Bismuth vanadate(BiVO_(4),BVO)as a promising photoelectrode has been received great attention for photoelectrochemical(PEC)water ***,the slow oxidation kinetics on the surface of BiVO_(4)limited the PEC water splitting ***,nickel boride(Ni_(3)B,NB)nanoparticles,generally used in electrocatalytic field material,were modified on the surface of BiVO_(4)photoelectrode as an efficient cocatalyst to accelerate the oxygen evolution *** as-prepared BVO-NB-5P photoelectrode exhibits a remarkable photocurrent density of 1.47 mA·cm^(−2)at 1.23 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)under air mass(AM)1.5 G illumination,which is about 2.8 times higher than the bare BiVO_(4)photoelectrode,and its water splitting rate is 11.3 times higher than bare BiVO_(4).The PEC studies reveal that the spin coated Ni_(3)B crystal cocatalyst could effectively reduce the water oxidation barrier,and improve the surface charge injection efficiency to 94%,which could boost the photogenerated holes reaction to enhance the PEC performance of BiVO_(4)photoelectrode.

This study focused on the manufacture of microcrystalline cellulose(MCC)from wheat straw using environmentally-friendly *** cellulose was separated from wheat straw after thermal decomposition of lignin followed by dissolution of lignin using a recyclable ethanol/acetic acid/water solvent ***,pure cellulose was produced using a four-step refining process,including chelating,O_(3),H_(2)O_(2),and xylanase ***,MCC was obtained through hydrolysis,drying,and mechanical *** effects of acetic acid,O_(3),H_(2)O_(2),NaOH,pretreatment time,and temperature on the properties of wheat straw cellulose(including Kappa number,yield,α-cellulose content,crystallinity,KMnO4 value,degree of polymerization(DP),and brightness)were *** results showed that the addition of acetic acid enhanced lignin removal and hemicellulose degradation,improving the purity of the raw *** optimized acetic acid dosage in the wheat straw thermal decomposition step was 2%(w/w).The optimized O_(3)dosage was 1.2%(w/w).The optimized conditions for H_(2)O_(2)treatment were found to be 3%(w/w)H_(2)O_(2)and 1.8%(w/w)NaOH at 70°C for 120 *** KMnO4 value was 2.0,brightness was 84.1%ISO,the viscosity was 934 mL/g,and the DP was 626 for refined *** effectively improved theα-cellulose content of wheat straw *** an optimized xylanase dosage of 1.5 IU/g,theα-cellulose content was 94.7%,the brightness was 85.6%ISO,and the DP was 615 for wheat straw cellulose.

Prediction of Natural Frequency of Laminated Composite Plates Using Artificial Neural Networks

The paper is focused on the application of artificial neural networks (ANN) in predicting the natural frequency of laminated composite plates under clamped boundary condition. For training and testing of the ANN model, a number of finite element analyses have been carried out using D-optimal design in the design of experiments (DOE) by varying the fibre orientations, –45?, 0?, 45? and 90?. The composite plate is modeled using linear layered structural shell element. The natural frequencies were found by analyses which were done by finite element (FE) analysis software. The ANN model has been developed using multilayer perceptron (MLP) back propagation algorithm. The adequacy of the developed model is verified by coefficient of determination (R). It was found that the R2 (R: coefficient of determination) values are 1 and 0.998 for train and test data respectively. The results showed that, the training algorithm of back propagation was sufficient enough in predicting the natural frequency of laminated composite plates. To judge the ability and efficiency of the developed ANN model, absolute relative error has been used. The results predicted by ANN are in very good agreement with the finite element (FE) results. Consequently, the D-optimal design and ANN are shown to be effective in predicting the natural frequency of laminated composite plates.

Visible Light Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue and Malachite Green Dyes with CuWO<sub>4</sub>-GO Nano Composite

Copper Tungstate-Graphene Oxide nano composites have been successfully applied as excellent catalysts for the photocatalytic degradation with Methylene blue and Malachite green dyes under visible light irradiation. A facile?solid state metathesis synthesis of copper tungstate (CuWO4) followed by ball milling and subsequent preparation of copper tungstate-graphene oxide?(CuWO4-GO) nano composite using a colloidal blending process and its application as a visible light photocatalyst for the degradation of Malachite green and Methylene blue dyes. The morphology and composition of copper tungstate (CuWO4) nano composite have been characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), UV-Visible Diffuse Reflectance Spectra (UV-DRS), Raman Spectra, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM)-EDS and UV Visible Spectroscopy. It shows a band gap value of 2.13 eV, an increase in range and intensity of light absorption and the reduction of electron-hole pair recombination in CuWO4 with the introducing of GO on to it.

The wireless application protocol （WAP） protocol is now the leading standard for information services on wireless terminals like digital mobile phones. By the use of WAP, wireless devices, like mobile phones, are possibly infected with virus and worms. Though up to now there is no such attack, as the usage of script languages increases, there is a chance of malicious code injection. This paper discusses the threats with current WAP protocol, and how changes in the protocol and the increase in its usage will enable entry of real viruses. Future threat scenarios are presented along with suggestions to avoid these problems.

W-Ag has applications in a wide range of cutting-edge fields,counting heat sinks and microwave absorbers for micro—electronic components,electric arc ends,and filaments for welding processes,electrical contacts,and durable electronic *** methods provide a number of benefits,including improved purity,and controlled particle *** present study focused on the fabrication of W-Ag nano composites using chemical synthesis.W-Ag nanocomposites with average size less than 50 nm were synthesized using Tungsten hexacarbonyl(W(CO)_(6),and silver acetate(CH_(3)-COOAg)as metal precursors in the present *** W-Ag composites were sintered using conventional sintering.X-ray diffraction studies of as-prepared powders showed amorphous W-phase and FCC Ag,while sintered W-Ag composites exhibited crystalline BCC W and FCC Ag *** effect of sintering temperature on relative density and mechanical properties of W-Ag sintered compacts was *** density in excess of 97.6%,98.2%and 98.8%was achieved for W-20.3 wt.%Ag,W-30.1 wt.%Ag and W-39.8 wt.%Ag composites on conventional sintering at 1000℃ for 1 *** hardness of 364±10 and 320±8 Hv and 279±6 were achieved for W-20.3 wt.%Ag,W-30.1 wt.%Ag and W-39.8 wt.%Ag composite compacts *** hardness value of W-Ag composites decreased with an increase in Ag *** combination of properties realized in this study renders the composites suitable for automotive and heat sink applications.

Here we demonstrate the fabrication, electrochemical performance and application of an asymmetric supercapacitor (AS) device constructed with ss-Ni(OH)(2)/MWCNTs as positive electrode and KOH activated honeycomb-like porous carbon (K-PC) derived from banana fibers as negative electrode. Initially, the electrochemical performance of hydrothermally synthesized ss-Ni(OH)(2)/MWCNTs nanocomposite and K-PC was studied in a three-electrode system using 1 M KOH. These materials exhibited a specific capacitance (Cs) of 1327 Fig and 324 F/g respectively at a scan rate of 10 mV/s. Further, the AS device i.e., ss-Ni(OH)(2)/MWCNTs// K-PC in 1 M KOH solution, demonstrated a Cs of 156 F/g at scan rate of 10 mV/s in a broad cell voltage of 0-2.2 V. The device demonstrated a good rate capability by maintaining a Cs of 59 F/g even at high current density (25 A/g). The device also offered high energy density of 63 Wh/kg with maximum power density of 5.2 kW/kg. The AS device exhibited excellent cycle life with 100% capacitance retention at 5000th cycle at a high current density of 25 A/g. Two AS devices connected in series were employed for powering a pair of LEDs of different colors and also a mini fan. In recent papers, Surana et al. presented internal polar non-classical Continuum theory in which velocity gradient tensor in its entirety was incorporated in the conservation and balance laws. Thus, this theory incorporated symmetric part of the velocity gradient tensor (as done in classical theories) as well as skew symmetric part representing varying internal rotation rates between material points which when resisted by deforming continua result in dissipation (and/or storage) of mechanical work. This physics referred as internal polar physics is neglected in classical continuum theories but can be quite significant for some materials. In another recent paper Surana et al. presented ordered rate constitutive theories for internal polar non-classical fluent continua without memory derived using deviatoric Cauchy stress tensor and conjugate strain rate tensors of up to orders n and Cauchy moment tensor and its conjugate symmetric part of the first convected derivative of the rotation gradient tensor. In this constitutive theory higher order convected derivatives of the symmetric part of the rotation gradient tensor are assumed not to contribute to dissipation. Secondly, the skew symmetric part of the velocity gradient tensor is used as rotation rates to determine rate of rotation gradient tensor. This is an approximation to true convected time derivatives of the rotation gradient tensor. The resulting constitutive theory: (1) is incomplete as it neglects the second and higher order convected time derivatives of the symmetric part of the rotation gradient tensor;(2) first convected derivative of the symmetric part of the rotation gradient tensor as used by Surana et al. is only approximate;(3) has inconsistent treatment of dissipation due to Cauchy moment tensor when compared with the dissipation mechanism due to deviatoric part of symmetric Cauchy stress tensor in which convected time derivatives of up to order n are considered in the theory. In this project, we studied land use and land cover classification of Nirmal Mandal, Adilabad district, Telenagna state by using Geographical Information system and Remote sensing techniques. LISS-IV satellite image resolution 5 m × 5 m provides quality information for identification of Land use/Land cover characteristics. The image accuracy shows 45.70% of Agricultural land, 9.10% Built-up land, Forest area is 7.90%, Barren land have 7.60% and Uncultivated land occupied 29.70%. National land use and land cover mapping report based on 5 divisions classified in the study area. The area land use and land cover classification provide reliable data to understand land, water, soil, forests, urban sprawl. This socio economic survey significantly shows the changes that so far have taken place. This will help the people/farmers for the future land use and land cover change detection. Regular monitoring of agriculture, forest and greening efforts for plantation at suitable area, schemes and limitations. Free ware browsing of land cover gives sufficient development to plenty resource.
