Increasing impacts from extreme precipitation on population over China with global warming

Precipitation-related extremes are among the most impact-relevant consequences of a warmer climate,particularly for China,a region vulnerable to global warming and with a large *** the impacts and risks induced by future extreme precipitation changes is critical for mitigation and adaptation ***,extreme precipitation changes under different levels of global warming and their associated impacts on populations in China are investigated using multimodel climate projections from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 and population projections under Shared Socioeconomic *** precipitation would intensify with warming across China at a rate of 6.52%(5.22%-8.57%)per degree of global *** longest dry spell length would increase(decrease)south(north)of-34°*** low warming target of the paris Agreement could substantially reduce the extreme precipitation related impacts compared to higher warming *** the area weighted average changes,the intensification in wet extremes could be reduced by 3.22%,9.42%and 16.70%over China,and the lengthening of dry spells could be reduced by 0.72%,4.75%and 5.31%in southeastern China,respectively,if global warming is limited to 1.5℃as compared to 2,3 and 4℃The Southeastern China is the hotspot of enhanced impacts due to the dense *** impacts on populations induced by extreme precipitation changes are dominated by climate change,while future population redistribution plays a minor role.

[Objectives]To determine the content of total saponins in paris daliensis H. Li et V. G. Soukoup and paris dulongensis H. Li et ***,fill the gap in the study of paris daliensis H. Li et V. G. Soukoup and paris dulongensis H. Li et S. kurita,and lay a foundation for searching new medicinal resources of paris L. [Methods]The perchloric acid colorimetric method and UV spectrophotometer were used to determine the content of total saponins in paris daliensis H. Li et V. G. Soukoup and paris dulongensis H. Li et S. kurita at 406 nm. [Results]The lowest content of total saponins in paris daliensis H. Li et V. G. Soukoup was 2. 637%,while the highest content reached 5. 474%; the lowest content of total saponins in paris dulongensis was 1. 806%,while the highest content reached 3. 532%. Through the methodological examination,it was found that this method was stable and reliable. [Conclusions] The content of total saponins was high in paris daliensis *** et V. G. Soukoup and paris dulongensis H. Li et S. kurita,and it was suggested to further study and find the medicinal resources of paris L.

Early gastric cancer(EGC)is an invasive carcinoma involving only the stomach mucosa or submucosa,independently of lymph node *** represents over 50%of cases in Japan and in South Korea,whereas it accounts only for approximately 20%of all newly diagnosed gastric cancers in Western *** main classification systems of EGC are the Vienna histopathologic classification and the paris endoscopic classification of polypoid and non-polypoid lesions.A careful endoscopic assessment is fundamental to establish the best treatment of ***,EGCs are curable if the lesion is completely removed by endoscopic resection or *** types of EGC can be resected endoscopically;for others the most appropriate treatment is surgical resection and D2 lymphadenectomy,especially in Western *** favorable oncological prognosis,the extended lymphadenectomy and the reconstruction of the intestinal continuity that excludes the duodenum make the prophylactic cholecystectomy mandatory to avoid the onset of biliary complications.

Since severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS‐CoV‐2)was first identified during late 2019,the sustained spread of this pathogen within the human population has caused worldwide disruption with staggering infection rates and death *** to the accumulation of mutations in SARS‐CoV‐2,the virus has evolved into many variants,five of which have been listed as variants of concern VOCs by the World Health Organization(WHO).Multiple animal models of SARS‐CoV‐2 have been developed to evaluate vaccines and drugs and to assess the pathogenicity,transmissibility and antiviral measures of these ***,we review the cutting‐edge research based on mouse,hamster,ferret and non‐human primate models for evaluating SARS‐CoV‐2 with a focus on the Omicron variant,and highlight the importance of updating vaccines in a timely manner in order to mitigate the negative effects of SARS‐CoV‐2 infections in the human population.

The Effects of FED’s and ECB’s QE Announcements on Exchange Rates of Bitcoin,Euro,and Dollar in the Period of COVID-19:An Event Study Approach

Corresponding to the pandemic COVID-19,both FED and ECB were committed to using their full range of tools,such as the helicopter money policy and a new quantitative easing programme to support the economy in this challenging *** goal of this study is to explore the impact of ECB’s and FED’s COVID-19 Quantitative Easing(QE)announcements on exchange *** an event study with daily data from 01/10/2019 to 02/05/2020,it investigates the impact of these“Odyssean shocks”on EUR/USD,BTC/EUR,and BTC/*** empirical results show an unexpected behavior of exchange rates in response to monetary policy *** specifically,the ECB’s announcement led to appreciation of the Euro against the *** the other hand,the FED’s announcement leads to depreciation of the *** virtual exchange rates of Bitcoin do not seem to be affected by the announcements of the ECB and the FED,confirming the role of Bitcoin as a decentralised currency and independent of Central Banks and *** conclusions of the study are useful for investors and policy makers,as the unforeseen COVID-19 crisis has disturbed and modified investor behavior.

Since 1978 when I started my research on bryophytes,I have had opportunities to visit the important herbaria for bryological researches in the world and to undertake researches at some herbaria,including BM in London,E in Edinburgh,PC in paris,H in Helsinki,S in Stockholm, MHA in Moscow,LE in Leningrad,KRA in Krakow,BP in Budapest;NY in New York,MO in St. Louis,FH in Cambridge,CANM in Ottawa,ALTA in Edmonton,MICH in Ann Arbor;NICH in Nichinan,HIRO in Hiroshima,TNS in Tokyo,LWG in Lucknow,SING in Singapore etc.I was impressed by rich and valuable collections of bryophyte specimens and literature deposed at the different *** of raped development of new and modern technology,especially molecular methods recently,the people pay more and more attention to new technology and molecular *** historical specimens at the herbaria seem not as important for the researches,especially systematic research of bryophytes as *** people wonder what roles the historical specimens play in the researches of *** on my research practice and experience for more than 30 years in bryology,I would like to talk of my opinions about the important roles of historical specimens at the herbaria for bryological researches herewith.
