Background. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) frequently causes leucocytoclastic vasculitis as a result of type II or III cryoglobulinemia. HCV-associated vasculitis without cryoglobulinemia is less common. Patients and methods. A 33-year-old woman consulted for infiltrative necrotic purpura of the lower limbs, responsible for leg ulcers measuring less than 1 cm. Histopathological examination revealed vasculitis affecting the hypodermic arterioles and caused by periarteritis nodosa. No extracutaneous involvement was observed. The patient had presented asymptomatic untreated HVC infection (genotype 3) for two years. Antiviral treatment resulted in elimination of the patient’s viremia and no relapse of skin lesions was observed two years after the end of treatment. Comments. This patient presented vasculitis due to cutaneous nodular periarteritis associated with HVC without cryoglobulinemia. Hepatic impairment was mild and did not require any antiviral treatment. No further skin involvement was seen after treatment with colchicine and because the patient’s viral genotype was favorable, we decided to initiate antiviral therapy. This therapeutic approach should be considered by dermatologists, but it is nevertheless important to assess the risk of interferon-induced aggravation of vasculitis.

Vespa velutina var nigrithorax （Lepelletier, 1835） is an invasive predator of bees accidentally introduced in France in 2004, and it is having a serious impact on apiculture and ecosystems. Studying the reproduction of an invasive species is key to assess its population dynamic. This study explores the sexual maturation of IT. velutina males and the evolution of their fertility. The main studied parameters were physiologic （spermiogenesis, spermatogenesis） and anatomic （testes size and structure, head width）. Two populations of males were described based on their emergence period： early males in early summer or classic males in autumn. Each testis has an average of 108 testicular follicles. Spermatogenesis is synchronous, with only 1 sperm production wave, and completed, on average, at 10.3 d after emergence with the degeneration of the testes. The sperm counts in seminal vesicles of mature males are 3 x 106 in October/November and 0.8 ~ 106 in June. In com- parison, females store 0.1 x 106 sperm in their spermathecae. The early males emerged from colonies made by fertilized queens. The reproductive potential of these early males seemed limited, and their fimction in the colony is discussed. The sperm stock evolution in autumn males suggests the occurrence of a reproductive pattern of male competition for the access to females and a single copulation per male. The synchronicity of male and foundress emergences and sexual maturation is of primary importance for the mating success and the future colony development.

Objectives To estimate the prevalence of malnutrition in elderly cancer patients and its association with frailty and primary cancer treatment recommendations in patients with the two most prevalent cancers(colorectal cancer,CRC and breast cancer,BC)in the Centre-Val de Loire region of *** The entire cohort of 704 patients aged 75 years or older presenting with cancer who underwent comprehensive geriatric assessment(CGA)between 2014 and 2017 was *** status,frailty(defined by the Balducci classification system based on CGA parameters and comorbidity),and pathological criteria were analyzed in terms of the cancer treatment recommendations suggested by geriatricians both in the whole cohort and in those with CRC and *** In the whole group of 704 patients(84.3+/-4.8 years),the prevalence of malnutrition was 62.9%,and was higher in CRC than in BC patients(71.1%vs 55.4%,Pdetermined by the Balducci classification system)were independently related in CRC patients(OR:7.28,95%CI,1.58~34.03;P=0.012)and were unrelated to metastasis[odds ratio(OR):1.34,95%CI,0.56~3.18;P=0.5].By contrast,malnutrition in BC patients was related exclusively to the extent of metastasis(OR:3.52,95%CI,1.50~8.24;P=0.002).It was also demonstrated that geriatricians had a greater tendency to suggest only palliative care to CRC patients presenting with malnutrition(15.4%vs 2.7%,P=0.006)than to BC patients(9.8%vs 5.4%,NS).Conclusion Malnutrition in elderly cancer patients is prevalent,especially in those with colorectal cancer,where malnutrition is frailty-related and may strongly impact on cancer treatment strategies.

Broadband PLC （power line communication） technology is a main factor of the development of digital convergence in the indoor network. It uses the already existing power cable infrastructure for communication purposes. The EM （electromagnetic） field radiating from the cable could, however, disturb other communication systems, and thus should be evaluated. The MoM （method of moment） and the FEM （finite element method） have been studied to estimate the EVI field emitted from the power cable. However, the M oM is difficult to treat the dielectric material of the cable and the FEM is time consuming. This paperpresents a new approach to estimate the radiated EM fields caused by PLC sy stems from the CM current along the cable, based on the transmission line theory. The proposed model has the advantage of using the measured primary parameters of the cable. An experimental analysis of the EM radiation distribution is also presented. A comparison showed that the model results agree quite well with the measurements performed in this study.

目的:制作出体模来评估颅内肿瘤立体定向放疗中所使用的计算机断层扫描(CT)和核磁共振(MRI)影像的质量,以保证放疗的精度。方法:设计和制作出一个可用于评估的体模,并且在与放疗病人影像扫描相同的条件下,将该体模分别放在CT和MRI下进行扫描,最后在Brainlab工作站将几何参数进行对比得到MRI几何失真的大小,同时也可对融合的质量进行评估。结果:制作出的体模满足设计的要求,得到的MRI的几何失真在2mm以内,而勾画靶区体积的准确性超过99%,手工融合的误差在2 mm内,都在报道过的允许的误差范围内,满足了放疗精度的要求。结论:由于病人和机器所引起的MRI几何失真,靶区体积的误差和手工融合产生的误差是不可避免的,我们必须在一定的周期内对这些误差进行评估。实践证明,本文所介绍的体模的方法将是一种简便易行的方法。
