We introduce splitting coverings to enhance the well known analogy between field extensions and covering spaces. Semi-topological Galois groups are defined for Weier- strass polynomials and a Galois correspondence is proved. Combining results from braid groups, we solve the topological inverse Galois problem. As an application, symmetric and cyclic groups are realized over Q.

Ternary Sn-Zn-Ni alloys were prepared and equilibrated at 250℃for 4-15 *** phases formed in these equilibrated alloys were determined *** isothermal section of Sn-Zn-Ni system was constructed,based on the phase diagrams of the three constituent binary systems and the ternary phase equilibria data,determined in this study and referenced in literatures.12 single-phase regions were identified in the Sn-Zn-Ni ternary system at 250℃,including the three ternary compounds,δ,τ1andτ*** were 13 ternary phase regions and 23 binary phase regions in the 250℃Sn-Zn-Ni isothermal *** solubility of Zn in the binary Sn-Ni compounds is significant,and is 15.1%（mole fraction） in the Ni3Sn phase.

We report a compact and wavelength-tunable periodically poled lithium niobate(PPLN)Q-switched laser with intra-cavity optical parametric generation,producing 8-ns,10-𝜈μJ pulses at 10-kHz repetition rate when pumped with a 10-W diode laser at *** output wavelength can be tuned from 1450nm to ***-pulse generation was observed in the experiment.

We investigated the characteristics of ambient particles and their relationships with various environmental factors, including gaseous pollutants （CI-h, non-methane hydrocarbons （NMHC）, total hydrocarbons （THC）, NOx, CO, SO2）, meteorological parameters （humidity, temperature）, and time （day/night, workday/weekend）. We used an electrical low-pressure cascade impactor to measure the number and size distributions of ambient particles （0.007-10 ~m） that were collected approximately 1 km northwest of Hsinchu Science Park in Taiwan between February and May 2007. The number concentrations of particles were enhanced through photochemical reactions during the day. In addition, high traffic flow during workdays increased the formation of particulates. Except for SO2, all of the gaseous pollutants we studied （CH4, NMHC, THC, NOx, CO） correlated positively with the total number concentrations of ambient particles during daytime, indicating that they might contribute to the particulate burden. The poorer relationship between the SO2 level and the total number concentration of particles suggests that SO2 might participate indirectly in the nucleation process during particle formation, The high enrichment factors for Zn, Pb, Cu, and Mn, which mostly comprised the ultrafine particles （diameter：〈 0.1 Ixm） and fine particles （diameter： 0.1-1 ~tm）, presumably arose from emissions from traffic and high technology factories. Heterogeneous reactions on solid particles might play a role in the removal of SOx and NOx from the atmosphere. Sulfides and nitrides can further react with these local pollutants, forming specific Cu-containing compounds： Cut （39%）, CuSO4 （34%）, and Cu（NO3）2 （27%）, within the ambient particles in this industrial area.

Optically induced electroporation(OIE)is a promising microfluidic-based approach for the electroporation of cell ***,previously proposed microfluidic cell-electroporation devices required tedious sample pre-treatment steps,specifically,periodic media *** enable the use of this OIE process in a practical protocol,we developed a new design for a microfluidic device that can perform continuous OIE;i.e.,it is capable of automatically replacing the culture medium with electroporation *** medium exchanges on-chip with OIE minimises critical issues such as cell loss and damage,both of which are common in traditional,centrifuge-based *** importantly,our new system is suitable for handling small or rare cell *** medium exchange modules,including a micropost array railing structure and a deterministic lateral displacement structure,were first adopted and optimised for medium exchange and then integrated with the OIE *** efficacy of these integrated microfluidic systems was demonstrated by transfecting an enhanced green fluorescent protein(EGFP)plasmid into human embryonic kidney 293T cells,with an efficiency of 8.3%.This result is the highest efficiency reported for any existing OIE-based microfluidic *** addition,successful co-transfections of three distinct plasmids(EGFP,DsRed and ECFP)into cells were successfully ***,we demonstrated that this system is capable of automatically performing multiple gene transfections into mammalian cells.

The two-center problem,also known as Euler's three-body problem,is a classic example of integrable *** its periodic solutions,planetary type solutions are periodic solutions which enclose both *** by advances on n-body and n-center problems via variational techniques developed during the past two decades,a recent paper(***.2022)shows the minimizing property of planetary type solutions for any given masses of centers at fixed positions,as long as the period is above a mass-dependent threshold *** this paper,we provide further discussions regarding this minimizing *** particular,we improve the above-mentioned mass-dependent threshold value by refining estimates for action values.

An application-expected ideal two-dimensional Rashba electron gas,i.e.,nearly all the conduction electrons occupy the Rashba bands,is crucial for semiconductor spintronic *** demonstrate that such an ideal two-dimensional Rashba electron gas with a large Rashba splitting can be realized in a topological insulator Bi_(2)Se_(3) ultrathin film grown on a transition metal dichalcogenides MoTe_(2) substrate through first-principle *** results show the Rashba bands exclusively over a very large energy interval of about 0.6 eV around the Fermi level within the MoTe2 semiconducting *** a wide-range ideal twodimensional Rashba electron gas with a large spin splitting,which is desirable for real devices utilizing the Rashba effect,has never been found *** to the strong spin-orbit coupling,the strength of the Rashba splitting is comparable with that of the heavy-metal surfaces such as Au and Bi surfaces,giving rise to a spin precession length as small as~10 *** maximum in-plane spin polarization of the inner(outer)Rashba band near theΓpoint is about 70%(60%).The room-temperature coherence length is at least several times longer than the spin precession length,providing good coherency through the spin processing *** wide energy window for ideal Rashba bands,small spin precession length,as well as long spin coherence length in this twodimensional topological insulator/transition metal dichalcogenides heterostructure pave the way for realizing an ultrathin nanoscale spintronic device such as the Datta-Das spin transistor at room-temperature.

Supercapacitors have been recognized as one of the promising energy storage devices in the future energy *** this perspective,rapid progress is made in the development of fundamental and applied aspects of *** techniques have been developed specifically to estimate the specific *** efforts have been made in the literature to increase the specific capacitance of electrode ***,researchers pay more attention on designing supercapacitors of asymmetric type with extending cell voltage and dissimilar materials with complementary working *** try to increase the specific energy of asymmetric supercapacitors(ASCs).Conversely,it is still a challenge to find a suitable operation conditions for ASCs in various designs,especially for the one with battery type *** this review,we describe our recent research works and other reports on the preparation of various nanostructured electrode materials and the performances of both symmetric and asymmetric ***,we demonstrate effects of charge balance on the capacitive performances of ASCs which consist of one electrode material of the battery type and one capacitive *** also demonstrate how to evaluate the charge capacities of both positive and negative electrode materials for this ASC application.
