We calculate photon sphere r_(ph) and critical curve b_(c) for a quantum corrected Schwarzschild black hole,finding that they violate universal inequalities proved for asymptotically flat black holes that satisfy the null energy condition in the framework of Einstein *** violation seems to be a common phenomenon when considering quantum modification of Einstein ***,we study the shadows,lensing rings,and photon rings in the quantum corrected Schwarzschild black *** violation leads to a larger bright lensing ring in the observational appearance of the thin disk emission near the black hole compared with the classical Schwarzschild black *** analysis may provide observational evidence for the quantum effect of general relativity.

A novel electrochemical sensor based on(3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane(APTES) functionalized Si02supported Au nanoparticles and Nafion(Nf) as the protective membrane was fabricated for the electrochemical determination of H2O2in contact lens-cleaning *** modification steps of glassy carbon working electrode(GCE) were evaluated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and cyclic voltammetry(CV).The amperometric results showed that Nf/Au@Si02-APTES/GCE sensor can be used to determine H2O2in contact lens solutions with the linear ranges of 14-180 μM and 0.18-7.15 mM,excellent sensitivities of 2514.6 and894.2 μA mM cm-2,and a low limit of detection(LOD) of 4.25 μM depending upon signal-to-noise ratio of ***/Au@Si02-APTES/GCE exhibited excellent repeatability with relative standard deviation(RDS) of 2.66% and acceptable reproducibility with RSD of 3.35%.The sensor displayed reasonable selectivity in the presence of uric acid,dopamine,ascorbic acid,glucose,mannose,glycine,fructose,histidine,and arginine with RSD less than2.5%.The fabricated Nf/Au@Si02-APTES/GCE sensor has been successfully applied to detect H2O2in contact lens cleaning solutions.

Upconversion is a process in which one photon is emitted upon absorption of several photons of lower energy. Potential applications include super resolution spectroscopy, high density data storage, anti-counterfeiting and biological imaging and photo-induced therapy. Upconversion luminescence dynamics has long been believed to be determined solely by the emitting ions and their interactions with neighboring sensitizing ions. Recent research shows that this does not hold for *** luminescence time behavior in the nanomaterials is confirmed seriously affected by the migration process of the excitation energy. This new fundamental insight is significant for the design of functional upconversion nanostructures. In this paper we review relevant theoretical and spectroscopic results and demonstrate how to tune the rise and decay profile of upconversion luminescence based on energy migration path modulation.

99mTc-Methylene diphosphonate （99mTc-MDP） is widely used in clinical settings to detect bone abnormalities. However, the mechanism of 99mTc-MDP uptake in bone is not well elucidated. In this study, we utilized a mouse tibia injury model, single-photon emission computed tomography （gamma scintigraphy or SPECT）, ex vivo micro-computed tomography, and histology to monitor 99mTc-MDP uptake in injury sites during skeletal healing. In an ex vivo culture system, calvarial cells were differentiated into osteoblasts with osteogenic medium, pulsed with 99mTc-MDP at different time points, and quantitated for 99mTc-MDP uptake with a gamma counter. We demonstrated that 99mTc-MDP uptake in the injury sites corresponded to osteoblast generation in those sites throughout the healing process. The 99mTc-MDP uptake within the injury sites peaked on day 7 post-injury, while the injury sites were occupied by mature osteoblasts also starting from day 7. ~mTc-MDP uptake started to decrease 14 days post-surgery, when we observed the highest level of bony tissue in the injury sites. We also found that 99mTc-MDP uptake was associated with osteoblast maturation and mineralization in vitro. This study provides direct and biological evidence for 99mTc-MDP uptake in osteoblasts during bone healing in vivo and in vitro.

Healthcare supply chains are under pressure to drive down costs because of digital business,shifting customer needs and new *** waste generated from medical facilities includes medical activities and daily-life activities of patients and their family *** to statistics of the Department of Health EnvironmentalManagement,Vietnam currently has more than 13,500 medical facilities,including hospitals from central to provincial and district levels and private hospitals and medical *** medicine generates about 590 tons of medical waste/day and is estimated to be about 800 tons/*** waste includes ordinary medical waste and hazardous medical waste;in which ordinary medical waste accounts for about 80%–90%,only about 10%–20%is hazardous medical waste including infectious waste and non-infectious hazardous *** is an environmental and occupational health issue that needs attention in developing countries like *** large amounts of medical waste to ensure environmental and personal hygiene,doing so inefficiently creates potential hazards to the environment and increases operating ***,hospitals lack objective criteria and methods to evaluate and select the most optimal infectious medical waste,relying instead on their own subjective assessment and prior ***,the author proposed a fuzzy multicriteria decision making(MCDM)model including Fuzzy Analytic hierarchy process(FAHP)and the Weighted Aggregated Sum-Product Assessment(WASPAS)for infectious medical waste contractors’selection in this *** proposed Fuzzy MCDM method is in-tended to provide a more efficient,accurate method in the selection of infectious medical waste contractors than subjective assessment methods,thus reduce potential risks to *** results of this study can be applied to evaluate and select contractors in other industries.

Enhanced cortical bone expansion in Lgals3-deficient mice during aging

Imbalances between bone formation and bone resorption, which can occur due to aging or sex hormone deprivation, result in decreased bone mass and an increased risk of fracture. Previous studies have suggested that the β-galactoside binding lectin,galectin-3, is involved in bone remodeling. We compared bone parameters of mice having null alleles of the galectin-3 gene(Lgals3-KO) with those of their wild-type littermates. Lgals3 deficiency increased cortical bone expansion at 36 weeks(wk) and preserved or enhanced bone mass in both male and female mutant mice. In addition, female Lgals3-KO mice were protected from age-related loss of trabecular bone. Histomorphometry and ex vivo primary cell differentiation assays showed increased osteoblastogenesis with little-to-no effect on osteoclastogenesis, suggesting the increased bone mass phenotype is primarily due to increased anabolism. Our study identifies galectin-3 as a negative regulator of bone formation and suggests that disruption of galectin-3 may be useful in preventing bone loss during aging.
