The inertial navigation system(INS),which is frequently used in emergency rescue operations and other situations,has the benefits of not relying on infrastructure,high positioning frequency,and strong real-time ***,the intricate and unpredictable pedestrian motion patterns lead the INS localization error to significantly diverge with *** paper aims to enhance the accuracy of zero-velocity interval(ZVI)detection and reduce the heading and altitude drift of foot-mounted INS via deep learning and equation constraint of dual *** at the observational noise problem of low-cost inertial sensors,we utilize a denoising autoencoder to automatically eliminate the inherent *** at the problem that inaccurate detection of the ZVI detection results in obvious displacement error,we propose a sample-level ZVI detection algorithm based on the U-Net neural network,which effectively solves the problem of mislabeling caused by sliding *** at the problem that Zero-Velocity Update(ZUPT)cannot suppress heading and altitude error,we propose a bipedal INS method based on the equation constraint and ellipsoid constraint,which uses foot-to-foot distance as a new observation to correct heading and altitude *** conduct extensive and well-designed experiments to evaluate the performance of the proposed *** experimental results indicate that the position error of our proposed method did not exceed 0.83% of the total traveled distance.

In recent years,the advancement of artificial intelligence techniques has led to significant interest in reinforcement learning(RL)within the traffic and transportation *** traffic control has emerged as a prominent application field for RL in traffic *** paper presents a comprehensive survey of RL studies in dynamic traffic control,addressing the challenges associated with implementing RL-based traffic control strategies in practice,and identifying promising directions for future *** first part of this paper provides a comprehensive overview of existing studies on RL-based traffic control strategies,encompassing their model designs,training algorithms,and evaluation *** is found that only a few studies have isolated the training and testing environments while evaluating their RL ***,we examine the challenges involved in implementing existing RL-based traffic control *** investigate the learning costs associated with online RL methods and the transferability of offline RL methods through simulation *** simulation results reveal that online training methods with random exploration suffer from high exploration and learning ***,the performance of offline RL methods is highly reliant on the accuracy of the training *** limitations hinder the practical implementation of existing RL-based traffic control *** final part of this paper summarizes and discusses a few existing efforts which attempt to overcome these *** review highlights a rising volume of studies dedicated to mitigating the limitations of RL strategies,with the specific aim of enhancing their practical implementation in recent years.

Transportation networks are sized to efficiently achieve some set of service *** particular circumstances,such as the COVID-19 pandemic,the demand for transportation can significantly change,both qualitatively and quantitatively,resulting in an over-capacitated and less efficient *** this paper,we address this issue by proposing a framework for resizing the network to efficiently cope with the new *** framework includes a model to determine an optimal transportation sub-network that guarantees the following:(i)the minimal access time from any node of the urban network to the new sub-network has not excessively increased compared to that of the original transportation network;(ii)the delay induced on any itinerary by the removal of nodes from the original transportation network has not excessively increased;and(iii)the number of removed nodes from the transportation network is within a preset known factor.A solution is optimal if it induces a minimal global *** modelled this problem as a Mixed Integer Linear Program and applied it to the public bus transportation network of Lyon,France,in a case *** order to respond to operational issues,the framework also includes a decision tool that helps the network planners to decide which bus lines to close and which ones to leave open according to specific trade-off *** results on real data in Lyon show that the optimal sub-network from the MILP model can be used to feed the decision tool,leading to operational scenarios for network planners.

Sagittal knee laxity is often quantified using arthrometers. Adding rotational laxity and compliance measurementsis relatively new and could bring new information for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury diagnosis. TheDYNEELAX® is a new knee arthrometer able to evaluate simultaneously tibial translation and rotation. Thepurpose is to assess the sensitivity, reproducibility and repeatability of the DYNEELAX® with a prototype leg toprovide accurate instructions before using it in clinical practice. Sensitivity is studied by varying 7 parameters(positioning and sensors), and reproducibility by repeating measurement series with a group of two experiencedoperators and a group of two non-experienced operators. Repeatability is assessed throughout the study. Theresults showed that DYNEELAX® is poorly sensitive to the angle and the position of the displacement sensor, andthe angle of the rotation sensor. It is a bit sensitive to positioning of patella and ankle supports. It is very sensitiveto the tightening of the patella and ankle supports. It exists a significant difference only between groups (p 0.215), or between thetwo non-experienced operators (p > 0.229). Variation coefficients for intra-series are on average inferior to 5% fortranslation and rotation tests. Then, the DYNEELAX® presented encouraging results with a good accuracy and agood reliability but operators must be careful about positioning.

In the context of constructing an embedded system to help visually impaired people to interpret text,in this paper,an efficient High-level synthesis(HLS)Hardware/Software(HW/SW)design for text extraction using the Gamma Correction Method(GCM)is ***,the GCM is a common method used to extract text from a complex color image and *** purpose of this work is to study the complexity of the GCM method on Xilinx ZCU102 FPGA board and to propose a HW implementation as Intellectual Property(IP)block of the critical blocks in this method using HLS flow with taking account the quality of the text *** IP is integrated and connected to the ARM Cortex-A53 as coprocessor in HW/SW codesign *** experimental results show that theHLS HW/SW implementation of the GCM method on ZCU102 FPGA board allows a reduction in processing time by about 89%compared to the SW *** result is given for the same potency and strength of SW implementation for the text extraction.

To better understand the salinity effect on the compaction behaviour of soil,standard Proctor compaction test was conducted on soil samples with different *** suction and small-strain shear modulus,G_(max),were determined and pore size distribution was also investigated on samples statically compacted at different water *** showed that with the decrease of soil salinity from initial value of 2.1‰(g of salt/kg of dry soil)to zero,the maximum dry density increased and the optimum water content decreased,whereas there was no significant change with the increase of soil salinity from 2.1‰ to 6.76‰.Interestingly,it was observed that G_(max) also decreased when the soil salinity decreased from initial value of 2.1‰ to zero and kept almost constant when the soil salinity increased from 2.1‰ to 6.76‰,for dry samples with similar matric suction and also for samples compacted at optimum state and on wet side whose matric suctions were slightly different due to the difference in remoulded water ***,the effect of salinity on compaction behaviour and G_(max) decreased for samples compacted from dry side to wet *** pore size distribution exhibited bi-modal characteristics with two populations of micro-and macro-pores not only for samples compacted on dry side and at optimum state,but also for those compacted on wet *** examination showed that the modal size of micro-pores shifted to lower values and that of macro-pores shifted to higher values for saline soil compared to the soil without salt.

The covid pandemic points out inconsistencies and points to improve in the organization of healthcare logistics. Indeed, the dangerousness and the propagation process of the virus imply to increase health security (patient and personal health). In this context, healthcare logistics flows require a new and safety organization improving the hospital performance. The purpose of this paper consists in optimizing healthcare logistics flows by solving problems associated to the internal logistics such as reduction of the personal health wasting time and the protection of both patients and personal health. Then, the methodology corresponds to the use of the hospital sustainable digital transformation as a response to healthcare flows and safety problems. Indeed, social, societal and environmental aspects have to be considered in addition to new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoTs), Big data and analytics. These parameters could be used in the healthcare for increasing doctor, nurse, caregiver performance during their daily operations, and patient satisfaction. Indeed, this hospital digital transformation requires the use of large data associated to patients and personal health, algorithms, a performance measurement tool (actual and future state) and a general approach for transforming digitally the hospital flows. The paper findings show that the healthcare logistics performance could be improved with a sustainable digital transformation methodology and an intelligent software tool. This paper aims to develop this healthcare logistics 4.0 methodology and to elaborate the intelligent support system. After an introduction presenting the common hospital flows and their main problems, a literature review will be detailed for showing how existing concepts could contribute to the elaboration of a structured methodology.
