The relationships between the global general circulation and the Indian monsoon during active and break phases are investigated with the help of FGGE IIIb *** was found that the ultralong wave component positive and negative height anomalies over Tibet are associated with active and break monsoon phases respectively. This ultralong wave component has significant effect even upto 22°N over the Indian region which is the monsoon trough region. During a monsoon break, the general circulation was found to be more turbulent in the sense that more waves become *** was observed that during a break, blocking prevails over the Siberian region and cold air advection takes place toward Indian region from Siberian region depressing the temperatures over the Indian region by about 1℃. During the break, the Indian region gets connected with higher latitudes by the south winds blowing from polar Soviet regions to the Indian region. From active to break phase the zonal component weakens by about 25% from Indian ocean area right upto Alaskan region, along the east coast of Asia.

Distribution of heavy, light and clay minerals in Late Pleistocene—Holocene deposits from different coastal environments (beaches, lagoons, dunes, relict lakes, ria bays and inlets, open inlets) was analysed. It was established that mineralogical composition of coastal deposits was a result of provenance and its hypergenous changes, transformation of material within transit zone, and accumulative conditions of inshore zone. Contents of stable minerals increase in deposits of the inlets confined to mouths of the small streams and in horizons of the sections, formed during regressive phases. Unstable minerals amount is higher in deposits of inlets, confined to mouths of the large river. The clay mineral fraction of shelf sediments consists mostly of illite. Authigenous pyrites dominate in deposits of ria bays, lagoons and relict lakes, formed during transgressive phases. Volcanic glass, found in deposits, is product of Holocene eruptions of Baegdusan (Baitushen) Volcano.

This paper presents a kind of visual programming, which is called R-technology of programming. The R-technology is independent of any programming language or operating system and the R-chart is in accord with international standard (ISO 8631H). The package of R-technology has been applied to the high level languages such as PASCAL, C, ASSEMBLER, FORTRAN, PL/1, MODULA-2 and RTRAN. This package is applied to computers ranging from mainframes (IBM 370) and minis (VAX) to micros (IBM/PC).

Solid state ^(13)C NMR spectra of a series of naphthol-1 and naphthol-2-arylazo--deriva- tives were studied and compared with respective results in *** of carbon nuclei of naphthalene ring were *** forms of compounds were *** was shown that 4-(p-NO_2C_6H_4)-azonaphthol-1 and 1-(p-NO_2C_6H_4)-azonaphthol-2 in solid state existed ex- clusively in quinohydrazone *** other two compounds——1-(C_6F_5)-azonaphthol-2 and 2-(p- CH_3C_6H_4)-azonaphthol-1 in solid state were not found in the form of individual tautomeric mixtures but in respective tautomeric equilibrium ***,during transition from liquid to solid state, the tautomeric equilibrium was practically *** solid state it was found that rotation around aryl-N bond was hindered in the time scale of NMR spectroscopy.

The-Seychelles Bank and Madagascar Shelf in the western Indian Ocean were explored geologically during a cruise of the R/V "professor Shtokman" in 1986. Using the data of relief, sediment characteristics and their sequences of strata, paleogeographic maps (18,000 a B.P.) of these areas were produced. These maps show that the Bank and the Shelf are carbonate platforms with complicated topography. The data indicate an important role of sea level oscillation in relief development of this area.

In this paper the method of damage measurement of metal structure at the creep is *** contrast to other methods,it allows the measurement of this damage to be carried out in the process of creep test without unloading and cooling of *** damage curves during creep are obtained as a result of test data processing by the suggested *** analysis of these curves leads to a conclusion that the material damage at repture is monotonically decreasing function of the applied *** conclusion is an experimental verification of the theoretical result,obtained earlier.
