Creeping fat and gut microbiota in Crohn’s disease

In this article,we explored the role of adipose tissue,especially mesenteric adipose tissue and creeping fat,and its association with the gut microbiota in the pathophysiology and progression of Crohn’s disease(CD).CD is a form of inflammatory bowel disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract,influenced by genetic predisposition,gut microbiota dysbiosis,and environmental *** microbiota plays a crucial role in modulating immune response and intestinal inflammation and is associated with the onset and progression of ***,visceral adipose tissue,particularly creeping fat,a mesenteric adipose tissue characterized by hypertrophy and fibrosis,has been implicated in CD pathogenesis,inflammation,and *** bacteria from the gut microbiota may translocate into mesenteric adipose tissue,contributing to the formation of creeping fat and influencing CD *** creeping fat may be a protective barrier against bacterial invasion,its expansion can damage adjacent tissues,leading to *** gut microbiota through interventions such as fecal microbiota transplantation,probiotics,and prebiotics has shown potential in managing ***,more research is needed to clarify the mechanisms linking gut dysbiosis,creeping fat,and CD progression and develop targeted therapies for microbiota modulation and fat-related complications in patients with CD.

Effect of increasing densities of Urochloa brizantha cv. Marandu on Eucalyptus urograndis initial development in silvopastoral system

In silvopasture system, the coexistence of eucalyptus seedlings with other species may result in growth reduction, especially during eucalyptus early ***, studies elucidating how forage species affect the eucalyptus growth can provide important information for their rational management aiming to obtain the maximum gain of the system. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of increasing densities of Urochloa brizantha *** in the early development of Eucalyptus urograndis. An experiment was conducted in 20 L pots, in an open and semi-controlled area, during 90 days after planting of eucalyptus. A completely randomized design with four replications was used, in a 6 9 7 factorial system, meaning six evaluation periods and seven densities of U. brizantha: 0(control), 22, 33, 44, 67, 89 and111 plants m^(-2). Fortnightly, eucalyptus height, stem diameter and chlorophyll fluorescence(Fv/Fm) were evaluated. At the end of experimental period, the net assimilation rate, stomatal conductance and transpiration rate of eucalyptus plants were determined, in addition to the dry matter of eucalyptus(leaves and stem) and U. brizantha (leaves). In coexistence with 111 plants m^(-2), eucalyptus had reduction of 63.9% on total dry matter and 72.7% on leaf area, compared to the control. From the density of22 plants m^(-2), U. brizantha negatively interfere significantly the growth of E. urograndis. Up to 8 plants m^(-2) there are no reductions greater than 5% in eucalyptus height and stem diameter.

Up-regulation of tumor necrosis factor-a pathway survival genes and of the receptor TNFR2 in gastric cancer

BACKGROUND Gastric carcinogenesis can be induced by chronic inflammation triggered by Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infection. Tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α and its receptors(TNFR1 and TNFR2) regulate important cellular processes, such as apoptosis and cell survival, and the disruption of which can lead to cancer. This signaling pathway is also modulated by microRNAs(miRNAs), altering gene *** To evaluate the mRNA and miRNAs expression involved in the TNF-α signaling pathway in gastric cancer(GC) tissues and its *** Quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR) by TaqMan? assay was used to quantify the RNA transcript levels of TNF-α signaling pathway(TNF, TNFR1,TNFR2, TRADD, TRAF2, CFLIP, NFKB1, NFKB2, CASP8, CASP3) and miRNAs that targets genes from this pathway(miR-19 a, miR-34 a, miR-103 a, miR-130 a,miR-181 c) in 30 GC fresh tissue samples. Molecular diagnosis of H. pylori was performed by nested PCR for gene HSP60. A miRNA:mRNA interaction network was construct using Cytoscape v3.1.1 from the in silico analysis performed using public *** Up-regulation of cellular survival genes as TNF, TNFR2, TRADD, TRAF2, CFLIP,and NFKB2, besides CASP8 and miR-34 a was observed in GC tissues, whereas mediators of apoptosis such as TNFR1 and CASP3 were down-regulated. When the samples were stratified by histological type, the expression of miR-103 a and miR-130 a was significantly increased in the diffuse-type of GC compared to the intestinal-type. However, no influence of H. pylori infection was observed on the expression levels of mRNA and miRNAs analyzed. Pharmaceutical co-crystals have been explored by many researchers as a strategy to optimize physicochemical properties of solid-state *** improvements of solubility,bioavailability,and the reduced tendency for phase transformation occurrence,are factors that highlight benefits of pharmaceutical co-crystals among other solid *** to the Biopharmaceutical Classification System(BCS),non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)are class Ⅱ drugs,which have low aqueous solubility and therefore co-crystallization has the potential to optimize NSAID product *** this review,we highlight the recent progress made on NSAIDs co-crystals,their co-formers,synthesis,methods and use,while we underline some promising results on in vitro and in vivo co-crystal properties.A celecoxib-tramadol co-crystal reaches phase Ⅲ clinical trials,showing greater analgesic activity than both individual *** aqueous solubility of the co-crystal formed between l-proline and diclofenac is very high in comparison with the pure *** co-crystals with urea and thiourea have an increase of drug release of almost 60%.Co-crystal design brings a new perspective in drug development since the co-former used can also be a biologically active component allowing to combine different anti-inflammatory drugs,which have an incredible spectrum of application due to the analgesic,anti-pyretic and anti-inflammatory properties.

The gut microbiota is a complex community of microorganisms that inhabit the digestive tracts of humans,living in symbiosis with the ***,characterized by an imbalance between the beneficial and opportunistic gut microbiota,is associated with several gastrointestinal disorders,such as irritable bowel syndrome(IBS);inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),represented by ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease;and colorectal cancer(CRC).Dysbiosis can disrupt the mucosal barrier,resulting in perpetuation of inflammation and *** increase in some specific groups of harmful bacteria,such as Escherichia coli(***)and enterotoxigenic Bacteroides fragilis(ETBF),has been associated with chronic tissue inflammation and the release of pro-inflammatory and carcinogenic mediators,increasing the chance of developing CRC,following the inflammationdysplasia-cancer sequence in IBD ***,the aim of the present review was to analyze the correlation between changes in the gut microbiota and the development and maintenance of IBD,CRC,and IBD-associated *** with IBD and CRC have shown reduced bacterial diversity and abundance compared to healthy individuals,with enrichment of Firmicute sand *** bacteria are also associated with the onset and progression of CRC,such as Fusobacterium nucleatum,***,Enterococcus faecalis,Streptococcus gallolyticus,and *** research can evaluate the advantages of modulating the gut microbiota as preventive measures in CRC high-risk patients,directly affecting the prognosis of the disease and the quality of life of patients.
