Objective To investigate the impact of microvascular obstruction(MVO)on the global and regional myocardial function by cardiac magnetic resonance feature-tracking(CMR-FT)in sT-segment-elevation myocardial infarction(sTEMI)patients after percutaneous coronary *** Consecutive acute sTEMI patients who underwent cardiac magnetic resonance imaging 1-7 days after successful reperfusion by percutaneous coronary intervention treatment were included in this retrospective *** on the presence or absence of MVO on late gadolinium enhancement images,patients were divided into groups with MVO and without *** infarct zone,adjacent zone,and remote zone were determined based on a myocardial 16-segment *** radial strain(Rs),circumferential strain(Cs),and longitudinal strain(Ls)of the global left ventricle(LV)and the infarct,adjacent,and remote zones were measured by CMRFT from cine images and compared between patients with and without MVO using independent-samples *** regression analysis was used to assess the association of MVO with the impaired LV *** A total of 157 sTEMI patients(mean age 56.66±11.38 years)were *** was detected in 37.58%(59/157)of sTEMI patients,and the mean size of MVO was 3.00±3.76 *** with patients without MVO(n=98),the MVO group had significantly reduced LV global Rs(t=-4.30,Ps(t=4.99,Ps(t=3.51,P=0.001).The Rs and Cs of the infarct zone in patients with MVO were significantly reduced(t=-3.38,P=0.001;t=2.64,P=0.01;respectively)and the infarct size was significantly larger(t=8.37,Ps without *** presence of LV MVO[OR=4.10,95%CI:2.05-8.19,Ps size[OR=1.38,95%CI:1.10-1.72,P=0.01],along with the heart rate and LV infarct size were significantly associated with impaired LV global Cs in univariable Logistic regression analysis,while only heart rate(OR=1.08,95%CI:1.03-1.13,P=0.001)and LV infarct size(OR=1.10,95%CI:1

BACKGROUND The studies of laparoscopic-assisted transhiatal gastrectomy(LTG) in patients with siewert type Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction(AEG) are *** To compare the surgical efficiency of LTG with the open transhiatal gastrectomy(OTG) for patients with siewert type Ⅱ *** We retrospectively evaluated a total of 578 patients with siewert type Ⅱ AEG who have undergone LTG or OTG at the First Medical Center of the chinese people’s liberation army General Hospital from January 2014 to December 2019. The short-term and long-term outcomes were compared between the LTG(n = 382) and OTG(n = 196) *** Compared with the OTG group, the LTG group had a longer operative time but less blood loss, shorter length of abdominal incision and an increased number of harvested lymph nodes(P s in the LTG group were able to eat liquid food, ambulate, expel flatus and discharge sooner than the OTG group(P significant differences were found in postoperative complications and R0 resection. The 3-year overall survival and disease-free survival performed better in the LTG group compared with that in the OTG group(88.2% vs 79.2%, P = 0.011;79.7% vs 73.0%, P = 0.002, respectively). In the stratified analysis, both overall survival and disease-free survival were better in the LTG group than those in the OTG group for stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ patients(P stage I *** For patients with siewert type Ⅱ AEG, LTG is associated with better short-term outcomes and similar oncology safety. In addition, patients with advanced stage AEG may benefit more from LTG in the long-term outcomes.

BACKGROUND Currently,ongoing trials of mesenchymal stem cells(MsC)therapies for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)have been *** In this study,we investigated whether MsCs have therapeutic efficacy in novel COVID-19 *** search terms included stem cell,MsC,umbilical cord blood,novel coronavirus,severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 and COVID-19,applied to Pub Med,the Cochrane Controlled Trials Register,EMBAsE and Web of *** A total of 13 eligible clinical trials met our inclusion criteria with a total of 548 *** analysis showed no significant decrease in C-reactive protein(CRP)levels after stem cell therapy(P=0.11).A reduction of D-dimer levels was also not observed in patients after stem cell administration(P=0.82).Furthermore,interleukin 6(IL-6)demonstrated no decrease after stem cell therapy(P=0.45).Finally,we investigated the overall survival(Os)rate after stem cell therapy in COVID-19 *** was a significant improvement in Os after stem cell therapy;the Os of enrolled patients who received stem cell therapy was 90.3%,whereas that of the control group was 79.8%(P=0.02).CONCLUsION Overall,our analysis suggests that while MsC therapy for COVID-19 patients does not significantly decrease inflammatory markers such as CRP,D-dimer and IL-6,Os is improved.

Aims:surveys and research on the applications of the hepatic venous pressure gradient(HVPG)are important for understanding the current status and future development of this technology in *** article aimed to investigate the status of hepatic venous pressure gradient measurement in China in ***:We investigated the overall status of HVPG technology in China-including hospital distribution,hospital level,annual number of cases,catheters used,average cost,indications,and current challenges by using online *** counting the number and percentages of cases of these results,we hope to clarify the current status of HVPG measurements in ***:According to the survey,85 hospitals in China used HVPG technology in 2022 distributed across 29 provinces.A total of 4989 HVPG measurements were performed in all of the surveyed hospitals in 2022,of which 2813 cases(56.4%)were measured *** average cost of HVPG measurement was 5646.8±2327.9 *** the clinical teams who performed the measurements(sometimes multiple per hospital),94.3%(82/87)used the balloon method,and the majority of the teams(72.4%,63/87)used embolectomy ***:This survey clarified the clinical application status of HVPG in China and confirmed that some medical institutions in China have established a foundation for this *** is still necessary to continue promoting and popularizing this technology in the future.
