Systematic study of cluster radioactivity within the generalized liquid drop model

Cluster radioactivity is studied within the generalized liquid drop model(GLDM),in which the shell correction energy,pairing energy,and cluster preformation factor are *** calculations show significant improvements and can reproduce the experimental data within a factor of 8.04 after considering these physical *** addition,the systematic trend of the cluster preformation factors is discussed in terms of the N_(p)N_(n)scheme to study the influence of the valence proton-neutron interaction and shell effect on cluster *** is found that log10Pcis linearly related to N_(p)N_(n).This is in agreement with a recent study[*** et al.,***.C 108,014325(2023)],in which log10Pc,obtained using different theoretical models and treatment methods than those used in this study,also had a linear relationship with N_(p)N_(n).Combined with the work by Qi et al.,this study suggests that the linear relationship between log10Pcand N_(p)N_(n)is model-independent and both the shell effect and valence proton-neutron interaction play essential roles in cluster *** analytical formula is proposed to calculate the cluster preformation factor based on the N_(p)N_(n)*** addition,the cluster preformation factors and the cluster radioactivity half-lives of some heavy nuclei are predicted,which can provide a reference for future experiments.

Based on the lightning observation data from the Fengyun-4A(FY-4A)Lightning Mapping Imager(FY-4A/LMI)and the Lightning Imaging Sensor(LIS)on the International space Station(ISS),we extract the“event”type data as the lightning detection *** observations are then compared with the cloud-to-ground(CG)lightning observation data from the China Meteorological *** study focuses on the characteristics of lightning activity in Southeast China,primarily in Jiangxi Province and its adjacent areas,from April to September,2017–*** addition,with the fifth-generation European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts reanalysis data,we further delved into the potential factors influencing the distribution and variations in lightning activity and their primary related *** findings indicate that the lightning frequency and density of the FY-4A/LMI,ISS-LIS and CG data are higher in southern and central Jiangxi,central Fujian Province,and western and central Guangdong Province,while they tend to be lower in eastern Hunan *** general,the high-value areas of lightning density for the FY-4A/LMI are located in inland mountainous *** lower the latitude is,the higher the CG lightning density ***-value areas of the CG lightning density are more likely to be located in eastern Fujian and southeastern Zhejiang ***,the high-value areas of lightning density for the ISS-LIS are more dispersed,with a scattered distribution in inland mountainous areas and along the coast of eastern ***,the mountainous terrain is closely related to the high-value areas of the lightning *** locations of the high-value areas of the lightning density for the FY-4A/LMI correspond well with those for the CG observations,and the seasonal variations are also *** contrast,the distribution of the high-value areas of the lightning density for the ISS-LIS is more *** positions of the peak frequency of the FY-4A/LMI lightnin

We derived the properties of the terrestrial magnetopause(MP)from two modeling approaches,one global–fluid,the other local–kinetic,and compared the results with data collected in situ by the Magnetospheric Multiscale 2(MMS2)*** used global magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)simulations of the Earth’s magnetosphere(publicly available from the NASA-CCMC[national Aeronautics and space Administration–Community Coordinated Modeling center])and local Vlasov equilibrium models(based on kinetic models for tangential discontinuities)to extract spatial profiles of the plasma and field variables at the Earth’s *** global MHD simulations used initial solar wind conditions extracted from the OMNI database at the time epoch when the MMS2 observes the *** kinetic Vlasov model used asymptotic boundary conditions derived from the same in situ MMS measurements upstream or downstream of the *** global MHD simulations provide a three-dimensional image of the magnetosphere at the time when the MMS2 crosses the *** Vlasov model provides a one-dimensional local view of the MP derived from first principles of kinetic *** MMS2 experimental data also serve as a reference for comparing and validating the numerical simulations and *** found that the MP transition layer formed in global MHD simulations was generally localized closer to the Earth(roughly by one Earth radius)from the position of the real MP observed by the *** also found that the global MHD simulations overestimated the thickness of the MP transition by one order of magnitude for three analyzed variables:magnetic field,density,and tangential *** MP thickness derived from the local Vlasov equilibrium was consistent with observations for all three of these *** overestimation of density in the Vlasov equilibrium was reduced compared with the global MHD *** discuss our results in the context of future SMILE(Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer)campaigns for observing

This paper studies the regional differences,dynamic evolution and influencing factors of regional carbon emission intensity(CEI)in 262 cities and 5 regional urban agglomerations(UAs)in *** Dagum Gini coefficient is used to analyze the intra-regional and inter-regional differences in carbon emissions,and the temporal evolution of the absolute differences of CEI among regions is analyzed by means of kernel density estimation(KDE).The paper provides an in-depth study on the spatial difference and temporal evolution of CEI in Chinese cities and major strategic *** Moran index and LISA’s test,the spatial correlation of carbon emission in prefecture-level cities is tested,and its spatial agglomeration characteristics are *** is found that China’s CEI is decreasing year by year,presenting a spatial pattern of“low in the south but high in the north”.Based on the calculation of carbon emission intensity at the urban level,this paper conducts LDMI factor decomposition research on carbon emission intensity at the national and key regions,and analyzes the impact of the impact factors on carbon emission *** research results provide a path for China’s green development at the city level and urban agglomeration level,and a theoretical support for different regions and cities to introduce emission and carbon reduction policies.

The Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS),including the US’s GPS,China’s BDS,the European Union’s Galileo,and Russia’s GLONASS,offer real-time,all-weather,any-time,anywhere and high precision observations by transmitting L band signals continuously,which have been widely used for positioning,navigation and *** the development of GNSS technology,it has been found that GNSS-reflected signals can be used to detect Earth’s surface characteristics together with other signals of *** this paper,the current status and latest advances are presented on Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry(GNSS-R)in theory,methods,techniques and *** developments and progresses in GNSS-R instruments,theoretical modeling,and signal processing,ground and space-/air-borne experiments,parameters retrieval(*** speed,sea surface height,soil moisture,ice thickness),sea surface altimetry and applications in the atmosphere,oceans,land,vegetation,and cryosphere are given and reviewed in ***,the challenges in the GNSS-R development of each field are also ***,the future applications and prospects of GNSS-R are discussed,including multi-GNSS reflectometry,new GNSS-R receivers,GNSS-R missions,and emerging applications,such as mesoscale ocean eddies,ocean phytoplankton blooms,microplastics detection,target recognition,river flow,desert studies,natural hazards and landslides monitoring.

Atmospheric ammonia(NH_(3)) is a chemically active trace gas that plays an important role in the atmospheric environment and climate change. Satellite remote sensing is a powerful technique to monitor NH_(3) concentration based on the absorption lines of NH_(3) in the thermal infrared region. In this study, we establish a retrieval algorithm to derive the NH_(3)column from the Hyperspectral Infrared Atmospheric Sounder(HIRAS) onboard the Chinese Feng Yun(FY)-3D satellite and present the first atmospheric NH_(3) column global map observed by the HIRAS instrument. The HIRAS observations can well capture NH_(3) hotspots around the world, e.g., India, West Africa, and East China, where large NH_(3) emissions exist. The HIRAS NH_(3) columns are also compared to the space-based Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer(IASI)measurements, and we find that the two instruments observe a consistent NH_(3) global distribution, with correlation coefficient(R) values of 0.28–0.73. Finally, some remaining issues about the HIRAS NH_(3) retrieval are discussed.

We present radial velocity(RV)curve templates of RR Lyrae first-overtone(RRc)stars constructed with the Mg I b triplet and Hαlines using time-domain Medium-Resolution Survey spectra of seven RRc stars from Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope(LAMOST)Data Release ***,we derive the relation between the stellar RV curve amplitudes and g-band light curve amplitudes from Zwicky Transient Facility(ZTF)public *** those RRc stars without ZTF g-band light curves,we provide the conversions from the light curve amplitudes in ZTF r-and i-bands,Gaia G-band,and V-band from the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae to those in ZTF *** validate our RV curve templates using the RRc star SV Scl and find the uncertainties of systemic RV are less than 2.11 km s~(-1)and 6.08 km s~(-1)based on the Mg I b triplet and Hαlines,*** calculate the systemic RVs of 30 RRc stars using the RV curve templates constructed with the Mg I b triplet and Hαlines and find the systemic RVs are comparable with each *** RV curve template will be particularly useful for obtaining the systemic RV of RRc using the LAMOST spectroscopy.

Earth’s diffuse aurora(structureless auroras,5-15 s pulsations and microbursts)occurs over a broad latitude range,which arises from the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the upper atmosphere[1].Diffuse aurora exists for most of the time,and intensifies during geo magnetically active periods[2].Although generally not visible to the naked eyes,it is the major source of energy input into the Earth’s nightside upper atmosphere[3].During magnetospheric substorms,~100 eV to 1 keV plasmasheet particles are injected into the midnight sector *** to the conservation of the particles’first two adiabatic invariants,the particles are energized to~10-100 keV energies.A mechanism that violates the first adiabatic invariant of electrons is required to scatter them to enter the atmospheric loss cone(a small cone of angle~3°wide at the equator)[4].
