtain the analytical gluon distribution using the Mellin *** free parameters in the boundary conditions are obtained by fitting the CJ15 gluon distribution *** find that the asymptotic behavior of the gluon distribution is consistent with the CJ15 data;however,the NLO results considering the"ladder"structure of gluon emission are slightly better than the LO *** results indicate that the corrections from NLO have a significant influence on the behavior of the gluon distribution in the small-x *** addition,we investigate the DGLAP evolution of the proton structure function using the analytical solution of the gluon *** differential structure function reveals that our results have a similar tendency to the CJ15 data at small-x.

Accurate measurement of the transverse position of a beam is crucial in particle accelerators because it plays a key role in determining the beam *** methods for beam-position measurement rely on the detection of image currents induced on electrodes or narrow-band wake field induced by a beam passing through a cavity-type ***,these methods have *** indirect measurement of multiple parameters is computationally complex,requiring external calibration to determine the system parameters in ***,the utilization of the beam signal information is ***,this study proposes a novel method for measuring the absolute electron beam transverse *** utilizing the geometric relationship between the center position of the measured electron beam and multiple detection electrodes and by analyzing the differences in the arrival times of the beam signals detected by these electrodes,the absolute transverse position of the electron beam crossing the electrode plane can be *** method features absolute position measurement,a position sensitivity coefficient independent of vacuum chamber apertures,and no requirement for a symmetrical detector electrode *** feasibility of this method is validated through numerical simulations and beam experiments.
