Flexible regulation engineering of titanium nitride nanofibrous membranes for efficient electromagnetic microwave absorption in wide temperature spectrum

Simultaneous development of well impedance matching and strong loss capability has become a mainstream method for achieving outstanding electromagnetic microwave absorption(EMWA)performances over wide temperature ***,it is difficult to pursue both due to the mutual restraint of relationship between impedance matching and loss capability about ***,we propose a flexible regulation engineering of titanium nitride(TiN)nanofibrous membranes(NMs,TNMs),which could be distributed uniformly in the polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)matrix and contributed to the formation of abundant local conductive networks,generating the local conductive loss and enhancing the loss ability of ***,when the TNMs are used as functional units and dispersed in the matrix,the corresponding composites exhibit an outstanding anti-reflection effect on *** hoped,under the precondition of good impedance matching,local conductive loss and polarization loss together improve the loss capacity at room temperature,and polarization loss can compensate the local conductive loss to acquire effective dielectric response at elevated *** from the reasonably synergistic loss ability caused by flexible regulation engineering,the corresponding composites exhibit the perfect EMWA performances in a wide temperature range from 298 to 573 *** work not only elaborates the ponderable insights of independent membrane in the composition-structure-function connection,but also provides a feasible tactic for resolving coexistence of well impedance matching and strong loss capability issues in wide temperature spectrum.

Exploring the potential of constructing a hybrid supercapacitor with FeCoNi-LDH porous material containing oxygen vacancies for high-performance energy storage applications

A significant challenge in developing high-performance hybrid supercapacitors(HSCs)is the need to reasonably construct advanced architectures that consist of various components and exhibit superior electrochemical capacitance *** FeCoNi-layered double hydroxide(FeCoNi-LDH)porous material has a specific capacitance of 1960 F·g^(-1)when used as the anode material at 1 A·g^(-1).The FeCoNi-LDH material exhibits nanoplates with a distinct spindle morphology on their *** to the combined action of the three metals and abundant oxygen vacancies,they exhibit unique rate performance and cycle *** electronic structure of LDH and the regulation of oxygen vacancy were confirmed by density functional theory(DFT)*** suggests that the strength of hydroxide can reduce the energy required for oxygen vacancy formation in FeCoNi-LDH nanosheets and enhance ion and charge transfer,as well as electrolyte adsorption on the electrode *** FeCoNi-LDH//activated carbon(AC)HSC has an energy density of 53.2 Wh·kg^(-1)at a power density of 800 W·kg^(-1),surpassing other devices composed of comparable materials during the same *** study made significant advances in the design and synthesis of a ternary LDH porous structure with distinct oxygen vacancies,as well as its potential application in electrochemical energy storage.

Bright InP quantum dots by Ga-doping for red emitters

Environment-friendly indium phosphide(InP)-based quantum dots(QDs)with efficient red-emitting properties are sufficiently needed to satisfy the requirement of burgeoning display and lighting ***,the syntheses of InP QDs using tris(trimethylsilyl)phosphine as the precursor are highly toxic and ***,we successfully introduced gallium(Ga)ions into tris(dimethylamino)phosphine-based red InP cores through thermally-promoted cation exchange,and the obtained Ga-doped InP cores exhibited significantly increased photoluminescence quantum yields(PLQY)of up to 26%.The existence of Ga was directly confirmed by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and the functions of Ga were systematically *** subsequent coating of Ga-doped InP cores with ZnSeS and ZnS shells,the resulting Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs achieved a high PLQY of 62%with an emission maximum at 640 *** contrast,without Ga-doping,the PLQY only attained 36%using the same synthetic *** indicated an approximate 1.7-fold increase in *** enhancement of photoluminescence was related to the Ga^(3+),as it not only passivated surface defects of InP cores but also reduced core–shell interface *** Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs exhibited good stability towards heat treatment and ultraviolet(UV)***,the red light-emitting diode(LED)based on Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs performed well in a wide injected current range of 2 to 200 mA,with a maximum power efficiency of 0.68 lm/*** work showcases Ga-doping through cation exchange as a promising strategy for enhancing the efficiency of InP-based red emitters.

Constrained clustering with weak label prior

Clustering is widely exploited in data *** has been proved that embedding weak label prior into clustering is effective to promote its *** researches mainly focus on only one type of ***,in many real scenarios,two kinds of weak label prior information,e.g.,pairwise constraints and cluster ratio,are easily obtained or already *** to incorporate them to improve clustering performance is important but rarely *** propose a novel constrained Clustering with Weak Label Prior method(CWLP),which is an integrated *** the unified spectral clustering model,the pairwise constraints are employed as a regularizer in spectral embedding and label proportion is added as a constraint in spectral *** approximate a variant of the embedding matrix more precisely,we replace a cluster indicator matrix with its scaled *** of fixing an initial similarity matrix,we propose a new similarity matrix that is more suitable for deriving clustering *** for the theoretical convergence and computational complexity analyses,we validate the effectiveness of CWLP through several benchmark datasets,together with its ability to discriminate suspected breast cancer patients from healthy *** experimental evaluation illustrates the superiority of our proposed approach.

Cumulative Exposure to Natural Hazards and Mental Health in China: Are Older People More Vulnerable or More Resilient Than Younger and Middle-Aged Adults?

Despite the well-documented impacts of single natural hazards like earthquakes, less is known about the psychological adaptation to multiple natural hazards, particularly in rural areas. This study investigated the associations of multiple natural hazards with depression among Chinese adults. Data were retrieved from the China Family Panel Studies conducted during 2010–2018. With a sample of 11,633 Chinese adults, multilevel logistic regression was employed to examine the relationships between natural hazard exposure and depression in the total sample and different age groups. Overall, experiencing four or more natural hazards was associated with a higher risk of being depressed. Regarding hazard type, the number of hydrometeorological and biological hazards was associated with a higher likelihood of depression, whereas the number of geologic and other hazards was related to a lower risk of depression. Middle-aged adults from villages were more likely to be affected by natural hazard exposure than older and younger adults. The findings of this study show that cumulative exposure to natural hazards can generate lasting effects on depressive symptoms, particularly in middle adulthood. The findings also suggest that older adults from rural areas may have accumulated more resilience to mitigate the adverse well-being effects of hazard events. Policies and interventions should enhance disaster awareness and preparation for aging residents from multi-hazard communities.

A Fluorine-Functionalized 3D Covalent Organic Framework with Entangled 2D Layers

Constructing three dimensional(3D)covalent organic frameworks(COFs)through the entanglement of two dimensional(2D)nets is a promising but underdeveloped ***,we report the design and synthesis of a fluorine functionalized 3DCOF(3D-An-COF-F)formed by entangled 2D sql *** structure of 3D-An-COF-F was determined by the combination of continuous rotation electron diffraction technique and modelling based on the chemical information from real ***,compared to the isostructural 3D-An-COF without F atom s,3DAn-COF-F showed an improved CO_(2)sorption ability and higher CO_(2)/N_(2)*** study not only demonstrated the generality of constructing 3D COFs with entangled 2D nets by introducing bulky groups vertically in planar building blocks,but also will expand the diversity of 3D COFs for various applications.

Modularized viromimetic polymer nanoparticle vaccines(VPNVaxs) to elicit durable and effective humoral immune responses

Virus-like particle(VLP) vaccines had shown great potential during the COVID-19 pandemic, and was thought to be the next generation of antiviral vaccine technology due to viromimetic structures. However,the time-consuming and complicated processes in establishing a current recombinant-protein–based VLP vaccine has limited its quick launch to the out-bursting pandemic. To simplify and optimize VLP vaccine design, we herein report a kind of viromimetic polymer nanoparticle vaccine(VPNVax), with subunit receptor-binding domain(RBD) proteins conjugated to the surface of polyethylene glycol-b-polylactic acid(PEG-b-PLA) nanoparticles for vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. The preparation of VPNVax based on synthetic polymer particle and chemical post-conjugation makes it possible to rapidly replace the antigens and construct matched vaccines at the emergence of different viruses. Using this modular preparation system, we identified that VPNVax with surface protein coverage of 20%–25% had the best immunostimulatory activity, which could keep high levels of specific antibody titers over 5 months and induce virus neutralizing activity when combined with an aluminum adjuvant. Moreover, the polymer nano-vectors could be armed with more immune-adjuvant functions by loading immunostimulant agents or chemical chirality design. This VPNVax platform provides a novel kind of rapidly producing and efficient vaccine against different variants of SARS-CoV-2 as well as other viral pandemics.

Polymeric carbon nitride has been widely developed as a promising photocatalyst for solar hydrogen production via photocatalytic water ***,pristine carbon nitride prepared by traditional solid-state polymerization usually encounters issues such as rapid carrier recombination and insufficient absorption of visible light below 460 ***,poly(heptazine imide)with a distinctive nanoplate structure was synthesized in a binary molten salt of NaCl–CaCl_(2).The salt template allows the formation of the thin nanoplate structure,which promotes the charge separation and ***,the intercalation of Ca^(2+)ions between the conjugated layers endows the activation of n–π*electron transition due to the distortion of in-plane heptazine ***,the optimized poly(heptazine imide)nanoplates achieve an apparent quantum efficiency of up to 17.3%at 500 nm for photocatalytic hydrogen production from *** work shares new idea for rational control of the optical absorption and charge carrier dynamics of poly(heptazine imide).
