Moisture-enabled electricity(ME)is a method of converting the potential energy of water in the external environment into electrical energy through the interaction of functional materials with water molecules and can be directly applied to energy harvesting and signal ***,ME can be unreliable in numerous applications due to its sluggish response to moisture,thus sacrificing the value of fast energy harvesting and highly accurate information ***,by constructing a moisture-electric-moisture-sensitive(ME-MS)heterostructure,we develop an efficient ME generator with ultra-fast electric response to moisture achieved by triggering Grotthuss protons hopping in the sensitized ZnO,which modulates the heterostructure built-in interfacial potential,enables quick response(0.435 s),an unprecedented ultra-fast response rate of 972.4 mV s^(−1),and a durable electrical signal output for 8 h without any *** research provides an efficient way to generate electricity and important insight for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of moisture-generated carrier migration in ME generator,which has a more comprehensive working scene and can serve as a typical model for human health monitoring and smart medical electronics design.

Understanding the structural origin of the competition between oxygen 2p and transition-metal 3d orbitals in oxygen-redox(OR)layered oxides is eminently desirable for exploring reversible and high-energy-density Li/Na-ion ***,we reveal the correlation between cationic ordering transition and OR degradation in ribbon-ordered P3-Na_(0.6)Li_(0.2)Mn_(0.8)O_(2) via in situ structural *** two different voltage windows,the OR capacity can be improved approximately twofold when suppressing the in-plane cationic ordering *** find that the intralayer cationic migration is promoted by electrochemical reduction from Mn^(4+)to Jahn–Teller Mn^(3+)and the concomitant NaO_(6) stacking transformation from triangular prisms to octahedra,resulting in the loss of ribbon ordering and electrochemical ***-principles calculations reveal that Mn^(4+)/Mn^(3+)charge ordering and alignment of the degenerate eg orbital induce lattice-level collective Jahn–Teller distortion,which favors intralayer Mn-ion migration and thereby accelerates OR *** findings unravel the relationship between in-plane cationic ordering and OR reversibility and highlight the importance of superstructure protection for the rational design of reversible OR-active layered oxide cathodes.

Impacts of uncertain cloud-related parameters on Pacific Walker circulation simulation in GAMIL2

To investigate the impacts of uncertain parameters on simulated Pacific Walker circulation （PWC）, a large number of perturbed parameter simulations are conducted using GAMIL2 （the Grid-point Atmospheric Model of IAP/LASG, version 2）, and three different PWC indices are *** results show that the influences of some parameters on PWC are dependent on the selected index - a finding supported by the inconsistent responses of different indexes to these parameters. Among the nine parameters, the RH threshold for deep convection （RHCRIT） is the most sensitive in simulating PWC. Increased RHCRIT weakens deep convective heating and stratiform cooling, and strengthens shallow convective heating. Further analysis reveals that uncertain parameters affect the simulated PWC through changing the diabatic heating and vertical motion.

Thermoelectric(TE)technologies offer a promising approach for directly converting skin heat into electricity for wearable *** p-type Sb2Tes and n-type BizTes as top-performing materials at room temperature,their rigid inorganic structure,with ultralow moisture permeability,poses challenges in warm and humid conditions,fostering bacterial growth and potential skin *** address this issue,we developed a cross-linked core-shell structure by electrodepositing Sb_(2)Te_(3)(Bi_(2)Te_(3))onto carbon fiber(CF).This architecture significantly improved the electrical conductivity and the Seebeck coefficient,resulting in a remarkable 300-fold increase in the power factor compared to that of pure *** CF/Sb_(2)Te_(3) and CF/Bi2Te films demonstrated optimal power factors of 450 and 121μW·m^(-1)·K^(-2),***,the fabricated films exhibited outstanding moisture permeability,over 3000 g·m^(-2)·d^(-1),exceptional electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency approaching 93 dB,and versatility as sensors for language assistance and respiratory *** attributes underline their broad applicability,emphasizing their suitability for human health protection in diverse scenarios.

Fabrication and performance of Zinc-based biodegradable metals: From conventional processes to laser powder bed fusion

Zinc (Zn)-based biodegradable metals (BMs) fabricated through conventional manufacturing methods exhibit adequate mechanical strength, moderate degradation behavior, acceptable biocompatibility, and bioactive functions. Consequently, they are recognized as a new generation of bioactive metals and show promise in several applications. However, conventional manufacturing processes face formidable limitations for the fabrication of customized implants, such as porous scaffolds for tissue engineering, which are future direction towards precise medicine. As a metal additive manufacturing technology, laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) has the advantages of design freedom and formation precision by using fine powder particles to reliably fabricate metallic implants with customized structures according to patient-specific needs. The combination of Zn-based BMs and L-PBF has become a prominent research focus in the fields of biomaterials as well as biofabrication. Substantial progresses have been made in this interdisciplinary field recently. This work reviewed the current research status of Zn-based BMs manufactured by L-PBF, covering critical issues including powder particles, structure design, processing optimization, chemical compositions, surface modification, microstructure, mechanical properties, degradation behaviors, biocompatibility, and bioactive functions, and meanwhile clarified the influence mechanism of powder particle composition, structure design, and surface modification on the biodegradable performance of L-PBF Zn-based BM implants. Eventually, it was closed with the future perspectives of L-PBF of Zn-based BMs, putting forward based on state-of-the-art development and practical clinical needs.

Lagrangian view of time irreversibility of fluid turbulence

A turbulent flow is maintained by an external supply of kinetic gradients. The scale at which energy is supplied greatly differs energy, which is eventually dissipated into heat at steep velocity from the scale at which energy is dissipated, the more so as the turbulent intensity （the Reynolds number） is larger. The resulting energy flux over the range of scales, intermediate between energy injection and dissipation, acts as a source of time irreversibility. As it is now possible to follow accurately fluid particles in a turbulent flow field, both from laboratory experiments and from numerical simulations, a natural question arises： how do we detect time irreversibility from these Lagrangian data？ Here we discuss recent results concerning this problem. For Lagrangian statistics involving more than one fluid particle, the distance between fluid particles introduces an intrinsic length scale into the problem. The evolution of quantities dependent on the relative motion between these fluid particles, including the kinetic energy in the relative motion, or the configuration of an initially isotropic structure can be related to the equal-time correlation functions of the velocity field, and is therefore sensitive to the energy flux through scales, hence to the irreversibility of the flow. In contrast, for single- particle Lagrangian statistics, the most often studied velocity structure functions cannot distinguish the ＂arrow of time＂. Recent observations from experimental and numerical simulation data, however, show that the change of kinetic energy following the particle motion, is sensitive to time-reversal. We end the survey with a brief discussion of the implication of this line of work.

In panel data analysis,the cross-sectional dependence(CD)test has been extensively used to test the cross-sectional ***,this traditional CD test does not take serial correlation into consideration,which commonly occurs in many *** solve this problem,we propose an adjusted CD test which is able to effectively handle serial *** specifically,the serial correlation can be of arbitrary form in our ***,we establish the theoretical properties of the proposed adjusted CD *** extensive Monte Carlo experiments show that the traditional CD test cannot work well under serial correlation,while the proposed adjusted CD test does provide rather satisfactory performance.

Prevalence and treatment of hypertension in China： impacts of 2017 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association High Blood Pressure Guideline

The definition, recommended treatment thresholds and targets of hypertension have been updated in the recent 2017 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association(ACC/AHA) Guideline for the Prevention, Detection, Evaluation and Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults. However,the impacts of this guideline on Chinese population are currently unknown. In this study, we aim to provide updated data in China using criteria from the updated guideline. A multistage, stratified sampling method was used to obtain a representative sample of 50,171 adults aged 18 years and *** was defined as an average systolic blood pressure !130 mm Hg, or an average diastolic blood pressure !80 mm Hg, or self-reported use of antihypertensive medications in past 2 weeks. The weighted prevalence of hypertension was 60.1%(95% confidence interval [CI] 59.3%–61.0%). The treatment rate and recommended treatment rate were 16.8%(95% CI 16.1%–17.6%) and 53.7%(95% CI52.6%–54.9%), respectively; the gap was more prominent among men and participants from rural ***, the adoption of the 2017 ACC/AHA guideline will lead to a substantial increase in both prevalence and number of patients needing treatment in China. The applicability of this guideline should be carefully evaluated based on evidence from Chinese population.
