Bioinspired Tactile Sensation Based on Synergistic Microcrack-Bristle Structure Design toward High Mechanical Sensitivity and Direction-Resolving Capability

Natural tactile sensation is complex,which involves not only contact force intensity detection but also the perception of the force direction,the surface texture,and other mechanical ***,the vast majority of the developed tactile sensors can only detect the normal force,but usually cannot resolve shear force or even distinguish the directions of the ***,we present a new paradigm of bioinspired tactile sensors for resolving both the intensity and the directions of mechanical stimulations via synergistic microcrack-bristle structure design and cross-shaped configuration *** microcrack sensing structure gives high mechanical sensitivity to the tactile sensors,and the synergistic bristle structure further amplifies the sensitivity of the *** cross-shaped configuration engineering of the synergistic microcrack-bristle structure further endows the tactile sensors with good capability to detect and distinguish the directions of the applied mechanical *** as-fabricated tactile sensors exhibit a high sensitivity(25.76 N^(−1)),low detection limit(5.4 mN),desirable stability(over 2,500 cycles),and good capability to resolve both mechanical intensity and directional *** promising application scenarios,surface texture recognition and biomimetic path explorations are successfully demonstrated with these tactile *** newly proposed tactile sensation strategy and technology have great potential applications in ingenious tactile sensation and construction of various robotic and bionic prostheses with high operational dexterity.

At present,due to the rapid progress of treatment technology in the acute phase of ischaemic stroke,the mortality of patients has been greatly reduced but the number of disabled survivors is increasing,and most of them are elderly *** and rehabilitation therapists pay attention to develop all kinds of therapist techniques including physical therapy techniques,robot-assisted technology and artificial intelligence technology,and study the molecular,cellular or synergistic mechanisms of rehabilitation therapies to promote the effect of rehabilitation ***,we discussed different animal and in vitro models of ischaemic stroke for rehabilitation studies;the compound concept and technology of neurological rehabilitation;all kinds of biological mechanisms of physical therapy;the significance,assessment and efficacy of neurological rehabilitation;the application of brain–computer interface,rehabilitation robotic and non-invasive brain stimulation technology in stroke rehabilitation.

Unique physiopathological characteristics of tumor tissues impose obstacles to the sufficient penetration of traditional nanomedicines,resulting in undesirable drug delivery efficacy and therapeutic ***,we constructed TRAIL-[NDHCPT]^(GAC),a synergistic hydroxycamptothecin(HCPT)and tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand(TRAIL)protein co-loaded disk-shaped nanocarrier withγ-glutamyl transpeptidase *** the novel nanodisks extravasated into the tumor interstitium,theγ-glutamyl transpeptidase overexpressed on the tumor cell membranes cleaved theγ-glutamyl portions of the nanodisk surface to produce positively charged amino *** a result,the cationic nanodisks possessed stronger tumor infiltration ability through transcytosis than anionic *** and TRAIL exerted synergistic antitumor effects with better overall therapeutic *** TRAIL-[ND-HCPT]^(GAC)system performed significantly better than free HCPT and remarkably prolonged the survival of breast tumor-bearing mice with no significant toxicity.

Chemotherapeutics can induce immunogenic cell death(ICD)in tumor cells,offering new possibilities for cancer ***,the efficiency of the immune response generated is insufficient due to the inhibitory nature of the tumor microenvironment(TME).Here,we developed a pH/reactive oxygen species(ROS)dual-response system to enhance chemoimmunotherapy for *** system productively accumulated in tumors by specific binding of phenylboronic acid(PBA)to sialic acids(SA).The nanoparticles(NPs)rapidly swelled and released quercetin(QUE)and doxorubicin(DOX)upon the stimulation of tumor microenvironment(TME).The in vitro and in vivo results consistently demonstrated that the NPs improved anti-tumor efficacy and prolonged survival of mice,significantly enhancing the effects of the *** study revealed DOX was an ICD inducer,stimulating immune responses and promoting maturation of dendritic cells(DCs).Additionally,QUE served as a TME regulator by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2(COX2)-prostaglandin E2(PGE2)axis,which influenced various immune cells,including increasing cytotoxic T cells(CLTs)infiltration,promoting M1 macrophage polarization,and reducing regulatory T cells(Tregs)*** combination synergistically facilitated chemoimmunotherapy efficacy by remodeling the immunosuppressive *** work presents a promising strategy to increase anti-tumor efficiency of chemotherapeutic agents.

Osteosarcoma is usually resistant to immunotherapy and,thus primarily relies on surgical resection and high-dosage ***,less invasive or toxic therapies such as photothermal therapy(PTT)and chemodynamic therapy(CDT)generally failed to show satisfactory *** multimodal therapies with proper safety profiles may provide better solutions for ***,a simple nanocomposite that synergistically combines CDT,PTT,and chemotherapy for osteosarcoma treatment was *** this composite,small 2D Ni Fe-LDH flakes were processed into 3D hollow nanospheres via template methods to encapsulate 5-Fluorouracil(5-FU)with high loading *** nanospheres were then adsorbed onto larger 2D Ti3C2MXene monolayers and finally shielded by bovine serum albumin(BSA)to form 5-FU@Ni Fe-LDH/Ti3C2/BSA nanoplatforms(5NiTiB).Both in vitro and in vivo data demonstrated that the 5-FU induced chemotherapy,Ni Fe-LDH driven chemodynamic effects,and MXene-based photothermal killing collectively exhibited a synergistic“all-in-one”anti-tumor effect.5NiTiB improved tumor suppression rate from<5%by 5-FU alone to~80.1%.This nanotherapeutic platform achieved higher therapeutic efficacy with a lower agent dose,thereby minimizing side ***,the composite is simple to produce,enabling the fine-tuning of dosages to suit different ***,the platform is versatile and efficient,with potential for further development.

Chemotherapy resistance plays a pivotal role in the prognosis and therapeutic failure of patients with colorectal cancer(CRC).Cisplatin(DDP)-resistant cells exhibit an inherent ability to evade the toxic chemotherapeutic drug effects which are characterized by the activation of slow-cycle programs and DNA *** the elements that lead to DDP resistance,O^(6)-methylguanine(O^(6)-MG)-DNA-methyltransferase(MGMT),a DNA-repair enzyme,performs a quintessential *** this study,we clarify the significant involvement of MGMT in conferring DDP resistance in CRC,elucidating the underlying mechanism of the regulatory actions of MGMT.A notable upregulation of MGMT in DDP-resistant cancer cells was found in our study,and MGMT repression amplifies the sensitivity of these cells to DDP treatment in vitro and in ***,in cancer cells,MGMT overexpression abolishes their sensitivity to DDP ***,the interaction between MGMT and cyclin dependent kinase 1(CDK1)inducing slow-cycling cells is attainted via the promotion of ubiquitination degradation of ***,to achieve nonhomologous end joining,MGMT interacts with XRCC6 to resist chemotherapy *** transcriptome data from samples of 88 patients with CRC suggest that MGMT expression is co-related with the Wnt signaling pathway activation,and several Wnt inhibitors can repress drug-resistant *** summary,our results point out that MGMT is a potential therapeutic target and predictive marker of chemoresistance in CRC.

Background The prevalence of congenital diaphragmatic hernia(CDH)varies across countries,with limited information available on its epidemiology in *** study aimed to investigate the prevalence,time trends,and perinatal outcomes of CDH in China,as well as its associated malformations and potential associations with maternal and infant *** This study included all birth and CDH cases from the Chinese Birth Defects Monitoring Network between 2007 and 2019,with CDH cases classified as either isolated or *** employed the joinpoint regression model to calculate the trends of prevalence and the annual percent change,with Poisson regression used for adjusted prevalence rate ratios.A P value≤0.05 was considered statistically *** A total of 4397 CDH cases were identified among 24,158,029 births in the study period,yielding prevalence rates of 1.82,1.13 and 0.69 per 10,000 for overall,isolated,and associated CDH,*** prevalence of each type of CDH increased over *** prevalence of overall CDH varied significantly by infant sex(male ***,1.91/10,000 vs.1.63/10,000),maternal residence(urban ***,2.13/10,000 vs.1.45/10,000),maternal age(<20 years,1.31/10,000;20-24 years,1.63/10,000;25-29 years,1.80/10,000;30-34 years,1.87/10,000;≥35 years,2.22/10,000),and geographic region(central,1.64/10,000;east,2.45/10,000;west,1.37/10,000).Cardiovascular anomalies were the most common malformations associated with *** with associated CDH had a higher risk of premature birth and perinatal death than those with isolated *** The increasing prevalence and high perinatal mortality rate of CDH highlight the need for further etiological,epidemiological,and clinical studies among the Chinese population.
