This paper presents a short contribution in air transportation, specifically in scheduling aircraft (plane) landings at Léopol Sédar Senghor (LSS) airport of Dakar. The safety of air navigation of LSS is managed by ASECNA: Agency for Air Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar. Scheduling aircraft landing is the problem of deciding a landing time on an appropriate runway for each aircraft in a given set of aircraft such that each aircraft lands within a predetermined time window. The separation criteria between the landing of an aircraft, and the landing of all successive aircraft, are respected. Our objective is to minimize the cost of deviation from the target times. We present a mixed-integer 0 - 1 formulation for the single runway case. Numerical experiments and comparisons based on real datasets of LSS airport are presented.

Photoelectron diffraction is an effective tool to probe the structures of *** higher the photoelectron kinetic energy is,the higher order the diffraction pattern is disclosed *** to date,either the multi-atomic molecule with the photoelectron kinetic energy below 150 e V or the diatomic molecule with 735 eV photoelectron has been experimentally *** this study,we measured the diffraction pattern of C 1 s and O 1 s photoelectrons in CO_(2)with 319.7 and 433.5 eV kinetic energies,*** extracted C–O bond lengths are longer than the C–O bond length at the ground state,which is attributed to the asymmetric fragmentation that preferentially occurs at the longer chemical bond side during the zero-energy asymmetric vibration.

The objective of the study was to research the aroma profile of volatile compounds in garlic subspecies originating from Latvia, and compare them with the aroma composition of garlic grown in the region of Midi-Pyrenees （france）. It was established that hard-neck garlic tends to contain more diallyl disulfide （DADS）, the main decomposition product of allicin. Compared to the hard-neck subspecies, the content of allyl mercaptan, one of the major compounds producing the strong odor detectable after ingestion of garlic, was significantly lower in the soft-neck garlic clones. The amount of cyclic compound 3-vinyl-1,2-dithiin differed considerably with higher contents in the soft-neck subspecies. The results also demonstrate the soft-neck garlic as a more suitable subspecies for long-term storage. In general, the results show no significant difference in the content of DADS and the total content of other flavor compounds between hard-neck and soft-neck garlic grown in the region of Midi-Pyrenees and Latvia. However, comparing garlic subspecies originating from france and Latvia by the content of allyl mercaptan, 1,2-dithiolane and 3-vinyl-1,2-dithiin, a considerable proportional difference of these volatiles was determined. Also, a significant difference was established in the content of DADS between the white garlic variety ＂Blanc de Lomagne＂（france, region of Midi-Pyrenees） and white garlic grown in other countries. The results of this study suggest the suitability of solid phase microextraction （SPME） and gas chromatography （GC） methods for quality control of garlic originating from france.

Monolithic integration of Ⅲ-Ⅴ lasers with small footprint, good coherence, and low power consumption based on a CMOS-compatible Si substrate have been known as an efficient route towards high-density optical interconnects in the photonic integrated circuits. However, the material dissimilarities between Si and Ⅲ-Ⅴ materials limit the performance of monolithic microlasers. Here, under the pumping condition of a continuous-wave 632.8 nm He–Ne gas laser at room temperature, we achieved an InAs/GaAs quantum dot photonic crystal bandedge laser, which is directly grown on an on-axis Si(001) substrate, which provides a feasible route towards a low-cost and large-scale integration method for light sources on the Si platform.

This paper rejuvenates the notion of conformance testing in order to assess the security of networks. It leverages the Testing and Test Control Notation Version 3 (TTCN-3) by applying it to a redefined notion of System under Test (SUT). Instead of testing, as it is classically done, a software/firmware/ hardware element, an intangible object, namely the network, is tested in order to infer some of its security properties. After a brief introduction of TTCN-3 and Titan, its compilation and execution environment, a couple of use cases are provided to illustrate the feasibility of the approach. The pros and cons of using TTCN-3 to implement a scalable and flexible network testing environment are discussed.
