Keyhole surgeries become mcreasingly important in clinical daily routine as they help minimizing the damage of a patient's healthy *** planning of keyhole surgeries is based on medical imaging and an important factor that influences the surgeries**** to the image reconstruction process,medical image data contains uncertainty that exacerbates the planning of a keyhole *** this paper we present a visual workflow that helps clinicians to examine and compare different surgery paths as well as visualizing the patientsJ affected *** analysis is based on the concept of hierarchical image semantics,that segment the underlying image data with respect to the input images'uncertainty and the users understanding of tissue *** can define arbitrary surgery paths that they need to investigate *** defined paths can be queried by a rating function to identify paths that fulfill user-defined *** workflow allows a visual inspection of the affected tissues and its ***,the workflow includes a linked view system indicating the three-dimensional location of selected surgery paths as well as how these paths affect the patients *** show the effectiveness of the presented approach,we applied it to the planning of a keyhole surgery of a brain tumor removal and a kneecap surgery.

Understanding the impact of meltwater discharge during the final stage of the Laurentide Ice Sheet(LIS)has important implications for predicting sea level rise and climate change. Here we present a highresolution ice-core isotopic record from the central Tibetan Plateau(TP), where the climate is sensitive to the meltwater forcing, and explore possible signals of the climate response to potential LIS meltwater discharges in the early to mid-Holocene. The record shows four abrupt large fluctuations during the7–9 ka BP(kiloannum before present), reflecting large shifts of the mid-latitude westerlies and the Indian summer monsoon(ISM) over this period, and they corresponded to possible LIS freshwater events documented in other paleoclimate records. Our study suggests that multiple rapid meltwater discharge events might have occurred during the final stage of LIS. The finding implies the possibility of rapid sea level rise and unstable climate in the transition zone between the mid-latitude westerlies and the ISM due to fast polar ice retreat under the anthropogenic global warming.

Supply-driven chain＇s production is different from traditional demand-driven production because its supplies must guide the full production flow toward the markets and respond actively to customer demand. According to the control tlaeory, a novel multi-variable operation model of supply-driven chain is discussed here, integrating suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and market demands. Especially the coordination problem between suppliers and manufacturers is discussed where suppliers play more important role than manufacturers. Because defect is common in real production system, the production operation of supply-driven chain with imperfect quality is described on the basis of fuzzy set to model the ambiguity of quality and to provide appropriate supply coordination mechanism. In a designed numerical example, it is apparent that both response and robustness performances of supply-driven production system on demand with imperfect quality are improved by a fuzzy proportional-integral- differential regulator. The proposed model may apply to similar productions with imoerfect quality.

In this article,we demonstrated a handheld smartphone fluorescence microscope(HSFM)that integrates dualfunctional polymer lenses with a *** HSFM consists of a smartphone,a field-portable illumination source,and a dual-functional polymer lens that performs both optical imaging and ***,compared with the existing smartphone fluorescence microscope,the HSFM does not need any additional optical *** fluorescence imaging has traditionally played an indispensable role in biomedical and clinical applications due to its high specificity and sensitivity for detecting cells,proteins,DNAs/RNAs,etc.,the bulky elements of conventional fluorescence microscopes make them inconvenient for use in point-of-care *** HSFM demonstrated in this article solves this problem by providing a multifunctional,miniature,small-form-factor fluorescence *** multifunctional fluorescence module can be seamlessly attached to any smartphone camera for both bright-field and fluorescence imaging at cellular-scale resolutions without the use of additional bulky lenses/filters;in fact,the HSFM achieves magnification and light filtration using a single *** and tissue observation,cell counting,plasmid transfection evaluation,and superoxide production analysis were performed using this ***,this lens system has the unique capability of functioning with numerous smartphones,irrespective of the smartphone model and the camera technology housed within each *** such,this HSFM has the potential to pave the way for realtime point-of-care diagnosis and opens up countless possibilities for personalized medicine.

Cr-doped CdS nanowires were synthesized in large scale through thermal co-evaporation of CdS and metal Cr powders. General morphology, detailed microstructure and optical properties were characterized using various techniques. Devices consisting of individual Cr-doped CdS nanowire were fabricated and they exhibited remarkable rectifying characteristics. Ⅰ-Ⅴ curves of individual Cr-doped CdS nanowire devices demonstrate that the present nanowires are n-type doped and have high conductivity （10.96 Ω^-1cm^-1）, indicating great potential applications in nanoscale electronic and optoelectronic devices.
