Objective:This descriptive cross-sectional study investigated the quality of life(QoL),selfcare knowledge access,and self-care needs of colorectal cancer patients after ***:A total of 142 colorectal cancer patients in the tumor hospital of Yunnan Province were invited to this survey one month *** of the participants was assessed using the Chinese version of the World Health Organization Quality of Life Instrument(WHOQOL-BREF).A self-prepared questionnaire was also administered to explore the sources of self-care knowledge and self-care needs of this ***:Response mean scores of the four domains of WHOQOL-BREF,namely,physical health,psychological health,social relations,and environmental health were 53.49,57.95,65.78 and 50.75,*** significant differences were found in the gender,age,education level,and occupation type in QoL scale among the groups using the u test and ANOVA(p>0.05).However,female colostomates scored higher grades in the physical area of QoL than male patients;the participants who willingly attended the self-care courses obtained higher scores in social area than those who were not ***:The QoL of this population was not ***-care program can be developed in accordance with the needs and educational background of the colostomates.

Impact of frailty on short-term postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing colorectal cancer surgery:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Revolutionizing tumor immunotherapy:unleashing the power of progenitor exhausted T cells

In exploring persistent infections and malignancies, a distinctive subgroup of CD8^(+) T cells, progenitor exhausted CD8^(+) T(Tpex) cells, has been identified. These Tpex cells are notable for their remarkable self-renewal and rapid proliferation abilities. Recent strides in immunotherapy have demonstrated that Tpex cells expand and differentiate into responsive exhausted CD8^(+) T cells, thus underscoring their critical role in the immunotherapeutic retort. Clinical examinations have further clarified a robust positive correlation between the proportional abundance of Tpex cells and enhanced clinical prognosis. Tpex cells have found noteworthy applications in the formulation of inventive immunotherapeutic approaches against tumors. This review describes the functions of Tpex cells in the tumor milieu, particularly their potential utility in tumor immunotherapy. Precisely directing Tpex cells may be essential to achieving successful outcomes in immunotherapy against tumors.

Lung cancer is a prevalent malignancy,and fatalities of the disease exceed 400,000 cases *** squamous cell carcinoma(LUSC)has been recognized as the most common pathological form of lung *** comprehensive understanding of molecular features related to LUSC progression has great significance in LUSC prognosis assessment and clinical *** this study,we aim to identify a panel of signature genes closely associated with LUSC,which can provide novel insights into the progression of *** expression profiles were retrieved from public resources including gene expression omnibus(GEO)and the cancer genome atlas(TCGA)*** expressed genes(DEGs)between LUSC specimens and normal lung tissues were identified by bioinformatics analyses.A total of 66 DEGs were identified based on two cohorts of *** plugin of Cytoscape software was utilized for the further analyses of the top 10 candidate hub genes including OGN,ABI3BP,MAMDC2,FGF7,FAM107A,SPARCL1,DCN,COL14A1,and MFAP4 and CHRDL1,which showed significant downregulation in *** LUSC cell lines were used to validate the functions of CHRDL1 and FAM107A through overexpression ***,our data revealed novel candidate tumor-suppressor genes in LUSC,suggesting previously unappreciated mechanisms in the progression of LUSC.

Identification of prognostic molecular subtypes and model based on CD8+ T cells for lung adenocarcinoma
