The industrial sector is vital to economic progress,yet industrial pollution poses environmental and economic *** purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of green industrial transformation in re-ducing Pakistan’s carbon intensity between 1975 and *** emissions are considered an endogenous construct,while foreign direct investment(FDI)inflows,technological innovation,green industrial transforma-tion,environmental legislation,and research and development(R&D)investment are possible *** association between variables is assessed using the robust least-squares *** industrial transforma-tion is connected with lower carbon emissions,yet technical innovation,R&D investment,and inbound FDI raise a country’s carbon *** findings support the pollution haven hypothesis in a *** causality esti-mates indicate that inward FDI contributes to environmental regulations;green industrial transformation directly relates to inbound FDI and R&D expenditures;and technological innovations correspond to inbound FDI,R&D ex-penditures,industrial ecofriendly progression,and environmental *** to the impulse response function,environmental policies are anticipated to have a differential effect on carbon emissions in 2023,2024,2028-2030,while they are likely to decrease in the years 2025-2027 and 2031 ***,inward FDI and technology advancements would almost certainly result in a rise in carbon emissions over *** industrial transitions are projected to result in a ten-year reduction in carbon *** variance decomposi-tion analysis indicates that eco-friendly industrial adaptations would likely have the largest variance error shock on carbon emissions(11.747%),followed by inbound FDI,technological advancements,and regulatory changes,with R&D spending having a minimal impact over ***’s economy should foster a green industrial revolution to avoid pollution and increase environm

Healthy life expectancy with cardiovascular disease among Chinese rural population based on the prospective cohort study

BACKGROUND Limited research has explored the impact of cardiovascular disease(CVD)on healthy life expectancy(HLE)especially in resource-limited *** study aimed to investigate the association between CVD and HLE in Chinese rural *** This study included 11,994 participants aged 45 years and older from the baseline and follow-up surveys of the Henan rural cohort *** status was measured via a Visual Analogue *** multistate Markov model was applied to estimate the association between CVD and transitions in health,unhealthiness and ***-specific total life expectancy,HLE and unhealthy life expectancy were calculated by the multistate life table *** During a mean follow-up time of 3.85(3.84–3.86)years,there were 588 deaths *** individuals with CVD,the risk of switching from health to unhealthiness status was increased by 71%[hazard ratio(HR)=1.71,95%CI:1.42–2.07],the chance of recovery was reduced by 30%(HR=0.70,95%CI:0.60–0.82).Men aged 45 years without CVD could gain an extra 7.08(4.15–10.01)years of HLE and lose 4.00(1.60–6.40)years of unhealthy life expectancy compared to their peers with CVD,*** corresponding estimates among women were 8.62(5.55–11.68)years and 5.82(2.59–9.04)years,*** This study indicated that CVD was significantly associated with poorer health status and lower HLE among Chinese rural *** is an important public health policy to adopt targeted measures to reduce the CVD burden and enhance the quality of life and HLE in resource-limited areas.

Blue light induces leaf color change by modulating carotenoid metabolites in orange-head Chinese cabbage(Brassica rapa ***. pekinensis)

Carotenoids are involved in the formation of plant leaf color as well as photosystem photoprotection. This study showed that blue light significantly induced up-regulation of the total carotenoid content in the inner leaves of orange-head Chinese cabbage(OHCC). Furthermore, the transcriptomic analysis revealed that blue light treatment induced upregulation of genes in photosynthesis(BrHY5-2, BrCOP1 and BrDET1) and the methylerythritol 4-phosphate pathways(BrGGPS, BrDXS and BrHDR) upstream of the carotenoid metabolic pathway. Carotenoid metabolomic analysis revealed that the accumulation of several orange and red carotenoids(lycopene, zeaxanthin, β-carotene, lutein, and β-cryptoxanthin) after blue light treatment contributed to the deepening of the leaf coloration, suggesting that short-term blue light treatment could be used to boost nutritional quality. The light signal gene BrHY5-2 participated in the blue light-induced transcriptional regulation of carotenoid biosynthesis in OHCC. Overexpression of BrHY5-2 in Arabidopsis significantly increased the total carotenoid content and the sensitivity to blue light. The above findings revealed new insights about blue-light-induced carotenoid synthesis and accumulation in OHCC lines. They suggested a new engineering approach to increase the nutritional value of vegetables.

Distributed denial of service(DDoS)attack is the most common attack that obstructs a network and makes it unavailable for a legitimate *** proposed a deep neural network(DNN)model for the detection of DDoS attacks in the Software-Defined Networking(SDN)*** centralizes the control plane and separates it from the data *** simplifies a network and eliminates vendor specification of a *** of this open nature and centralized control,SDN can easily become a victim of DDoS *** proposed a supervised Developed Deep Neural Network(DDNN)model that can classify the DDoS attack traffic and legitimate *** Developed Deep Neural Network(DDNN)model takes a large number of feature values as compared to previously proposed Machine Learning(ML)*** proposed DNN model scans the data to find the correlated features and delivers high-quality *** model enhances the security of SDN and has better accuracy as compared to previously proposed *** choose the latest state-of-the-art dataset which consists of many novel attacks and overcomes all the shortcomings and limitations of the existing *** model results in a high accuracy rate of 99.76%with a low false-positive rate and 0.065%low loss *** accuracy increases to 99.80%as we increase the number of epochs to 100 *** proposed model classifies anomalous and normal traffic more accurately as compared to the previously proposed *** can handle a huge amount of structured and unstructured data and can easily solve complex problems.

The dwarfing rootstocks-mediated high-density apple orchard is becoming the main practice ***,dwarfing rootstocks are widely used worldwide,but their shallow root system and drought sensitivity necessitate high irrigation ***,the root transcriptome and metabolome of dwarfing(M9-T337,a drought-sensitive rootstock)and vigorous rootstocks(Malus sieversii,a drought-tolerant species,is commonly used as a rootstock)showed that a coumarin derivative,4-Methylumbelliferon(4-MU),was found to accumulate significantly in the roots of vigorous rootstock under drought *** exogenous 4-MU was applied to the roots of dwarfing rootstock under drought treatment,the plants displayed increased root biomass,higher root-to-shoot ratio,greater photosynthesis,and elevated water use *** addition,diversity and structure analysis of the rhizosphere soil microbial community demonstrated that 4-MU treatment increased the relative abundance of putatively beneficial bacteria and *** these,Pseudomonas,Bacillus,Streptomyces,and Chryseolinea bacterial strains and Acremonium,Trichoderma,and Phoma fungal strains known for root growth,or systemic resistance against drought stress,were significantly accumulated in the roots of dwarfing rootstock after 4-MU treatment under drought stress *** together,we identified a promising compound—4-MU,as a useful tool,to strengthen the drought tolerance of apple dwarfing rootstock.
