The emergence of software-defined vehicles(sDVs),combined with autonomous driving technologies,has en-abled a new era of vehicle computing(VC),where vehicles serve as a mobile computing ***,the interdisci-plinary complexities of automotive systems and diverse technological requirements make developing applications for au-tonomous vehicles *** simplify the development of applications running on sDVs,we propose a comprehen-sive suite of vehicle programming interfaces(VPIs).In this study,we rigorously explore the nuanced requirements for ap-plication development within the realm of VC,centering our analysis on the architectural intricacies of the Open Vehicu-lar Data Analytics Platform(OpenVDAP).We then detail our creation of a comprehensive suite of standardized VPIs,spanning five critical categories:Hardware,Data,Computation,service,and Management,to address these evolving pro-gramming *** validate the design of VPIs,we conduct experiments using the indoor autonomous vehicle,Ze-bra,and develop the OpenVDAP prototype *** comparing it with the industry-influential AuTOsAR interface,our VPIs demonstrate significant enhancements in programming efficiency,marking an important advancement in the field of sDV application *** also show a case study and evaluate its *** work highlights that VPIs significantly enhance the efficiency of developing applications on *** meet both current and future technologi-cal demands and propel the software-defined automotive industry toward a more interconnected and intelligent future.

Capabilities to assimilate Geostationary Operational Environmental satellite “R-series ”(GOEs-R) Geostationary Lightning Mapper(GLM) flash extent density(FED) data within the operational Gridpoint statistical Interpolation ensemble Kalman filter(GsI-EnKF) framework were previously developed and tested with a mesoscale convective system(MCs) case. In this study, such capabilities are further developed to assimilate GOEs GLM FED data within the GsI ensemble-variational(EnVar) hybrid data assimilation(DA) framework. The results of assimilating the GLM FED data using 3DVar, and pure En3DVar(PEn3DVar, using 100% ensemble covariance and no static covariance) are compared with those of EnKF/DfEnKF for a supercell storm case. The focus of this study is to validate the correctness and evaluate the performance of the new implementation rather than comparing the performance of FED DA among different DA schemes. Only the results of 3DVar and pEn3DVar are examined and compared with EnKF/DfEnKF. Assimilation of a single FED observation shows that the magnitude and horizontal extent of the analysis increments from PEn3DVar are generally larger than from EnKF, which is mainly caused by using different localization strategies in EnFK/DfEnKF and PEn3DVar as well as the integration limits of the graupel mass in the observation operator. Overall, the forecast performance of PEn3DVar is comparable to EnKF/DfEnKF, suggesting correct implementation.

Assessment of past-climate simulations of regional climate models(RCMs)is important for understanding the reliability of RCMs when used to project future regional ***,we assess the performance and discuss possible causes of biases in a WRF-based RCM with a grid spacing of 50 km,named WRFG,from the North American Regional Climate Change Assessment Program(NARCCAP)in simulating wet season precipitation over the Central united states for a period when observational data are *** RCM reproduces key features of the precipitation distribution characteristics during late spring to early summer,although it tends to underestimate the magnitude of *** dry bias is partially due to the model’s lack of skill in simulating nocturnal precipitation related to the lack of eastward propagating convective systems in the *** in reproducing large-scale circulation and environmental conditions is another contributing *** too weak simulated pressure gradient between the Rocky Mountains and the Gulf of Mexico results in weaker southerly winds in between,leading to a reduction of warm moist air transport from the Gulf to the Central Great *** simulated low-level horizontal convergence fields are less favorable for upward motion than in the NARR and hence,for the development of moist convection as ***,a careful examination of an RCM’s deficiencies and the identification of the source of errors are important when using the RCM to project precipitation changes in future climate scenarios.

Federated learning has emerged as a distributed learning paradigm by training at each client and aggregat-ing at a parameter *** heterogeneity hinders stragglers from responding to the server in time with huge com-munication *** client grouping in federated learning can solve the straggler problem,the stochastic selection strategy in client grouping neglects the impact of data distribution within each ***,current client grouping ap-proaches make clients suffer unfair participation,leading to biased performances for different *** order to guaran-tee the fairness of client participation and mitigate biased local performances,we propose a federated dynamic client selec-tion method based on data representativity(FedsDR).FedsDR clusters clients into groups correlated with their own lo-cal computational *** estimate the significance of client datasets,we design a novel data representativity evalua-tion scheme based on local data ***,the two most representative clients in each group are selected to optimize the global ***,the DYNAMIC-sELECT algorithm updates local computational efficiency and data representativity states to regroup clients after periodic average *** on real datasets show that Feds-DR improves client participation by 27.4%,37.9%,and 23.3%compared with FedAvg,TiFL,and Fedss,respectively,tak-ing fairness into account in federated *** addition,FedsDR surpasses FedAvg,FedGs,and FedMs by 21.32%,20.4%,and 6.90%,respectively,in local test accuracy variance,balancing the performance bias of the global model across clients.

Background:Vascular impairment is one of the major contributors to *** aimed to identify blood biomarkers suggestive of potential impairment of the blood-brain barrier(BBB)in subjects with Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Methods:We used administrative data from the VA Informatics and Computing Infrastructure Resource Center to study both inpatients and outpatients with *** samples from healthy control and AD individuals were analyzed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and proteomics approaches to identify differentially expressed *** analysis was applied to explore significantly enriched ***:In the same cohort of patients with AD,we found twice number of subjects with cerebral amyloid angiopathy in the two-year period after the onset of AD,compared to the number of subjects with cerebral amyloid angiopathy in the two-year period prior to AD *** pathways related to BBB,like cell adhesion,extracellular matrix organization and Wnt signaling,were activated and differentially expressed proteins such as ADAM22,PDGFR-α,DKK-4,Neucrin and RsOP-1 were ***,matrix metalloproteinase-9,which is implicated in causing degradation of basal lamina and BBB disruption,was significantly increased in the plasma of AD ***:Alteration of proteins found in AD subjects could provide new insights into biomarkers regulating permeability and BBB integrity.

The advent of Big Data has led to the rapid growth in the usage of parallel clustering algorithms that work over distributed computing frameworks such as MPI,MapReduce,and *** important step for any parallel clustering algorithm is the distribution of data amongst the cluster *** step governs the methodology and performance of the entire *** typically use random,or a spatial/geometric distribution strategy like kd-tree based partitioning and grid-based partitioning,as per the requirements of the ***,these strategies are generic and are not tailor-made for any specific parallel clustering *** this paper,we give a very comprehensive literature survey of MPI-based parallel clustering algorithms with special reference to the specific data distribution strategies they *** also propose three new data distribution strategies namely Parameterized Dimensional split for parallel density-based clustering algorithms like DBsCAN and OPTICs,Cell-Based Dimensional split for dGridsLINK,which is a grid-based hierarchical clustering algorithm that exhibits efficiency for disjoint spatial distribution,and Projection-Based split,which is a generic distribution *** of these preserve spatial locality,achieve disjoint partitioning,and ensure good data load *** experimental analysis shows the benefits of using the proposed data distribution strategies for algorithms they are designed for,based on which we give appropriate recommendations for their usage.

Temporal variability and sources of PFAs in the Rio Grande,New Mexico through an arid urban area using multiple tracers and highfrequency sampling

Per-and polyfluoroalkyl su.s.ances(PFAs)are ubiquitous in the environment but sources are not well defined for temporal and spatial aspects within an urban environment,and especially for an arid urban environment subject to seasonal short term high-intensity precipitation events.A focused diel sampling was conducted in the summer of 2021 to assess the temporal and spatial variability of PFAs in the Rio Grande near Albuquerque,New Mexico and showed an order of magnitude increase of PFAs as it flows through the Albuquerque urban *** samples were collected at two different locations on the Rio Grande in addition to wastewater treatment plant(WWTP)effluent that discharges directly to the Rio Grande between the sampling ***-term high-intensity precipitation events occurred during the study period and mobilized PFAs from urban *** organic matter composed of tryptophan-like organic su.s.ances and refined fuel and fuel byproducts,characteristic of an urban signature,were also related to the precipitation *** PFAs in discharge from the WWTP was consistent over a 24-h period with slight differences in some *** presence on the Rio Grande downstream of the WWTP was evidenced by a gadolinium anomaly as well as increases in several other trace elements,total dissolved nitrogen,and fluorescence indicators,in addition to *** varied depending on source contribution,where urban runoff was associated with PFOA,PFOs,and PFBA,whereas PFHxA and PFPeA were associated with wastewater *** addition,passive polar organic chemical integrative samplers(POCIs)using hydrophilic-lipid balance(HLB)sorption media were deployed for a month at two locations on the Rio Grande to assess longer term PFAs *** POCIs results show some compounds(PFPeA and PFHpA)were greater than the average concentration from discrete samples,whereas other compounds(PFHxA,PFOA,PFDA,and PFNA)were lower in the POCIs,and PFOs was very simila
