Condensed and hydrolysable tannins are non-toxic natural polyphenols that are a commercial commodity industrialized for tanning hides to obtain leather and for a growing number of other industrial applications mainly to substitute petroleum-based *** are a definite class of sustainable materials of the forestry *** have been in operation for hundreds of years to manufacture leather and now for a growing number of applications in a variety of other industries,such as wood adhesives,metal coating,pharmaceutical/medical applications and several *** review presents the main sources,either already or potentially commercial of this forestry by-materials,their industrial and laboratory extraction systems,their systems of analysis with their advantages and drawbacks,be these methods so simple to even appear primitive but nonetheless of proven effectiveness,or very modern and *** constitutes a basic but essential summary of what is necessary to know of these sustainable *** doing so,the review highlights some of the main challenges that remain to be addressed to deliver the quality and economics of tannin supply necessary to fulfill the industrial production requirements for some materials-based uses.

Surface acoustic wave(SAW)gas sensors based on the acoustoelectric effect exhibit wide application prospects for in situ gas ***,establishing accurate models for calculating the scattering parameters of SAW gas sensors remains a ***,we present a coupling of modes(COM)model that includes the acoustoelectric effect and specifically explains the nonmonotonic variation in the center frequency with respect to the sensing film’s sheet *** sensing parameters of the gas sensors,including the center frequency,insertion loss,and phase,were experimentally compared for accuracy and ***,the frequency of the phase extremum(FPE)shift was determined to vary monotonically,and the range of selectable test points was wide,making the FPE an appropriate response parameter for leveraging in SAW gas *** simulation results of the COM model were highly consistent with the experimental *** study is proposed to provide theoretical guidance for the future development of gas SAW sensors.

The immune response holds a pivotal role in cardiovascular disease *** multifunctional cells of the innate immune system,macrophages play an essential role in initial inflammatory response that occurs following cardiovascular injury,thereby inducing subsequent damage while also facilitating ***,the diverse phenotypes and phenotypic alterations of macrophages strongly associate with distinct types and severity of cardiovascular diseases,including coronary heart disease,valvular disease,myocarditis,cardiomyopathy,heart failure,atherosclerosis and aneurysm,which underscores the importance of investigating macrophage regulatory mechanisms within the context of specific ***,recent strides in single-cell sequencing technologies have revealed macrophage heterogeneity,cell–cell interactions,and downstream mechanisms of therapeutic targets at a higher resolution,which brings new perspectives into macrophage-mediated mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets in cardiovascular ***,myocardial fibrosis,a prevalent characteristic in most cardiac diseases,remains a formidable clinical challenge,necessitating a profound investigation into the impact of macrophages on myocardial fibrosis within the context of cardiac *** this review,we systematically summarize the diverse phenotypic and functional plasticity of macrophages in regulatory mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases and unprecedented insights introduced by singlecell sequencing technologies,with a focus on different causes and characteristics of diseases,especially the relationship between inflammation and fibrosis in cardiac diseases(myocardial infarction,pressure overload,myocarditis,dilated cardiomyopathy,diabetic cardiomyopathy and cardiac aging)and the relationship between inflammation and vascular injury in vascular diseases(atherosclerosis and aneurysm).Finally,we also highlight the preclinical/clinical macrophage targeting strategies and translational

Aims:Although the application of ultrasound-guided vascular puncture and Z-stitch hemostasis to manage femoral access has been widely utilized,there is limited data on this combined application in adult congenital heart disease(ACHD)patients undergoing electrophysiological(EP)*** sought to evaluate the safety and efﬁcacy of ultrasound-guided puncture and postprocedural Z-stitch hemostasis for ACHD patients under-going EP *** and Results:The population of ACHD patients undergoing transfemoral EP pro-cedures at the university of Zurich heart center between January 2019 and December 2022 was observed and *** the study period,femoral access(left/right,arterial/venous)was performed under real-time ultrasound *** the end of the procedure,a single Z-stitch was performed at the puncture *** eval-uated the incidence of in-hospital complications associated with femoral access puncture in this *** 101 patients who had a total of 147 previous ipsilateral vascular punctures(mean 1.5 per person),100 patients underwent successful femoral vascular access for EP *** median age of the patients was 47±15 years and 34(34%)were male.Z-stitches were performed after the procedure in 100 patients with 303 femoral vascular accesses(mean 3 punctures per person).No patient developed vascular puncture relevant inguinal hematoma,pseudo aneurysm,arteriovenousﬁstula,venous or arterial ***:In ACHD patients undergoing EP procedures,optimal femoral access management can be achieved with ultra-sound-guided puncture and postprocedural Z-stitch hemostasis.

Cardiovascular diseases(CVD)are the leading cause of death in the world and one of the most common diseases in the elderly,with high prevalence and poor prognosis,which seriously affect the health of the elder *** report showed that global deaths from CVD increased from 12.4 million in 1990 to 19.8 million in 2022,reflecting the global population growth and aging,as well as the impact of metabolic,environmental,and behavioral risks.[1]With the progress of aging population,the burden of CVD in the elderly in China has increased year by year,and factors including multiple complications,organ function decline,and high complication rate have made the interventional treatment of CVD in the elderly one of the difficulties and focuses in the field of cardiology in China.
