Testing method of rock structural plane using digital drilling

The rock mass consists of rock blocks and structural planes,which can reduce its integrity and ***,accurately obtaining the characteristics of the rock mass structural plane is a prerequisite for evaluating stability and designing supports in underground ***,there are no effective testing methods for the characteristic parameters of the rock mass structural plane in underground *** paper presents the digital drilling technology as a new testing method of rock mass structural *** rock specimens with cracks of varying widths and angles were used to simulate the rock mass structural planes,and the multifunctional rock mass digital drilling test system was employed to carry out the digital drilling *** analysis focuses on the variation laws of drilling parameters,such as drilling pressure and drilling torque,affected by the characteristics of prefabricated cracks,and clarifies the degradation mechanism of rock equivalent compressive ***,an identification model for the characteristic parameters of rock mass structural planes during drilling is *** test results indicate that the average difference of the characteristics of prefabricated cracks identified by the equivalent compressive strength is 2.45°and 0.82 mm,*** identification model while drilling is verified to be correct due to the high identification *** on this,a method for testing the characteristic parameters of the surrounding rock structural plane while drilling is *** research offers a theoretical and methodological foundation for precise in situ identification of structural planes of the surrounding rock in underground engineering.

Structure design and coordinated motion analysis of bionic crocodile robot

Crocodiles,one of the oldest and most resilient species on Earth,have demonstrated remarkable locomotor abilities both on land and in water,evolving over millennia to adapt to diverse *** this study,we draw inspiration from crocodiles and design a highly biomimetic crocodile robot equipped with multiple degrees of freedom and articulated trunk *** design is based on comprehensive analysis of the structural and motion characteristics of real *** bionic crocodile robot has a problem of limb-torso incoordination during *** solve this problem,we used the D-H method for both forward and inverse kinematics analysis of the robot's legs and *** a series of simulation experiments,we investigated the robot's motion stability,fault tolerance,and adaptability to environments in two motor patterns:with and without spine and tail *** experimental results show that the bionic crocodile robot exhibits superior motion performance when the spine and tail cooperate with the *** study not only demonstrates the potential of biomimicry in robotics but also underscores the significance of understanding how nature's designs can inform and enhance technological innovations.

Mechanical properties and acoustic emission characteristics of soft rock with different water contents under dynamic disturbance

Uniaxial compression tests and cyclic loading acoustic emission tests were conducted on 20%,40%,60%,80%,dry and saturated muddy sandstone by using a creep impact loading system to investigate the mechanical properties and acoustic emission characteristics of soft rocks with different water contents under dynamic *** mechanical properties and acoustic emission characteristics of muddy sandstones at different water contents were *** of experimental studies show that water is a key factor in the mechanical properties of rocks,softening them,increasing their porosity,reducing their brittleness and increasing their *** uniaxial compression,the macroscopic damage characteristics of the muddy sandstone change from mono-bevel shear damage and‘X’type conjugate bevel shear damage to a roadway bottom-drum type damage as the water content *** perturbation has a strengthening effect on the mechanical properties of samples with 60%and less water content,and a weakening effect on samples with 80%and more water content,but the weakening effect is not *** damage characteristics of dry samples remain unchanged,water samples from shear damage and tensile–shear composite damage gradually transformed into cleavage damage,until saturation transformation monoclinic shear *** evolution of acoustic emission energy and event number is mainly divided into four stages:loading stage(Ⅰ),dynamic loading stage(Ⅱ),yield failure stage(Ⅲ),and post-peak stage(Ⅳ),the acoustic emission characteristics of the stages were different for different water *** characteristic value of acoustic emission key point frequency gradually decreases,and the damage degree of the specimen increases,corresponding to low water content—high main frequency—low damage and high water content—low main frequency—high damage.

Separation density prediction of geldart A^(-)dense medium in gas-solid fluidized bed coal beneficiators

Gas-solid Fluidized Bed Coal Beneficiator(GFBCB)process is a crucial dry coal beneficiation fluidization *** work employs the GFBCB process alongside a novel Geldart A^(-)dense medium,consisting of Geldart A magnetite particles and Geldart C ultrafine coal,to separate small-size separated objects in the *** effects of various operational conditions,including the volume fraction of ultrafine coal,the gas velocity,the separated objects size,and the separation time,were investigated on the GFBCB's separation *** results indicated that the probable error for 6∼3 mm separated objects could be controlled within 0.10 g/cm^(3).Compared to the traditional Geldart B/D dense medium,the Geldart A/A^(-)dense medium exhibited better size-dependent separation performance with an overall probable error 0.04∼0.12 g/cm^(3).Moreover,it achieved a similar separation accuracy to the Geldart B/D dense medium fluidized bed with different external energy for the small-size object *** work furthermore validated a separation density prediction model based on theoretical derivation,available for both Geldart B/D dense medium and Geldart A/A^(-)dense medium at different operational conditions.

Study on creep deformation and energy development of underground surrounding rock under four‐dimensional support

There is an urgent need to develop optimal solutions for deformation control of deep high‐stress roadways,one of the critical problems in underground *** previously proposed four‐dimensional support(hereinafter 4D support),as a new support technology,can set the roadway surrounding rock under three‐dimensional pressure in the new balanced structure,and prevent instability of surrounding rock in underground ***,the influence of roadway depth and creep deformation on the surrounding rock supported by 4D support is still *** study investigated the influence of roadway depth and creep deformation time on the instability of surrounding rock by analyzing the energy *** elastic strain energy was analyzed using the program redeveloped in *** numerical simulation results indicate that the combined support mode of 4D roof supports and conventional side supports is highly applicable to the stability control of surrounding rock with a roadway depth exceeding 520 *** the increase of roadway depth,4D support can effectively restrain the area and depth of plastic deformation in the surrounding ***,4D support limits the accumulation range and rate of elastic strain energy as the creep deformation time increases.4D support can effectively reduce the plastic deformation of roadway surrounding rock and maintain the stability for a long deformation period of 6 *** confirmed by in situ monitoring results,4D support is more effective for the long‐term stability control of surrounding rock than conventional support.

Research progress of CO_(2) capture and mineralization based on natural minerals

Natural minerals,such as kaolinite,halloysite,montmorillonite,attapulgite,bentonite,sepiolite,forsterite,and wollastonite,have considerable potential for use in CO_(2) capture and mineralization due to their abundant reserves,low cost,excellent mechanical prop-erties,and chemical *** the past decades,various methods,such as those involving heat,acid,alkali,organic amine,amino sil-ane,and ionic liquid,have been employed to enhance the CO_(2) capture performance of natural minerals to attain high specific surface area,a large number of pore structures,and rich active *** research on CO_(2) capture by natural minerals will focus on the full utiliza-tion of the properties of natural minerals,adoption of suitable modification methods,and preparation of composite materials with high specific surface area and rich active *** addition,we provide a summary of the principle and technical route of direct and indirect mineralization of CO_(2) by natural *** process uses minerals with high calcium and magnesium contents,such as forsterite(Mg_(2)SiO_(4)),serpentine[Mg_(3)Si_(2)O(OH)_(4)],and wollastonite(CaSiO_(3)).The research status of indirect mineralization of CO_(2) using hydro-chloric acid,acetic acid,molten salt,and ammonium salt as media is also introduced in *** recovery of additives and high-value-added products during the mineralization process to increase economic benefits is another focus of future research on CO_(2) mineralization by natural minerals.

STRONG CONVERGENCE OF JUMP-ADAPTED IMPLICIT MILSTEIN METHOD FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR JUMP-DIFFUSION PROBLEMS

In this paper,we study the strong convergence of a jump-adapted implicit Milstein method for a class of jump-diffusion stochastic differential equations with non-globally Lipschitz drift *** with the regular methods,the jump-adapted methods can significantly reduce the complexity of higher order methods,which makes them easily implementable for scenario ***,due to the fact that jump-adapted time discretization is path dependent and the stepsize is not uniform,this makes the numerical analysis of jump-adapted methods much more involved,especially in the non-globally Lipschitz *** provide a rigorous strong convergence analysis of the considered jump-adapted implicit Milstein method by developing some novel analysis techniques and optimal rate with order one is also successfully *** experiments are carried out to verify the theoretical findings.

Numerical modelling of post-failure behaviors of coal specimens

A modelling approach consisting of best-fit relations to estimate the post-yield strength parameters is presented for simulating post-peak behavior beyond the point of residual strength of coal pillars having different w/h *** model was developed based on back-analysis of the complete stress-strain behavior of specimens belonging to six different Indian coal seams with different w/h ratios of 0.5 *** was found that the simultaneous degradation of the cohesion and friction angle of the Mohr-Coulomb rock material characterizes the post-peak strength behavior of the *** resulting expressions are simplistic as they require parameters that can be easily determined using uniaxial and triaxial compression ***,the developed model was validated by simulating the triaxial tests of coal specimens with different sizes under varying confining stresses and comparing its findings with the published test *** study showed that its implementation in the numerical model could reproduce laboratory-observed mechanical response,deformation behavior,and failure mechanism very closely.

A scheme for generating nonisospectral integrable hierarchies is *** on the method,we deduce a nonisospectral hierarchy of soliton equations by considering a linear spectral *** follows that the corresponding expanded isospectral and nonisospectral integrable hierarchies are deduced based on a 6 dimensional complex linear space ■.By reducing these integrable hierarchies,we obtain the expanded isospectral and nonisospectral derivative nonlinear Schr?dinger *** using the trace identity,the biHamiltonian structure of these two hierarchies are also ***,some symmetries and conserved quantities of the resulting hierarchy are discussed.

A semantic vector map-based approach for aircraft positioning in GNSS/GPS denied large-scale environment

Accurate positioning is one of the essential requirements for numerous applications of remote sensing data,especially in the event of a noisy or unreliable satellite *** this end,we present a novel framework for aircraft geo-localization in a large range that only requires a downward-facing monocular camera,an altimeter,a compass,and an open-source Vector Map(VMAP).The algorithm combines the matching and particle filter *** vector and correlation between two building contour vectors are defined,and a coarse-to-fine building vector matching(CFBVM)method is proposed in the matching stage,for which the original matching results are described by the Gaussian mixture model(GMM).Subsequently,an improved resampling strategy is designed to reduce computing expenses with a huge number of initial particles,and a credibility indicator is designed to avoid location mistakes in the particle filter *** experimental evaluation of the approach based on flight data is *** a flight at a height of 0.2 km over a flight distance of 2 km,the aircraft is geo-localized in a reference map of 11,025 km~2using 0.09 km~2aerial images without any prior *** absolute localization error is less than 10 m.
