Internet of things (IoT) devices make up 30%of all network-connected endpoints,introducing vulnerabilities and novel attacks that make many companies as primary targets for *** address this increasing threat surface,every organization deploying IoT devices needs to consider security risks to ensure those devices are secure and *** all the solutions for security risks,firmware security analysis is essential to fix software bugs,patch vulnerabilities,or add new security features to protect users of those vulnerable ***,firmware security analysis has never been an easy job due to the diversity of the execution environment and the close source of *** two distinct features complicate the operations to unpack firmware samples for detailed *** also make it difficult to create visual environments to emulate the running of device *** researchers have developed many novel methods to overcome various challenges in the past decade,critical barriers impede firmware security analysis in ***,this survey is motivated to systematically review and analyze the research challenges and their solutions,considering both breadth and ***,based on the analysis perspectives,various methods that perform security analysis on IoT devices are introduced and classified into four *** challenges in each category are discussed in detail,and potential solutions are proposed *** then discuss the flaws of these solutions and provide future directions for this research *** survey can be utilized by a broad range of readers,including software developers,cyber security researchers,and software security engineers,to better understand firmware security analysis.

Biosynthesis of Biocompatible Cadmium Telluride Quantum Dots Using Yeast Cells

We demonstrate a simple and efficient biosynthesis method to prepare easily harvested biocompatible cadmium telluride(CdTe)quantum dots(QDs)with tunable fluorescence emission using yeast ***-visible(UV-vis)spectroscopy,photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)confirm that the CdTe QDs are formed via an extracellular growth and subsequent endocytosis pathway and have size-tunable optical properties with fluorescence emission from 490 to 560 nm and a cubic zinc blende structure with good *** particular,the CdTe QDs with uniform size(2-3.6 nm)are protein-capped,which makes them highly soluble in water,and in situ bio-imaging in yeast cells indicates that the biosynthesized QDs have good *** work provides an economic and environmentally friendly approach to synthesize highly fluorescent biocompatible CdTe QDs for bio-imaging and bio-labeling applications.

Platooning represents one of the key features that connected automated vehicles may possess as it allows multiple automated vehicles to be maneuvered cooperatively with small headways on roads. However, a critical challenge in accomplishing automated vehicle platoons is to deal with the effects of intermittent and sporadic vehicle-to-vehicle data transmissions caused by limited wireless communication resources. This paper addresses the co-design problem of dynamic event-triggered communication scheduling and cooperative adaptive cruise control for a convoy of automated vehicles with diverse spacing policies. The central aim is to achieve automated vehicle platooning under various gap references with desired platoon stability and spacing performance requirements, while simultaneously improving communication efficiency. Toward this aim, a dynamic event-triggered scheduling mechanism is developed such that the intervehicle data transmissions are scheduled dynamically and efficiently over time. Then, a tractable co-design criterion on the existence of both the admissible event-driven cooperative adaptive cruise control law and the desired scheduling mechanism is derived. Finally, comparative simulation results are presented to substantiate the effectiveness and merits of the obtained results.

Cyber security has been thrust into the limelight in the modern technological era because of an array of attacks often bypassing tmtrained intrusion detection systems （IDSs）. Therefore, greater attention has been directed on being able deciphering better methods for identifying attack types to train IDSs more effectively. Keycyber-attack insights exist in big data; however, an efficient approach is required to determine strong attack types to train IDSs to become more effective in key areas. despite the rising growth in IDS research, there is a lack of studies involving big data visualization, which is key. The KDD99 data set has served as a strong benchmark since 1999; therefore, we utilized this data set in our experiment. In this study, we utilized hash algorithm, a weight table, and sampling method to deal with the inherent problems caused by analyzing big data; volume, variety, and velocity. By utilizing a visualization algorithm, we were able to gain insights into the KDD99 data set with a clear iden- tification of ＂normal＂ clusters and described distinct clusters of effective attacks.

In recent years,the integration of digital technologies has grown rapidly in the field of thermal comfort and energy efficiency for *** concept of a digital twin,incorporating multiple digital technologies,has gained increasing *** literature lacks a review of the digital twin concept in thermal comfort and energy consumption for existing *** paper conducts a review of the current state-of-the-art in digital twin(DT)technology for thermal comfort/energy consumption in *** review employs a scientometric approach and examines various technologies used in creating DTs and a systematic analysis of the methods,technologies,algorithms,and approaches used in digital twin *** results show a growing number of studies in this area,with a focus on thermal comfort monitoring,visualization,tracking,energy management,prediction,and optimization for existing ***,the prediction of energy consumption using algorithms such as Artificial Neural Networks(ANN),Artificial Intelligence(AI),deep neural networks,and YOLOv4 have been used in ***,the wider adoption of a DT that can facilitate occupants,and thermal sensations,enhance human-centered solutions,and improve energy prediction levels are *** is a need for further international collaboration to expand the studies on digital twins for thermal comfort and energy *** review highlights the limitations and areas of improvement,such as the limited adoption of sensors for environmental measures,the need for more focus on the subjective perception of occupants,and the need for more comparative studies of algorithms for predicting energy *** studies can be conducted in areas such as understanding occupant psychological responses/behaviors to comfort in the digital *** will enhance a more consolidated and robust validation for building performance.

4D printing of soft orthoses for tremor suppression

Tremor is an involuntary and oscillatory movement disorder that makes daily activities difficult for affected patients. Hand tremor-suppression orthoses are noninvasive, wearable devices designed to mitigate tremors. Various studies have shown that these devices are effective, economical, and safe;however, they have drawbacks such as large weight, awkward shape, and rigid parts. This study investigates different types of tremor-suppression orthoses and discusses their efficiency, mechanism,benefits, and disadvantages. First, various orthoses(with passive, semi-active, and active mechanisms) are described in ***, we look at how additive manufacturing(AM) has progressed recently in making sensors and actuators for application in tremor orthoses. Then, the materials used in AM are further analyzed. It is found that traditional manufacturing problems can be solved with the help of AM techniques, like making orthoses that are affordable, lighter, and more customizable. Another concept being discussed is using smart materials and AM methods, such as four-dimensional(4D) printing, to make orthoses that are more comfortable and efficient.
